Hello, I am 16 turning 17 in May. I started taking Nexium in 2013 in August. I have a severe case of Acid Reflux. My esophagus is mildly burned. I have no ulcers. Ever since I was 5 I had acid reflux disease for years we couldn't figure it out neither could my mom she just thought I had bad morning stomach aches until she became an EMT paramedic in 2010, ever since she figured it out we've been looking for medicine to help.
I had a partial hysterectomy and a bladder sling placed in December 2010. I started having stomach pain and thought it might be a recurrence of a ulcer. A CT scan and a HPyloreic test proved this negative. I went back to my Gyn and was given a Transvaginal Ultrasound. Very Painful! Md said that sling was placed right but the vaginal wall was thin and there could be erosion. She gave me Estrogen tabs (vaginal) and told me to come back in a month.
I started taking Nexium 8 years ago for acid reflux, prescribed by a physician. At first i took 2-3 40mg pills a week. Then gradually progressed to 40mg every day. If i skipped a day my reflux was intolerable. Was diagnosed with hiatal hernia in 2004 by a gastroenterologist. A few years before i started taking nexium i had burning in the esophagus after eating certain foods, drinking orange juice, iced tea.

You can buy these enzymes from health food stores. To note: there is a rebound effect to start with when you stop nexium. This was found in clinical trials when healthy people with no digestive problems developed acid reflux after stopping nexium. Osteoporosis can be reversed as well.

My reflux problem started approx 4 years ago.
I did a juice based diet and then shortly after I would experience burning only in the stomach area nowhere else. It didn't travel up the Oesophagus at all.
The treatment method was and is still Nexium 40. I take 1 Nexium 40 every 3 days and then obviously repeat this as the stomach acid returns.
BUT, im mad because i know the dr will tell my dad. And, i cant have that. I dont want my family knowing. Do i have any course of a lawsuit? What do i do? I want to talk to my fam dr but im embarrassed becasue i feel like he wont understand and he will look at me as a dope addict. I never dr shopped, ever. Never.
I was diagnosed with Barrett's in 2006, and have been on Nexium (40mg) daily ever since. Fortunately, the Barrett's has healed completely, but I am concerned that continued use of Nexium may result in loss of bone and eventual hip fracture. I take calcum, vitamin D, (and other supplements) and exercise regularly, but I can feel my bones "thinning down" (fingers and toes). Is there anything else I should be doing to keep my bone strength up?
for those of you who do: FYI, there's a lawsuit against the FDA for allowing arsenic in poultry feed. The worst offenders were Church's & Popeye's, but all the big names are represented.
Admittedly, I don't understand the difference between organic & inorganic arsenic, and how it changes from one to the other, but studies are showing that it causes health problems.
The patented arsenic food is banned in MD.
He followed up with his doctor on this and I do not think they did the right thing by giving him Nexium. Since he has been on the nexium he has gained 20-30lbs and is now feeling bloated and worse than before. I just do not know what to do about this anymore. I do not know what it could be caused from. If maybe I could get a diet for this type of thing so i knew what kinds of foods that would be best for his stomach and or a better diagnosis. Could this be IBS? We will be following up with a G.

hello , i have plm with burp , it hard to get burp . i take nexium wont work , what i do ?
Has anyone else experienced only nexium working? I have used all other medicines and they don't seem to work, but now my insurance company wont pay for it.
does nexium cause cancer in the long run

my insurence does not pay for brand Nexium. Only brand Nexium works. The company who makes Nexium will ok brand if I have a rejection from my Ins. Co. I called my Ins. co and they said that the do not send papers out that they do not pay for brands. How can I resolved this problem?

I have been having really bad heartburn and a burning feeling in my stomach. I was told to take Nexium but I have a severe allergy to penicillin. My question is, can I take nexium if I'm allergic to penicillin?
Since August of 2010 I've had chest pain, difficulty breathing, incredible stomach bloating/distention (even after just drinking a glass of water), burping, reflux, and heartburn. My main concern is the bloating and difficulty breathing. I can barely function on a day to day basis. I eat little bites all day long because I can't eat a full meal or I start hyperventilating. I have had an EGD which showed a polyp (was removed) and some mild esophagitis. I don't have H.
Also was on Nexium, about a year later I missed 2 days doses of my nexium tablets and my vomiting seemed to subside some, come to find out that Nexium was contributing to my some of my sickness, my Dr. said that 2% of people who take nexium have severe vomitting as a side effect. I have a few good days, and then I have spans of days or even up to 1.
