s gym. Nexium...I have been on this for 6 years now and the only side effect I have is diarrhea. My gastroenterologist does not seem to be concerned because the Nexium is working for me. Nexium is not suppose to effect the joints. Have your sister talk to her doctor. He may want to do some tests on her knee. It could be other issues.

Read the side effects to the prilosec, I know Nexium and others can have side effects that include diarrhea.

If you google Celexa side effects, what you're experiencing seems to be an expected side effect. Did all this start after you began taking Celexa?

I've been dealing with gerd issues for the last half year. Colonoscopy and endoscopy were negative. I did do a series of rolling barium stomach xray which did show my stomach was on a roller coaster ride. I've been on most of the meds for gerd, from Zantac to Nexium to Lansoprazole to Pantoprazole. It mostly works for my GERD - without it it is unbearable. The problem I have is the terrible side effects. They are all gastrointestinal. I am miserable all the time. Metamucil is good, really any type of fiber supplement, but just like a medicine, there can be side effects. The trick is to keep trying a bunch of different ones til you find one that works for you. Also, you need to drink a lot of water (60oz a day). I'd also stay away from stomach irritants. i.e. gluten, dairy, acids, etc.

I hated prednisone and dread it to this day whenever any doctor mentions even putting me on that med due to the numerous side effects that it caused in my case. I would ask the doc if you can double up on the Nexium, if it is very severe, then maybe you need a few tests to make sure nothing serious is going on with you.

ive heard of many people who have taken nexium for many years and dont suffer the side-effects that you described, and also have not gained weight because they choose to excersise everyday and watch what they eat. look its your choice there is a sensible way of taking nexium and keeping fit and taking nexium and eating non-healthy, cheers.

I started taking Pradaxa less thatn a montha ago and am taking the same dosage and noticed the same heartburn and was prescribed Nexium for it. That is one of the side effects. I really did not experience the fatigue but I do have hip pain but I think that is due to skipping the gym for a couple of weeks. I'd call the Doc and let them know what is up.

I took/take Prevacid for 6 weeks and also have terrible side effects from it. Anxiety gone through the roof, muscle twitching in my throat, depression beyond believe. I was supposed to take 30 mg a day but because I had a really bad swallowing problem (turned out those were actually anxiety crampings of my throat) I took a few times 60 mg a day (morning and evening a 30 mg).

Hi I had a colonscopy 10/09/09, and I'm still having side effects. At first I couldn't stop going liquid then it cleared up for a couple of days now it's back.They found 4 polyps again beign but the kind that can turn into cancer so I have to have another next year. But I'm having to use tucks and I'm bleeding off and on from the rectum. I still have bloating feel kind of tired.
