I will check the ingred in the protein shake but this rash and reaction was not the same as the time I had the niacin "flush".
I did go to the dermatologist and they suggested it was a piece of jewelry since it is localized to my neck and chest. They gave me a prescription for cortisone cream and it seems to be helping to lessen the redness and itching.

Niacin can cause flushing which happens when our blood vessels expand (which niacin is used for) and the blood rises closer to our skin which can cause really intense sensations of heat, extreme itching and a deep red "flush" of color to our skin which is usually limited to the upper portion of our bodies...........chest, neck, arms and head.

Hi few days ago I bought vitamin complex inside have many vitamins like a,b,c,d,k niacin , zink and etc and I got it 6 days and I have skin rash that's why I stopped getting vitamin and I know I need vitamins bcz I don't eat vegetables and now I wanted to know what I can do for skin it's all rash on neck and cheeks and can I get vitamin or I need change brand
Well I just flipped out. I read niacin is helpfully with pain pill withdrawals so I got some.

Niacin is a B vitamin and is used in reducing cholesterol. A common side effect of Niacin is flushing. The flushing makes your skin red in color and sometimes warm to the touch. My symptoms started a few days after I started taking a new multivitamin that has 5 times as much of the daily requirement of Niacin (B3). My little guy who is a superslim biracial child (white/African-American) has developed a dark patch of skin on the front of his neck. It looks a bit scaley in appearrance. the rash on her face increased and pain worsened ( clear fluid began leaking out of the nose and it burns the skin. RSD was diagnosed she then began vomiting all day and her skin peels off leaving large scars. she gets rashes that look like small purple bug bites.she struggles to get a satisfying breath and has extreme joint pain and stiffness... we have ruled out lupus and ms and endocrine does not believe any of the symptoms come from the hashimotos nor do they believe it comes from the rsd.
