Avatar f tn Diltiazem can even make sinus tachycardia worse because it lowers blood pressure and can cause reflex tachycardia.
Avatar f tn My mother currently taking nebivolol 5mg in morning and amlodipine/perindopril 5/8mg in evening for hypertension. Her blood pressure has recently been improved and taking both pills cause low blood pressure, she is also suffering from cough as a side effect from perindopril. I am considering to shift her to nebivolol only but 5 mg once a day is not controlling the blood pressure well. My question is can nebivolol be taken twice a day in 2.
Avatar m tn 2,5 months ago I started taking Lodoz 2,5 mg (bisoprolol with diuretic), blood persure before taking medicine was approximately 160/100. The medicine was prescribed in the same dose by general practice doctor 2,5 months ago . In the meantime I did ultrasound of the heart and the result seems to be OK. as wel as EKG.
899454 tn?1295583938 I took from may 2009 till august 2009 Bystolic (Nebivolol) 2.5 mg. After coping with all the side effects I was feeling allright. In september 2009 I switched to another beta blocker Bisoprolol (Concor) 2.5 mg. After taking it for two weeks I started experiencing a tingling sensation in my fingers, chest pressure and muscles pain. In the third week, one day after having lunch I went back to work.
Avatar f tn ) sinus tachycardia for 2 1/2 years following a virus and viral thyroiditis, currently treated with bisoprolol (90-100 bpm resting, was 140+ resting prior to BB). Bisoprolol is a Class C pregnancy drug - my GP has advised moving to a Class B drug and my cardio previously broached the subject of ablation. If I wanted to get pregnant - is ablation worth thinking about in order to get off the beta blockers for the duration of the pregnancy?
Avatar m tn After my second ever episode of fast atrial fibrillation, resolved through electric shock, my cardiologist prescribed 100mg flecaine and 2.5mg nebivolol to be taken every day. This as a preventive measure. I have read on the medicine info notice that these two medicines should not be taken together. My cardiologist states that they are routinely prescribed together by cardiologists these days. I have never taken any heart drug, and feel a bit concerned. Can anyone shed some light on this?
Avatar m tn My cardiologist subbed 5 mg Nebivolol for the Amlodipine due to what he described as exercise-related hypertension. I took this medication for a week and experienced a range of unpleasant side effects, including exhaustion, significant depression and reduced heart rate (mid-60s, compared with my normal mid-80s). I've been off the Nebivolol for five days, but I'm still experiencing these side effects. My heart rate has only come back to about 67-68.
Avatar m tn I have been prescribed Bisoprolol Fumarate 1.25mg because my heart beats go up every so often, the last time was 19th March when they went to 160bpm. The side effects are terrible I have felt really depressed, hardly any energy, sick and my eyes have been very sore. Is there a Beta Blocker without all these side effects.
Avatar f tn Can anyone help with advice on Bisoprolol 1.25mg. My Father has been taking this for just over 12 months due to a heart attack & having 2 stents. He was started on in Nov 2010 but since June 2011 has been having problems coldness & numbness in his fingers & toes which is now getting to the extent he can hardly feel them. He has been under a doctor at the hospital ?vascular, who has carried out numerous tests ie. CT scan, nerve ending test, to name a few & all are clear.
351404 tn?1299489130 I have been put on Warfarin treatment and my Atenolol has been changed for Bisoprolol. I do have some more tests scheduled as I have some right heart dilatation. My changed regime has been for a week now. However, the bisoprolol is making me feel so fatigued and depressed and my eyes want to shut all the time. As it is such early days, is there an alternative to this drug and should I present myself demanding an alternative, or is this my lot from now on?
Avatar m tn The Doc also changed my med from Metoprolol Succinate ER 25mg to Bisoprolol 5mg once daily in addition to Losartan 25 in the morning. I am too scared to take the new med as I read 5 mg is equivalent to Metoprolol 100mg. I am scared to take in the night due to the fear of hypotension and low pulse rate. But the doc assured that nothing would happen but I am too scared to take an initial dose of 5mg Bisoprolol straightaway....
Avatar m tn ve been trying to ween off the bisoprolol and was doing so successfully. I got down to about .75mg of bisoprolol and was doing great. I was exercising, and my heart was responding great. My blood pressure was 110/70 and I was having few pvc's etc. Well my dad recently required surgery and the stress got to me and I had a pretty big panic attack. Because of this I went back to my 1.25 mg of bisoprolol.
Avatar n tn I was just wondering if there can be drug interactions between the Ativan and Bisoprolol? I have quite low blood pressure and heart rate, and wouldn't want them going much lower... Thanks so much for any information...
Avatar f tn Hi i read your post and yes...........bisoprolol is a beta blocker that relaxes the heart and pretty much blocks the adrenaline that runs thru it which cases a fast or irregular heart beat. It is also great for your blood pressure. I wouldn't be doubting the doc if i were you....i would listen to them if you trust them to know what they are doing...i would give it a shot Yvonne......with everything that you have gone thru this may be the answer for you...
Avatar m tn My doctor just recommend a new med called nebivolol (bystolic) to me thst im pretty hesitant to try as propranolol does help Most out of what ive tried. The nebivolol bystolic didnt get the besr reviews from what ive seen. thats just my experiences and what things have worked and not worked for me on an individual basis. I feel some of my pvcs are caused by anxiety, some by exercise or increase in working out and some by large meals.
Avatar n tn ConcorCor (Bisoprolol) 2.5mg (coated), Simvastatin 20mg, and Aspirin 75mg (coated). Since the attack I quit smoking and have been taking these drugs, but have been unwell almost everyday, suffering heartburn or chest contractions or some other stomach or chest pains or depression. As the months pass by I began to suspect and now believe that these problems are side effects of the drugs.
Avatar n tn What symptoms can be experienced when using Cardicor/Bisoprolol 2.5mg tablets? My mum's feeling dizzy and unwell - symptoms she didn't have before starting these tablets.
Avatar f tn Hi, I have been on a very low dose of bisoprolol.1.25mg for about 8 months now, but recently my palpitations have gotten worse, and my GP has increased my dose to 2.5mg. I have been to specialist, and although I do have an irregular heart beat, he said my heart was fine, that was several months ago. I am trying the new dose, hoping it helps, because the episodes are getting worse, when out walking, or really any activity, just going into the kitchen, will trigger the palpitations.
705966 tn?1239408751 Anyway, the offshoot is that you might be better off switching to nebivolol, which is a vasodilating beta blocker. A researcher named Cockroft is doing a lot of work in that area.
Avatar m tn Im 17 and doctors say i have hypertension, which i start to panic when someone checks my bp with heart rate monitor. I am currently drinking nebivolol and i want to know if this medicine will stunt growth?
Avatar f tn Hi, All beta blockers are known to result in some degree of erectile dysfunction in males & decreased libido in females. However, nebivolol is one beta blocker which has got vasodilatory properties & hence can be one of the alternatives of carvedilol. However, you can continue taking lisinopril. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
