Avatar n tn The social services department of most hospitals can provide lists of assistance programs. I am only familiar with the drug assistance programs for those needing to treat for hepc. I wish I had more to share with you and hope some help becomes available for him soon. Best of luck.
764075 tn?1234495599 Are there assistance programs out there to assist with cost of Neupogen if my Dx prescribes. I am on a basic health program and co-pay 50% for all meds.
5987625 tn?1377887866 Does anyone know about any financial assistance programs? I'm in Arizona. My neurologist wants me to take Tecfidera and just found out that I'm not eligible to get the $10 copay because I'm on MEDICARE. Been on SS disability since 1992 and have take four of the injectables for MS. Had to stop all of them because of side effects.

1622229 tn?1299050798 I wanted to share some encouraging news for people who have Chronic Hep B and have financial difficulty affording Baraclude. I contacted Brystol Myers Squibb and applied for the Patient Assistance Program. The website and application is here: http://www.bms.com/products/Pages/programs.aspx It took about a week and they have approved me to receive the medication and are shipping it to my home.
Avatar f tn If you make lower then your cities standard income for families you can do to your local family services and sign up for temporary assistance for needy families. (Tanf) you can also apply for food stamps and child care costs if your wanting to find a job they provide child care as well at least that's how it is in mo. Good luck hope u figure something out!
Avatar m tn The meds and blood testing are very expensive, upwards of $90,000. Do you have insurance? If you don't you can get financial assistance from the drug manufacturer. And some laboratories will provide discounted blood testing if you fall under a certain income group.
Avatar m tn Hi there, there is a lot of financial assistance available, here is one place, also if you look up Harvoni you can find their site. They not only provide financial assistance but can help you in other ways. i.e. helping find a doctor etc. Here is one place for financial assistance, there are others. http://www.panfoundation.
1658980 tn?1330711550 My doctor feels that although my ANC went from 670 to 840 between Monday and Friday, that we need to be prepared for Neupogen in the event that it drops again. The insurance company has denied coverage for this because HCV treatment is not on their inclusion list for medical conditions approved for neupogen usage. WTF? I know that a lot of members have had issues with their insurance companies but was wondering if anyone ran across this situation and if so, how they dealt with it.
Avatar f tn Go get on assistance like food stamps, Medicaid and wic. They may even pay you money because of your situation.
Avatar f tn Check the MSAA financial assistance website as well. They have an MRI assistance program that will help folks in the diagnostic process under certain circumstances.
Avatar n tn Yes, probably. The manufacturers of HCV meds provide Patient Assistance Programs that you might qualify for if you live in the U.S. I've personally used one, and it helped immensely.
Avatar f tn It can be substantially more if drugs like Procrit and/or Neupogen are required to maintain red and white cell counts; about 25-30% of patients require some form of rescue drug like that. Good luck with your appointment; do you know what genotype you have yet? This will help determine the efficacy and duration of treatment. Have you had a biopsy yet, or do you know if one is required?
Avatar m tn Here's a link to help check for prescription med assistance: http://www.pparx.
Avatar n tn Insurance will not cover him as they say it is a pre-existing condition. Where does he get financial aid so he can get medical help with a psychiatrist and councillor.?
1713150 tn?1314467342 They have a program that offers the best assistance for those in financial need. There are two kinds of assistance programs...one there is no need for any financial forms to be filled out. They make sure to keep your cost at thirty or forty dollars (I don't remember the exact amount) per month. The other requires you to fill out financial forms...If you are in need you will be approved and they move quickly. I wish you the best.
Avatar f tn My doctor has given me options for medications for MS. These are expensive since they are considered specialty drugs. Tecfidera seems to be my safest choice for now, but I was told my insurance would only cover 50% and my payment would be about $3600. I don't have that kind of money to spend every month. I'm on unemployment. I know some of the drug companies have financial assistance....has anyone had experience with the financial assistance they provide?

Avatar f tn They sent me a form to fill out. Once they received my form I was approved for their financial assistance program, which covers all costs for 1 year. After 1 year, I believe I need to reapply. I have a friend who is also on Gilenya and the Gilenya Go Progam is providing her with the same financial assistance that I have been offered. Try contacting the Gilenea Go Program about financial assistance. The seem to be very accommodating! I hope it all works out for you.
