nexium best time to take

Hi, I have acid reflux that comes back from time to time if I am not careful with my lifestyle (eating habits, diet, etc) Recently, my gerd started acting up again but this time I didn't have abdominal pains, only heartburn and nausea that's really bothering me. I went to a GI and she prescribed me with nexium in the morning (I usually take nexium everytime my gerd acts up) and zantac in the evening before bedtime.

Just wondering what is the best time to take valtrex if on suppressive therapy 500mg X1 day?

I will start tx soon and would like some input as to the best time to take meds, injection once a week and oral meds every 8 hours. My five y/o grand daughter, and her mom (full time college student) live with me. I was thinking Thurs. or Fri. for injection (would like to attend church Sun) and 6am, 2pm, and 10pm for oral meds.

I have been having really bad heartburn and a burning feeling in my stomach. I was told to take Nexium but I have a severe allergy to penicillin. My question is, can I take nexium if I'm allergic to penicillin?

My doc prescribed me 40mg nexium for the next month to see if it helps with my reflux. He told me to take it with food since the stomach cells need to be active (food activates them) for most benefit. That is in complete contradiction to the label, which says to take it 1hr before eating. I have taken other PPIs and they also suggest the 1hr before eating rule.

Since he has been on the nexium he has gained 20-30lbs and is now feeling bloated and worse than before. I just do not know what to do about this anymore. I do not know what it could be caused from. But my problems is more cramping under my sternum, it becomes in the realm of 7-8 on a 1-10, pain scale. So I see no reason to take it, cramping seems to be different to me than nausea and vomiting, although at times my ribavirin does not want to stay down, this issue is also a relatively new problem. I have tramadol 50 mg for pain and that doesn't touch it.

I've had to tale rolaids and or tums due to heartburn.....I did it with my daughters pregnancy and had no issues with her......pregnant with another girl and I've had to take them to help again.....

Your best bet is to start a change in his diet. No caffine, no alchohol...sugars..spicey foods...leafy letuce. and oils/grease. low sodium or none. Start him on a very basic diet including fruits and vegetables. Vegetables cooked well. Chicken, and low sodium pork. Homemade soups. wholegrain breads. He can eat as much as he likes. just don't over do it. See how this helps him. Usually he can find out what combinations are bothering him.

When is the best time to take Celexa? My dr just started me on 5mg and told me to take it at 8pm. Yes this is fairly common during tx, check with you doctor about giving you either nexium, prevacid, or prilosec. All are safe to take, nexium and prevacid worked best for me. Congrats on being over halfway done. Wishing you the best.

Yes, you can take both your Synthroid and Nexium together in the morning an hour before breakfast. That is the best way to take them both.

I started taking over-the-counter Nexium (esomeprazole magnesium 20mg/capsule) a few days ago and may be taking them for at least the next 2 weeks. My blood magnesium levels were low a few weeks ago and they just got back to normal right before I started taking the Nexium.
