I will be on pegasys and ribapak I have medical ins but not much help with drug coverage do u all know the price of these meds or any place that can help with financial help. Does the meds make u real sick at first or all throuigh the time u take them . I been told it is 24 weeks treatment .
If you make lower then your cities standard income for families you can do to your local family services and sign up for temporary assistance for needy families. (Tanf) you can also apply for food stamps and child care costs if your wanting to find a job they provide child care as well at least that's how it is in mo. Good luck hope u figure something out!
The meds and blood testing are very expensive, upwards of $90,000. Do you have insurance? If you don't you can get financial assistance from the drug manufacturer. And some laboratories will provide discounted blood testing if you fall under a certain income group.

My doctor has given me options for medications for MS. These are expensive since they are considered specialty drugs. Tecfidera seems to be my safest choice for now, but I was told my insurance would only cover 50% and my payment would be about $3600. I don't have that kind of money to spend every month. I'm on unemployment. I know some of the drug companies have financial assistance....has anyone had experience with the financial assistance they provide?
They sent me a form to fill out. Once they received my form I was approved for their financial assistance program, which covers all costs for 1 year. After 1 year, I believe I need to reapply. I have a friend who is also on Gilenya and the Gilenya Go Progam is providing her with the same financial assistance that I have been offered.
Try contacting the Gilenea Go Program about financial assistance. The seem to be very accommodating!
