Avatar n tn ME TOO.. I am 25 year old female... and I don't want to stop running, I've been having pain like this for years. I had to stop running because if I run my stomach hurts for the entire day and sometimes it lasts two days... It just keeps getting worse...
Avatar f tn I have been having pretty uncomfortable pain in my jaw and neck after running coupled with coughing and scratchy throat. I plan to go to the doctor to see if I have exercise induced asthma. I hope you went to the doctor. Those are some very serious side effects you are having!
Avatar n tn Any workout should be started with a slow warm-up for four to five minutes, followed a very gradual increase in speed. While running, one should take deep breaths. If pain actually starts, stretching, massaging, taking deep breaths may be tried. Ref: http://sportsmedicine.about.com/cs/injuries/a/aa053100a.htm http://www.rice.edu/~jenky/sports/abd.pain.

Avatar n tn Hi, I had this same pain. The dr explained to me that you have two nerves running from your neck, above your ear towards your forehead. These are on both side of the head above both ears. He suggested that periodically throughout the day I adjust my chair while im on the computer so my head isnt "stuck" in the same position. It has really helped me, in fact I forgot all about that pain until I read your post... I thought it was a worm to be honest... I've heard of those.
Avatar m tn I have been getting a pain in my upper right abdominal area while running. The pain occurs about 15-20 minutes into my run (like clockwork). It is sort of a cramp-like pain underneath my ribcage on the right side. I have had pain in this area for many years while running off and on. (I thought it was side stitches) The problem is that it is getting worse and I can't make it go away anymore.
Avatar f tn I was wondering if you have found out anything about your pelvic pain while running. My daughter is 17 and has started feeling this same pain. She runs cross-country, plays basketball and runs track. Never had any problems until the last few weeks. The pain is so severe, it brings her to her knees. We have spoke with her doctor and he is not sure what the problem is. Just wondering if anyone might have an idea. Thanks.
Avatar m tn s s dull persistent pain. On top of that occasionally when I begin running I get a pain with each step starting in both buttocks and resonates down my legs. It calms down somewhat during my 3-mile run. Recently I've had another problem which I think is somehow related. When I start my run most days, my front thighs hurt almost to the point of not being functional. I have to gut through it for about a quarter mile at which point, though they still hurt, there is some relief.
Avatar f tn I have recently noticed left arm pain when my heart rate rises while running. I'm 53 yo female in fairly good shape. I have a stressful job but I run 2-3 miles 4-5 times a week. Last week, I ran everyday for 7 days. The pain goes away when I slow down for a minute or two. No chest pain. History of cerebral aneurism in 2008. Treated with a stent. No history of high blood pressure that could have caused it.
Avatar m tn Hi khoatic, I promise not to freak you out. After reading your comments, I'm more inclined to think this neck pain is a combination of your running around and lifting things at work between 20 -25 hours and sitting at your computer for endless hours. You say you spend an average of about 40 hours a week " doing it". By doing it, do you mean sitting typing on the computer.
615627 tn?1221056195 2 years ago while pregnant with my son i started getting lower back pain, over the years it seems to be getting worse and i have a lump that appears at the bottom of my spine the pain is now running down into my hips and legs, recently i have been getting pains in my neck and have noticed a lump starting there also is this any reason to be concerned or should i plod along as normal?
Avatar n tn Six months ago, I strained my muscle between my neck and shoulder, after running. Sometimes, the pain started at the base of the skull and at times my shoulder. I went to the doctor and took a xray that did not show a dislocated or herinated disc. I went on vacation and did not run but swim. I was free of pain. I have started back to running and thepain is back. What could be wrong?
Avatar f tn A few months ago I started experiencing sharp side pain, sometime a spasm underneath my right ribs while running. I've been a jogger/runner my whole life and this is a new development for me. (female- late 20s) At first I decided to take it easy and run less, but after a few weeks I wanted to get back into running more frequently. I was able to push through some of the pain with hydration, stretching and breathing techniques.
Avatar n tn I am assuming that it is caused from inflammation again, but do you think my thyroid levels are off again and that is causing the pain in my neck. Is there something other than TSH that the Endo should be testing also? Thanks for your help.
Avatar f tn Especially a Burning/ cold/ pain going down UNDER my arms. Besides the obvious lower part of my back My neck especially a spot on the left of my neck that hurts/ has a strong ***** and a place in the middle/lower part of my back that zaps me with pain if I lean my torso out or in and at times it's hard to breathe. My hands have spazzed out on me, it starts with my thumb and my whole hand gets numbish & tingly and my hand jerks in like I've stuck my finger in a light socket.
1852919 tn?1319509529 in my neck was going mad and jumping through my skin. Every since then, I have had swelling and pain in my neck along the right side, from my haw to my clavicle, once it gets to my clavicle, there is a pain that feels like a needle pressing through. Also, I have freguent dizzy spells, and one day (that I know of) blacked out while driving down the road, my scalp got real tight and was tingling as I "came around". And I occasionally have little black floaters in my eye sight.
Avatar m tn I am 18 years old and for the past couple years now I have been experiencing severe pain while running. The pain is in the upper left portion of my chest, exactly where my heart is. It feels like there is a muscle that is being constricted when I exercise. The pain slowly builds when I start running, and slowly decreases when I stop or walk.
1806721 tn?1554333407 m already feeling dizziness, palcipations, body aches from the fever. Is it safe to take Ambien while running a fever? Thank you for your answer.
Avatar m tn Six months ago I contracted HSV2 and now have groin and neck pain but also numbness in my left leg. The in pain in my neck is debilitating and never goes away but does change in its degree. Sometimes I can't turn my head at all or touch my shoulders. Do you have any recommendations. Started taking a B-vitamin complex about a week ago. Hoping that will help because IB profin, tylenol nor aspirin helps. Should I see a neurologist or an infectious disease doctor?
Avatar n tn Whilst out running I fell down a steep slope tumbling head over heels and hitting my neck & lower back on rocks and knocking myself out for approximately 30 seconds, I went to doctors who told me its just bruised and there's nothing wrong. they did not look at my back or neck. I have shooting pains and feelings of water being poured down my legs, any pressure on the back of my neck gives me horrendous headache and my vision goes blurry. I am worried as this has been a week and half now.
