nexium directions

I have been on Aciphex 20 since 2007, with instant results. After changing Health Ins. , I am told by the current insurer that they won't cover Aciphex. I must go thru a step program, starting with Nexium, which my Doctor dosed at 40 mg instead of 20 mg, saying Nexium didn't come in 20 and the 40mg of Nexium is comparable to the 20 mg Aciphex . Questions: (1) Is the above true? (2) Are the side effects the same, and (3) What's the difference between the two.

I am 76. I stopped taking Nexium because it caused me digestion problems. I have been taking Prevacid24 for 5 days. It seems to be working. The directions say I can only take it for 14 days. So what do I do after the 14 days is over? Thank you, Guy.

I do take a beta blocker for PVCs that has worked well for several years. I have also been taking Nexium and had just tried weaning off after several months.First of course I went to the cardiologist. Everything looks good, but doc suggested nuclear treadmill. I declined as I've always been told my EKGs are good other than something he called "unspecifed" that has always shown up.

The only things I took while tx was vitamin D, and a multi. I have GERD and a touch of Barretts esophagus and take an occasional nexium. I also take a teaspoon of psyllium a day(3-4 hrs away from the meds) for regularity.Drank lots and lots of water. And lastly a few Activias now and then. Anyone spot a problem with this little protocol? Does age play a part?. Im 68. Weight 165 lbs.

ve had problems in the past. I was on and off Nexium for some time but the last time I took it, for 4 or 5 mos straight, I had side effects of bad muscle pain. I know this drug is in the same class. Was wondering if anyone has used the Omeprazole DR and, if so, any problems/side effects? Did it seem to help?

In the meantime, try taking some DGL (chewable tablets; follow the directions in the package for usage) and aloe vera extract. Chamomile might also be a good idea. But before any of this make an appointment with a doctor, quickly. Good luck.

ALl good with it . Tried all different medicines like nexium , Gaviscon , Endep- 10 Mg, iberogast. Tried all way of like reduce eating . diet and all but no luck. As a indian i'm eating indian food everyday so i dont know if that makes me sick everyday night ? But i eat same food from last 30 years and why its just now from last 3 years? i havent tried any lactose free diet or gluten free diet . i dont know if that will help ?

Since he has been on the nexium he has gained 20-30lbs and is now feeling bloated and worse than before. I just do not know what to do about this anymore. I do not know what it could be caused from. If maybe I could get a diet for this type of thing so i knew what kinds of foods that would be best for his stomach and or a better diagnosis. Could this be IBS? We will be following up with a G.

my insurence does not pay for brand Nexium. Only brand Nexium works. The company who makes Nexium will ok brand if I have a rejection from my Ins. Co. I called my Ins. co and they said that the do not send papers out that they do not pay for brands. Hello, I am 16 turning 17 in May. I started taking Nexium in 2013 in August. I have a severe case of Acid Reflux. My esophagus is mildly burned. I have no ulcers. Ever since I was 5 I had acid reflux disease for years we couldn't figure it out neither could my mom she just thought I had bad morning stomach aches until she became an EMT paramedic in 2010, ever since she figured it out we've been looking for medicine to help.

S (Proton pump inhibitors) are fine to take before or during tx. I am on tx and taking nexium, prevacid is also a good one. prilosec otc is also fine to take. I took it before starting tx and my viral load had never been lower. Not that prilosec made a difference but it sure did not make it go up.

I went to so my doctor be one day I started with this slight pain in the soft spot between my breast bone and I started to vomit. He told me he thinks it's acid reflux so he gave me Nexium. I doubt that "NEXIUM" has anything to do with your sisters knee pain. You can refer to the package insert if you look up the medication..

I take 40mg daily of nexium daily. I was having acid attacks even with the Nexium, alway at night when sleeping. I have the wedge, extra pillows etc. Garvistan, Tums next to my bed. I once asked Dr. when could I stop Nexium he said I would need to lose weight. I have low iron, low B levels. Thinning hair etc. I already have spinal stenosis. I have been on Nexium for at least 10 years. Anyone out there who's been able to quit Nexium, let me know how and how long it took.

There is nothing in the manufacturer's literature regarding bone loss with Nexium. If the Nexium is diminishing your calcium supply then you may need to increase your calcium intake. Well, I tried to post this question the other day and didn't get any response so I thought I'd try again. I'm on Entocort and Nexium for my Crohns and Gastritis.
