nexium nursing responsibilities

I'm just now reading posts in this forum so this is rather late. Fosomax can cause jaw bone problems; not sure about the teeth. I had problems on Nexium (prescribed for GERD- another issue) and reported it to the FDA. Others must have also as now there are new warnings for Nexium. You should notify the FDA, one never knows and possibly others are having problems too. I have osteoporosis and still refuse to take that class of drugs.

The only thing I keep coming back to is the fact that my regular doctor advised me to double my dose of Nexium every day and added another stomach med, which I quit taking after finding out it could cause 'anixety'. Could my Nexium have sent me into this downward, uncontrollable anxiety? I can't eat, sleep, or relax. I am literally taking it minute to minute. Any ideas? Oh, would I welcome something, I will try almost anything at this point.

He followed up with his doctor on this and I do not think they did the right thing by giving him Nexium. Since he has been on the nexium he has gained 20-30lbs and is now feeling bloated and worse than before. I just do not know what to do about this anymore. I do not know what it could be caused from. If maybe I could get a diet for this type of thing so i knew what kinds of foods that would be best for his stomach and or a better diagnosis. Could this be IBS? We will be following up with a G.

Yes, Nexium is completely safe to take with hepatitis C.

my insurence does not pay for brand Nexium. Only brand Nexium works. The company who makes Nexium will ok brand if I have a rejection from my Ins. Co. I called my Ins. co and they said that the do not send papers out that they do not pay for brands. Hello, I am 16 turning 17 in May. I started taking Nexium in 2013 in August. I have a severe case of Acid Reflux. My esophagus is mildly burned. I have no ulcers. Ever since I was 5 I had acid reflux disease for years we couldn't figure it out neither could my mom she just thought I had bad morning stomach aches until she became an EMT paramedic in 2010, ever since she figured it out we've been looking for medicine to help.

I dont take prevacid but have been on nexium over 10 years. I looked it up after I read your post and was horrified to find these side affects listed under it too. I have severe osteoporosis plus many other health problems including some heart related. I feel now I need to get off it but am told its hard. Did your dr advise you of best way to do that? This person can come out to your home and set up home visits with nurses and nursing aids to help you thru daily activities that you need help with concerning your wife. They can also help set up very low cost meals to be delivered to your home. We had to have assistance when my grandma was very ill. The social workers have a list of people and services that they trust and work with regularly. It's easier to use their resources then trying to find them on your own.

I doubt that "NEXIUM" has anything to do with your sisters knee pain. You can refer to the package insert if you look up the medication..

I take 40mg daily of nexium daily. I was having acid attacks even with the Nexium, alway at night when sleeping. I have the wedge, extra pillows etc. Garvistan, Tums next to my bed. I once asked Dr. when could I stop Nexium he said I would need to lose weight. I have low iron, low B levels. Thinning hair etc. I already have spinal stenosis. There is nothing in the manufacturer's literature regarding bone loss with Nexium. If the Nexium is diminishing your calcium supply then you may need to increase your calcium intake. First, I would suggest a bone density scan to make sure if your calcium levels are low or not and to measure the strength of your bones. Please discuss this issue further with your primary doctor.

Been taking Zantac effervescent regularly and have tried every other drug known to man but the doctor suggested we try 20mg Nexium a day to see if that helps.
