i have just had surgery for the reflux 2 weeks ago and no longer have to take the nexium. i had chest pain, numbness, dizziness, and reflux everyday. i thought being dizzy was normal for me. after the surgery i dont have any chest pain but my throat still closes and thats when im dizzy. my doctor says that should go away because that is a symptom of post surgery. hopefully he is right. good luck.
I've been dealing with gerd issues for the last half year. Colonoscopy and endoscopy were negative. I did do a series of rolling barium stomach xray which did show my stomach was on a roller coaster ride. I've been on most of the meds for gerd, from Zantac to Nexium to Lansoprazole to Pantoprazole. In December I started to develope numbness in my left foot and right hand. (Last night I noticed my left anke was swollen.
I am a 34 year old male. About 10 months ago, my right leg began feeling slightly weak or "off." A couple months later, I began experiencing short episodes of numbness and tingling in both of my arms (which were almost always dependent on bending or raising my arms). The slightly weak leg and numbness and tingling in the arms continue off and on until today -- sometimes things feel totally normal and sometimes the symptoms come back.
He followed up with his doctor on this and I do not think they did the right thing by giving him Nexium. Since he has been on the nexium he has gained 20-30lbs and is now feeling bloated and worse than before. I just do not know what to do about this anymore. I do not know what it could be caused from. If maybe I could get a diet for this type of thing so i knew what kinds of foods that would be best for his stomach and or a better diagnosis. Could this be IBS? We will be following up with a G.

hello , i have plm with burp , it hard to get burp . i take nexium wont work , what i do ?
Has anyone else experienced only nexium working? I have used all other medicines and they don't seem to work, but now my insurance company wont pay for it.

my insurence does not pay for brand Nexium. Only brand Nexium works. The company who makes Nexium will ok brand if I have a rejection from my Ins. Co. I called my Ins. co and they said that the do not send papers out that they do not pay for brands. How can I resolved this problem?

Hello, I am 16 turning 17 in May. I started taking Nexium in 2013 in August. I have a severe case of Acid Reflux. My esophagus is mildly burned. I have no ulcers. Ever since I was 5 I had acid reflux disease for years we couldn't figure it out neither could my mom she just thought I had bad morning stomach aches until she became an EMT paramedic in 2010, ever since she figured it out we've been looking for medicine to help.
Nexium 40mg. twice a day, Amlodipine Bensylate 5mg. once a day, Trilipix 135mg. once a day and Ibuprofen 600mg. when needed. Pravastatin Sodium 40mg. once a day and Alprazolam 1mg. twice a day. I have been to my doctor and have told him about it and he just says, its anxiety. Does anyone know what might be causing this ?? I am tired of hearing that it is anxiety ! Please help !!!!!!!!!!!
I do have a appointment with the cardio tomorrow. I had just started taking Nexium 2 days before (for the GERD) and I have been having a lot of stress (I had a breast lump that came back benign). I got that news the day before the episode, so you would think I would be elated, not having strange heart stuff. Now, I'm anxious all over again with my heart. It doesn't help that I have these anxiety attacks (with pounding heart) from worrying about things.

I take cytomel, lyrica (which I am wondering about), nexium, travatan eye drops for high eye pressure, and trazadone to sleep.I also take birth control for pain and was told to stop on Wed. and start taking an aspirin. I had double vision two months ago, 3 episodes of blurred vision with low vision, and eye achiness. I'm not myself and frightened. One optho doc (from out of town) said go to ER immediately if it happens and the opthomalogist here thought it wasn't necessary. Any input?
I doubt that "NEXIUM" has anything to do with your sisters knee pain. You can refer to the package insert if you look up the medication..
I take 40mg daily of nexium daily. I was having acid attacks even with the Nexium, alway at night when sleeping. I have the wedge, extra pillows etc. Garvistan, Tums next to my bed. I once asked Dr. when could I stop Nexium he said I would need to lose weight. I have low iron, low B levels. Thinning hair etc. I already have spinal stenosis. I have been on Nexium for at least 10 years. Anyone out there who's been able to quit Nexium, let me know how and how long it took.
There is nothing in the manufacturer's literature regarding bone loss with Nexium. If the Nexium is diminishing your calcium supply then you may need to increase your calcium intake. First, I would suggest a bone density scan to make sure if your calcium levels are low or not and to measure the strength of your bones. Please discuss this issue further with your primary doctor.
It all started with muscle pain after 2 weeks from exposure and had cough for about 35 days, severe acid reflux for about 2 months. Numbness in my face after 1 month after exposure. The doctor gave me 'Methylprednisolone' (4mg- 1week) for the numbess in the face and head and i do not have the numbness any more.
