Nebivolol and anxiety

Common Questions and Answers about Nebivolol and anxiety

bystolic

Avatar f tn My mother currently taking nebivolol 5mg in morning and amlodipine/perindopril 5/8mg in evening for hypertension. Her blood pressure has recently been improved and taking both pills cause low blood pressure, she is also suffering from cough as a side effect from perindopril. I am considering to shift her to nebivolol only but 5 mg once a day is not controlling the blood pressure well. My question is can nebivolol be taken twice a day in 2.
899454 tn?1295583938 Medicines I take are Nebivolol (Bystolic) 5 mg daily and 4.5 mg Bromazepam 3 mg in the morning and 1.5 mg before bedtime. I remember in 2009 when I got those ectopics here and there I was so worried! I started taking magnesium, watching my diet and I made it till now with the ectopics here and there. On the anxiety front I wasn't doing so bad either. My last panic attack was in November 2014 while I was on vacation.
Avatar f tn Palpitations, it is my understanding, are pretty normal for everyone and happen often due to anxiety. You are being treated for anxiety. So, it could be because of the anxiety and not the buspar. How ARE your anxiety symptoms, by the way. We aren't seeing a huge impact for my son. However, it COULD be the buspar. This article suggests that buspar can raise blood pressure through activation of the sympathetic nervous system. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.
Avatar f tn I am taking nebivolol 5 mg for my high blood preasure and using viagra didnt had any side effect(serious) or interaction with nebivolol but im afraid.I get sometimes uppset stomach thats all.But i dont want to use viagra. Is there anything for PE?And not harmfull?Sometimes i thing that nebivolol has worsen my PE but i wasnt very good at it even before nebivolol. And what about DuraMale?Has anyone tried it before? Its a herbal drug for pe.
Avatar m tn Thus, nebivolol is, with regard to hemodynamic and metabolic properties, similar to carvedilol, although the two act slightly differently — carvedilol is a non-cardioselective beta 1, beta 2, and alpha-receptor blocker, whereas nebivolol is highly cardioselective (blocking beta 1 receptors only) and achieving vasodilatory properties by nitric-oxide release, he added." Apparently is was just officially appvoved for use in the United States by the FDA.
Avatar m tn Im 17 and doctors say i have hypertension, which i start to panic when someone checks my bp with heart rate monitor. I am currently drinking nebivolol and i want to know if this medicine will stunt growth?
Avatar f tn I try being on a diet but know i am taking Crestor 20mg for triglicerides, and nebivolol 5mg for my bp. I have had some cases of high heart beat and doctors said its nothing to worry about. I had onew 12 years ago, 1one 8 years ago and one 2 yeears ago. They come and go within 10 minutes. Its something with my electrical paths of my heart but doctors said there is no need to worry for now.My docotr said that high bp is due to my sensitive character, and tryglicerides is gentics.
Avatar n tn I also took Bystolic at the 2 and 1/2 mg level a few days and then quit slowly because my bp was too low on it and I felt dizzy.
Avatar m tn After my second ever episode of fast atrial fibrillation, resolved through electric shock, my cardiologist prescribed 100mg flecaine and 2.5mg nebivolol to be taken every day. This as a preventive measure. I have read on the medicine info notice that these two medicines should not be taken together. My cardiologist states that they are routinely prescribed together by cardiologists these days. I have never taken any heart drug, and feel a bit concerned. Can anyone shed some light on this?
Avatar f tn First question when you suspect anxiety is, are you having anxious thoughts on a chronic basis? You say you get anxious when these symptoms occur, but that's a different kind of anxiety, that's nervousness, and it's normal because you're in a stressful situation trying to figure out what's going on. Anxiety the mental disorder is irrational fears and obsessive anxious thinking. You don't mention having that.
973068 tn?1248495289 It appears that you have had a lot of tests, and since they are normal, your problems could very well be anxiety/stress related. Anxiety can cause all kinds of symptoms and discomfort. I am going to post a link to our anxiety forum, maybe they will be able to help, they are very knowledgeable and reading their posts can be helpful as well. http://www.medhelp.org/forums/Anxiety/show/71 I think I would also get a second opinion, although it appears you have seen many doctors already.
Avatar m tn My BP was well-controlled on 100 mg Losartin and 7.5 mg Amlodipine, averaging around 125/68. At peak exertion, during a treadmill stress test recently, my systolic BP reached 215. My cardiologist subbed 5 mg Nebivolol for the Amlodipine due to what he described as exercise-related hypertension. I took this medication for a week and experienced a range of unpleasant side effects, including exhaustion, significant depression and reduced heart rate (mid-60s, compared with my normal mid-80s).
