but if its going to help I willtake it...My right leg has alot of nerve damage and deep scar tissue and it bothers me pretty bad...but for some reason they wont prescribe me pain meds that I can just take when Im in pain...they want me to take this one so I have to be on it all the time...I kinda feel like they think Im a drug addict or something and I want to yell at them....its so hard to chase toddlers around when your limping...Im a stay at home mom by the way...

If you use Aleve be careful if you are on Neurontin because is a small amount of cases Aleve will interact with Neurontin and cause a 12 - 15% increase in the absorption of the Neurontin (I know this from first hand experience).

My husband has it in the jaw and ear severely and they put him on Neurontin. It has completely STOPPED ALL OF THE PAIN. I think your mouth is held open for so long and there were tons of injections given to me, including one in the jawbone itself, because I wouldn't numb up. No dental work was performed on my right side, but now ALL OF THE PAIN is on the right. I have never experienced this before and I have several crowns.

I actually slept about 5 hours without waking went back to sleep and slept another three. I took an ibuprofen pm along with the Neurontin. the next tonight I took just the Neurontin. the effect was not as good. so I added the ibuprofen pm. I only slept for two hours before waking up. I did not have the severe hurt that made me go down stairs to my exercise machine. but I did have dry mouth. I have been on it I think now for one week and I'm really feeling discouraged.

Maybe taking a hot shower, muscle rubs, and anti inflammatory like ibuprofen will help for now. Try and get her into a doctor asap and check on the shots or a TENS unit. t think muscle relaxers are addictive, except for Soma, at least in my experience, and can sometimes be helpful with neck and back pain. Ibuprofen or Naproxen is good for inflamation and muscle relaxers for spasms. I am not sure what else you can take or what you are looking for. Any Narcotic is potentially addictive, so if you have had problems with them in the past they would be hard to get off of.

I cannot walk a long time bc of pain. How can this doctor not know played dumb. I am on 600mg of neurontin and 800 mg of ibuprofen but getting worse. I only had an ablation for fluttering and cannot believe this has happened. Has this happened to anyone else. My next doctor that I going to is a Orthopedic doctor. Having no insurance, I have had to wait for over a month, making due with ibuprofen, lidoderm5% patches, and neurontin (the neurontin does not seem to help, despite titration). I now see a neurologist who has me on 4800mgs neurontin a day, 800 mg ibuprofen 3 x day, and a muscle relaxer. None of this seems to help and ibuprofen is the strongest med she will write. She referred me to the best pain clinic in wv, I went yesterday. The dr said he couldn't help me. He wanted to send me to the Cleveland Clinic for a surgery consult for 2 ruptured discs and a fractured vertebrae. Discs are L4 and L5. I asked to be sent to my original surgeon in Charleston.

After detoxification our patients that need surgeries usually get prescribed Ibuprofen , Neurontin and possibly Lidoderm. If hospitalized they have Toradol. We try to keep away from opiates or Tramadol if there was a history of abuse because it will trigger cravings.

Hi I have similar symptoms and have tried ibuprofen with some success. I also got a prescription for Neurontin that seems to give limited relief. Sometimes ice, heat or just resting helps I wish you lots of luck.

I just felt bad but it was manageable I took 2 klonopin 4 ibuprofen and 300mg neurontin and feel asleep and did this through out the day, not feeling nearly as bad as before and just needing lots of rest. I was able to sleep throughout the night, took a a couple baths when I did wake up. I cried the entire day for some reason, and had lots of old memories come into my head. Just very emotional in general. day 4, was able to go on a walk feeling better but still sick feeling.

Tonight I went through my medicine cabinet... And threw out anything that was mine. The old prescriptions for random ailments, the neurontin that's dr gave me for my fibromyalgia, any potentially addictive OTC medicines. All that is left is medicine for my kids and my husband, and my vitamins. It was liberating and scary at the same time. Mainly because the neurontin has been helping me sleep. I want to sleep without it even though it's not an addictive drug.

Take some Ibuprofen and maybe go see a DR and get some Clonadine. It helps. Keep plugging away you can do it. Call NA or AA they will help you. Pray alot and ask for help..

I just finished another round of physical therapy where I met all of my goals so I was discharged, but I my left leg still constantly aches. I have tried Ibuprofen and Naproxen and Flexeril (in case is was spasm related) but they don't seem to work. If only I had a live-in massage therapist. The pain runs up the ourside of my leg. I am a pain physician and I have a mild neuropathy from a nerve injury. Neurontin and Lyrica both work at the same a2 delta subunit of the calcium channel which is important in pain transmission in nerve pain. The difference is that Neurontin has a lower binding affinity for this A2 delta subunit than does Lyrica. It has higher binding at lower doses and its binding percentage decreases at lower doses (but you still are delivered more milligrams of this medication as the dose increases).

Endodontist said nothing is wrong with my teeth and he thinks trigeminal nerve is involved in some capacity and should probably see neurologist. Saw PCP and was put on Neurontin again and as of today the pain is much reduced. Then there is a huge list of meds that are similar (originally seizure meds) that can be tried but there is less experience and testing behind them for neuropathic pain. Hi I have a massive period ache , therefore I took 1100 mg of ibuprofen . At first I had taken 500 mg tablet but it's been an hour and a half and it did not help , so I took an other tablet of ibuprofen of 600 mg . The pain is gone but I feel very tired , can I be harmed or die out of it ? Should I ask for help ? Or has anybody been familiar with it ? whenever i take even one 550mg (naproxen) ibuprofen and then drink, my stomach gets tender and bloated and i feel bad. i usually take a maalox or something like that, yet i never throw up from it so i don't know if that's applicable for you. i think it is due to the ibuprofen, but if you're not used to eating spicy foods then it could have disagreed with you, not necessarily meaning food poisoning. you should never drink and take NSAIDs at the same time.

Ibuprofen is bad for our livers. Try getting a massage if you can. Bromelian, a natural supplement made from pineapples helps reduce swelling but it takes time to work. Also, make sure you're drinking lots of water, and getting some exercise. Try some yoga too. Pot brownies worked the best for my back pain.

I have a infected broke off wisdom tooth during my last pregnancy my face swelled up and I was out of Tylenol so I took a 800 mg ibuprofen. Bad call for me but I was in pain and it was only once and everything turned out fine with baby so I was lucky.
