Yes, Nexium is completely safe to take with hepatitis C.

Has anyone else experienced only nexium working? I have used all other medicines and they don't seem to work, but now my insurance company wont pay for it.

my insurence does not pay for brand Nexium. Only brand Nexium works. The company who makes Nexium will ok brand if I have a rejection from my Ins. Co. I called my Ins. co and they said that the do not send papers out that they do not pay for brands. Hello, I am 16 turning 17 in May. I started taking Nexium in 2013 in August. I have a severe case of Acid Reflux. My esophagus is mildly burned. I have no ulcers. Ever since I was 5 I had acid reflux disease for years we couldn't figure it out neither could my mom she just thought I had bad morning stomach aches until she became an EMT paramedic in 2010, ever since she figured it out we've been looking for medicine to help.

My doctor told me zantac and when and if that stopped working prilosec OTC they both work wonders.

Back in March of 2011 I started feeling ill. My doctor thought I might have had an ulcer. She gave me Nexium. Between May and August I started feeling too sick to sit up. I eneded up going to a specialist hopeing to find a true answer. He did an endoscopy and did find that I had two duodenal ulcers. He started me back on the Nexium. For a time I did feel better. About a week before christmas I ate a bad egg and was horribly ill for weeks far longer then I should have been.

I was diagnosed with Gerd in 2013 since then i have taken omperazole, nexium, zantac basically anything i could afford since the insurance stopped covering it. Ive had issues here an there with dysphia but lately it has gotten worse. I always cut my food in tiny bites i take my time in fact my kids pick on me cause i take so long to eat. But in the past 2 days i have had the issue 3 times. My new dr only wants me to try omperazole for another 3 months then she's sending me back to the gi dr.

I would like to fold up in a corner somewhere and just quit but i can't. I have four kids and my 80 year old father that depend on me and i don't want to take some med that nums me from what is really happening if there is something else going on. I have to many reasons to live. But if it is anxiety and thats all well i need some freakin' help then.

I doubt that "NEXIUM" has anything to do with your sisters knee pain. You can refer to the package insert if you look up the medication..

Hi, I'm new to the boards and don't really have a diagnosis yet. I'm a 44 year old otherwise healthy female. I've had one visit with a gastro who thinks I have something stomach and acid-related based on symptoms, history, and limited other tests. I won't go into my other symptoms, but have posted them on the general gastroenterology board (and colon board - which I really don't think it's colon anymore). I am scheduled for an endoscopy tomorrow.

I take 40mg daily of nexium daily. I was having acid attacks even with the Nexium, alway at night when sleeping. I have the wedge, extra pillows etc. Garvistan, Tums next to my bed. I once asked Dr. when could I stop Nexium he said I would need to lose weight. I have low iron, low B levels. Thinning hair etc. I already have spinal stenosis. I have been on Nexium for at least 10 years. Anyone out there who's been able to quit Nexium, let me know how and how long it took.

There is nothing in the manufacturer's literature regarding bone loss with Nexium. If the Nexium is diminishing your calcium supply then you may need to increase your calcium intake. First, I would suggest a bone density scan to make sure if your calcium levels are low or not and to measure the strength of your bones. Please discuss this issue further with your primary doctor.

I have pain belowmy rib cage that my DR has me taking Nexium for. I have been taking it for a couple of years now. My company is changing insurance and the nexium is going to rise considerably in cost when we swich to cigna. I need a cost effective alternative to discuss with my doctor. The Nexium has been very effective for me. I wish I didn't have to change.

Been taking Zantac effervescent regularly and have tried every other drug known to man but the doctor suggested we try 20mg Nexium a day to see if that helps. It has, but after 10 days now I seem to be getting worse again. Also started taking Gaviscon (again) before meals. The question is how long do we take the Nexium? permenently, or stop when I feel better? the doctor was vague abd said the usual; come back in 2 weeks and let me know how you are. I ran out of Nexium and am trying to get by with Prilosec until I see my gastro doc. It's not working very well. Anyone got any tips? I'm taking lots of Tums, but still burning like crazy. I've been on the Nexium for years and would love to get off of it if there is something less physically addictive.