705966 tn?1239408751 The main reason is that they tend to increase Blood Glucose, and might provoke diabetes. Nebivolol does not increase BG, btw. But carvedilol does. Nebivolol though is quite expensive, and might not be on a formulary. Atenolol is inexpensive. There is also a new drug called ivabradine that gives pure control of heart rate without being a beta blocker. You also might think about changing the timing of your medication.
Avatar f tn I got sick a few years ago and it wekened my heart. I take Coreg(Carvedilol) and Lisinopril. I still want children very badly and was told that basically, there were meds that I can take instead of Lisinopril, but I would have to stop taking Coreg. Of course, I would just have to see how I would do without Coreg... Are there any alternatives to Coreg?
Avatar f tn My cardiologist said i could try a new beta blocker called nebivolol(bystolic) however reviews online were not too good and in fact some said caused additional symptoms that never went and away so i havr not yet tried the nebivolol. The propranolol does seem to work for me for thr most part but gets no wherr near curing them or allowing me to work out. If i go through a normal day i feel maybe only 2-4 pvcs unless i eat a big meal or unhealthy food then it will be much more..
Avatar m tn Just to put your mind at rest - I get frequent PVCs at times and last year went to A and E (ER) with bigeminy,ie. every other beat is a pvc. I had it for a few hours. The cardiologist was not at all concerned, said I could go home, and did not need to go back if it happened again. Even thousands of PVCs a day seem to be considered benign if you have had your heart checked out. Your heart beats 100,000 times a day, so most people will have PVCs at some point.
Avatar n tn I had a MI last October 2012. Since than I am on medication and there are no major problems. Only problem is I get tired easily and at times feel there in no strength in the body. Recently I have undergone 2-D Echocardiography. The impression of the report is as under: 1. Bi-Ventricular Systolic Function Adequate. 2. No Diastolic Dysfunction. 3. Inferior Wall Hypokinesia noted at Rest. 4. LVEF= 61% What does this suggest ? Is there anything to worry about? What further test required?
Avatar m tn I have always had very mild anxiety, but the PVCs have really made my anxiety soar and now I am having panic attacks. For me, the anxiety has been reduced by maintaining my blood sugar (eating regularly), and taking some vitamin supplements (magnesium, Fish Oil with Black Currant Oil, and a regular multi). I have also found that drinking OJ or taking a vitamin C when I start feeling PVC's helps. I have had an echo, blood work, and a holter. Everything is normal minus PVCs.
899454 tn?1295583938 In may 2009 I was diagnosed with mild mitral valve prolapse with mild regurgitation. Before I was diagnosed I suffered from tachycardia and sometimes PVC’s (once a month). My resting heart rate was around 80/90 bpm and when I was anxious above 120. The cardiologist put me on Bystolic (nebivolol) 2.5 mg a day. The med lowered my blood pressure (120/75) and lowered my heart rate (50+ bpm). I am in a way very pleased with the med. I another way I am now more aware of my PVC’s.
Avatar f tn Its the second day i am using nebivolol and my BP is really normal and constant 120/80.I doesnt change through the day.But my heart rate has decreased from 90-98 to 63-70 bpm.Is it ok?I feel fine may be a little not energitised. Is it ok if i take 5 mg *(half the dosage) until i meet my doctor on twensday?
Avatar f tn Following first VT attack in 2003, was hospitalized and all tests fine. vT was sustained and converted to Normal sinus after cardio version in UK. Went for catherter ablation but doctor in uk failed to induce arrythmia so no ablation could be done. Was put on atenolol for a while but kept getting PVCs over and again. 4 other sustained VT attacks followed in the next 5 years. All the time it would convert back to sinus normal after heart beating for over an hour at 240bpm.
715004 tn?1309077280 I started getting chest pains a few months ago when I was under bit of stress. I had an upper GI series and it was negative for GERD. I was given nitroglycerin to see if that would help the chest pains. It did. Now, I was just put on a beta blocker, nebivolol (or something like that) for a rapid heart rate, and a high BP reading at the time. My BP is usually fine. I had an echocardiogram and everything was fine. Here's the confusion...
Avatar f tn Hello, I was recently in hospital for initiation of new drugs for my inappropriate sinus tachycardia. The drugs (Ivabradine and Nebivolol) were successful while I was in hospital but since coming home I've been having complications.
