Im just very anxious sence my last pregnancy my baby didnt developed he stoped growing at 6 weeks ...well my question is does the medication nitrofurantoin mono mac makes the baby development stop? does it interfear with my pregnancy? do i have anything to worrie about?

has anyone taken nitrofurantoin mono/Mac 100mg for a uti? if so what the outcome and was your baby Ok afterwards?

I have just got to 3 days on nitrofurantoin for uti, dizziness and headache got too bad as side effects. And now I'm losing my hearing too, no wax. It's inside and pain all over my face. Still dizzy, hearing been getting worse all day. Very quick. It's definitely the nitrofurantoin. I wondered as it says it can swell the salivary glands, cause sore throats and constant cold if it's to do with thst or a part of the nerve damage side effect? Did it resolve for you?

Hi , Gabapin (Gabapentin also called Neurontin) is a neurologic drug probably given for the tingling. But the Nitrofurantoin has tingling as a less common side affect. So it will probably go away when you stop the antibiotic. If it is working she can stay on it until it is finished then the tingling will go away and she can get off the Gabapin too. Gabapin causes sleepiness or tireness as well.

What is the difference? I got prescribed antibiotics, ones I have never heard of before--nitrofurantoin mono/mac 100 mg 2 x daily. I have been on them for 3-4 days now but don't feel better yet. I'm on anti tubercular treatment since last 17 mths..another month for ATT and then antiepileptic shall continue for another 3 mths. Recently I have started several different medications: -omeprazol for gastritis -nitrofurantoin for a uti -adderall for adhd, but i've taken it in the past and never had headaches or nausea My brief online research indicates that omeprazol can cause headaches, but my headaches/nausea started after I began nitrofurantoin. Mono can be a big deal when you have liver involvement particularly if your spleen is enlarged. If i were you, I'd get looked at. Better safe than sorry!
