Also I've been taking it since early second trimester and im now due in less than two weeks and still take it when I need it

I had my gallbladder removed and take antacids all the time, I would also like to know about this.

Do you ever take antacids besides these 2 occasions when you got diarrhea? Because antacids can cause diarrhea and if you are having loose stools and you are asleep, it can leak.

I get headachs on an off and some are fairly nasty but I only use Naproxen and Ibuprophen because I am sensitive to other stronger drugs. I do have an accupuncturist that has given me several hints for my headachs that work well and I can do them on my own and if I get one that is just too awful then I may go in for a treatment. I wish I could get something to make them just quit but for now I guess I just do what I can.

My psychiatrist is thinking about it for my anxiety, since nothing is working since a terrible and weird and untreated Paxil withdrawal four years ago. And to the poster, she says it's okay to take with klonopin, if that's any help, since I'm on klonopin and asked her about that.

I'm at my wits end and today's only the second day!! For the last...oh heck, I don't know....year, 2 years? I don't really know, but anyway....for the last long time, I've been having this burning sensation on the top of my foot. It comes on suddenly, doesn't last long (several seconds), I apply pressure (confuse the nerves theory) and it goes away.

My doc seemed amazed that the stomach could affect the heart and didnt seem to believe the specialist. Am dazed and confused and sick of worrying about my heart. I also once had a dream in which on three different occasions my heart was torn from my body. On one instance I was a Mayan sacrifice and the other I remember took place during the second world war. I was a doctor and had been caugh and my heart cut out. I cant remember the third.

I am taking a strong dosage of neurontin and I have the same effects as described. I can sit for up to 5-7 minutes before a flow begins. Not sure if it is the neurontin or a pain medication. I have nerve damage and need both medications.

Yes I became parinoid and and anxious I got off it immediatley and switched to kolonipin which works well for me

I keep reading about how certain antacids can cause your blood pressure to go up. I have GERD and am experiencing esophagitis again, and I would like to be able to take something for it. Is Zantac75 okay to take with a beta-blocker? And will it increase my blood pressure? I can't seem to find good information anywhere on the internet or even from my endocrinologist. Please help!

That is what I call Tweeks, you get tweeked and more pain for about three days to a week. I was on Neurontin and actually have myofascial pain but they thought it may have been a nerve at first. The neurontin didn't do a thing for me. I was on 1200mg/day and it took me two months to get off of it because I got insomnia and had to take benedryl to get off of it and be able to sleep. It is low on side effects except feeling tired and dumb.

I'm taking the generic form, just recently resumed but have used it in the past. Neurontin is Rx-ed for nerve pain as an "off label" use, that it, treating nerve pain is not the function for which it was designed so it's not listed as a use on the manufacturer's label. It is actually an anti-seizure med, but it was found to also reduce neuropathy in patients. It is my understanding that Lyrica works much in the same way, and is a newer medication by the same company.

The problem many people have with Neurontin and meds like it is they start at two high a dose and increase too fast. That maximizes the sides effects and they stop it, when it might have worked wonders. Then it goes on their *bleep* list. Neurontin is not used for sleep unless the problem with sleep is with neuroapthic pain or paresthesias. We had a pain management doc visit us a while back and he wrote a couple Health Pages for us. Hello I have a question about neurontin. I recently stopped taking tramadol after 13 years. I had a very difficult time doing so. I stopped Dec 6. My doctor put me on neurontin but I think I am now having withdrawal symptoms from neurontin. I have been taking about 900 mg a day since September. It gives me a lot of side effects such as drowsiness and the inability to think quickly.

I have been on Neurontin (Gabapentin) for 7 years and recently the pressure in my eyes is high and it's possible the drug has caused this. My pupils react slowly to changes in light and my left one is always bigger than the right. I have extremely bad neuropathic pain all over my body and I have tried many other drugs but none work that well and I am not sure what happens next.

I was given some sample bottles to try, but after reading the possible side effects and the possible effects from stopping its use, I decided to try some other ways of dealing with my neuropathy.

but if its going to help I willtake it...My right leg has alot of nerve damage and deep scar tissue and it bothers me pretty bad...but for some reason they wont prescribe me pain meds that I can just take when Im in pain...they want me to take this one so I have to be on it all the time...I kinda feel like they think Im a drug addict or something and I want to yell at them....its so hard to chase toddlers around when your limping...Im a stay at home mom by the way...

This is all so interesting and I thank you for sharing. I take Neurontin ONLY at night bc it helps me sleep but I otherwise hate the way the drug makes me feel. It surprises me that it is abused, but that would explain why lyrica is controlled-it must have some abuse potential. The kicker on this all is that I don't have an addictive personality. I allowed myself to become addicted this time, but I'm in my late 40's. If I ever get out of this mess,I'm not going back.

I nedd to let you know taht there are NO Doctors on this Forum ONLY CP (Chronic Pain) Patients that help each other with their own expertise and experience that they have gained from their own Pain issues. I'm sorry that you aren't getting any relief from your Neurontin.

Do you feel that this is related to stopping Neurontin ??? Also, are Neurontin and Lyrica the same drug? I have been hearing this, but have not found anything to support this in my google search. Do you have any opinions about the use of Neurontin for opiate withdrawal? Nauty..........

I have many issues with my back including 5 surgerys and I have also taken Neurontin. It has not been effective in my teatment for pain but it has been effctive for my nerve issues. Good luck with everything.....

I stopped taking it suddenly after my detox because of the same issues you are having and never had a problem - and my dose was twice yours and I was taking for a much longer period. You should not have a problem.
