nexium while pregnant

Anyone use ranitidine while pregnant? I am 33w4d and yesterday my doc prescribed me 150mg tablets to take twice a day for heartburn. Anyone use ranitidine while pregnant? I just want to make sure its safe.

Nexium is just fine to take on treatment as is the other PPI's. My hepatologist ordered me Nexium during tx and then led me go to Prilosec or prevacid when the became OTC. And sense i'm now SVR there wasn't a problem with them.........

Never took Nexium or any PPI prior to treatment, but took Nexium a day for most of treatment. After treatment, I was able to stop completely. So, treat yourself a little more of that purple pill if it will make your QOL on tx better. In addition, you might also try an H-2 pump like Zantac or Pepsid AC (not Pepsid Complete) at bedtime. Also, an antacid (like Tums, Mylanta) here or there is no problem as long as you space it around 3 hours away from your riba dosing.

I talked her into stopping nexium for a while and the knee pain subsided. However, she said that she had to have the acid reflux medicine. Could the nexium have caused fluid in her knees? I've been taking Naxium in the evening (4-5pm) at least an hour before having dinner.

There is nothing in the manufacturer's literature regarding bone loss with Nexium. If the Nexium is diminishing your calcium supply then you may need to increase your calcium intake. I apologize in advance for the long post but I want to give the full details in hopes of finding some answers. Back in December, I finally broke down and had an upper endoscopy done. When I was pregnant with my son I used mylanta. Just ask your doctor what is okay for you to take.

I came down with a sinus infection. Can you take amoxicillin while on nexium? My dr says yes, but there r some blogs that say no.

my insurence does not pay for brand Nexium. Only brand Nexium works. The company who makes Nexium will ok brand if I have a rejection from my Ins. Co. I called my Ins. co and they said that the do not send papers out that they do not pay for brands. Hello, I am 16 turning 17 in May. I started taking Nexium in 2013 in August. I have a severe case of Acid Reflux. My esophagus is mildly burned. I have no ulcers. Ever since I was 5 I had acid reflux disease for years we couldn't figure it out neither could my mom she just thought I had bad morning stomach aches until she became an EMT paramedic in 2010, ever since she figured it out we've been looking for medicine to help.

I was diagnosed with GERD several months ago, and lived with almost daily pain (no meds were really working) until about 2 months ago, when I started Nexium. I was blissfully almost with any symptoms for about 6 weeks, even if I ate common reflux triggers, but now I'm experiencing pain again. Can Nexium just stop working like that? I should add that my diagnosis came after basic blood tests, an endoscopy, an ultrasound to check my gallbladder and a CT scan of my abdomen.
