Avatar f tn So could this be the side effects of Nasonex after a month later and I still need to wait a bit longer or is this something I should continue to look into? It's really affecting my life.
548980 tn?1214822412 I spoke to my family physician after doing some of my own reading and determined that the Nasonex which is a corticosteroid may be causing side effects of anxiety and low mood. I immediately went off the Nasonex and saw a quick improvement in the level of my anxiety, however have still not felt quite myself since. I found many reviews online of others having similar scary side effects after using ?Nasonex.
531684 tn?1216745984 t even get to the end of the complaints on the internet about nose bleeds from nasonex! Well, my nose bleeds started with nasonex, the first time around was in the '90's, and no one seemed to know then that the nose bleeds were a side effect, although I kept having them and realized then that they occurred after using nasonex. Later, around 2007, I was told by a doctor, that it wouldn't be a bad idea to try it again, that it was actually a good drug.
Avatar n tn Common side effects of Nasonex are fatigue, headaches, a lowered immune system (not good) and others too. A few people I know who have used this for a year or more mentioned that they got palpitations, and one friend said his PVCs increased. But one can't be sure whether the PVCs increased because of the Nasonex. I already have quite a few PVCs a day and don't need more. I'm hoping some of you have tried Nasonex (or Flonase, which is similar).
Avatar n tn He started out on 25 mg with no side effects. Two weeks after he increased to 50 mg he began a headache - meaning it has not stopped. Here we are, going on week three of a headache. However, my son has been on other medications for sinisitis and bronchitis that could account for a headache. He now off of pulmicort, xopenex and nasonex. He is currently going through allergy testing as well. It is very difficult for me to try to determine the cause of the headache with so much going on with him.
Avatar n tn Hello, I have been taking Nasonex for 5 months now and starting 10 days ago, I started experiencing weird sensation in the left area of my chest, it would only happen 3 to 6 times a day and it would feel like someone just tapped the someone of my chest with a finger or two, after 3 or 4 days experiencing this, I just completly stopped using Nasonex and have been off Nasonex for 5 days and 11 hours now.
Avatar f tn d a short term course of of an anti-anxiety med, like Xanax or Ativan, to help with the side effects. That may make a world of difference for you. Definitely don't just stop taking the Lexapro without first discussing all of this with your doctor. You both may decide that the side effects are just too much, or your starting dose may have been a little on the high side. A typical starting dose would be 10mg, for some people sensitive to meds, they can even start out at 5mg.
Avatar f tn Benzos like this can cause withdrawals when they are stopped suddenly. How often do you take it on an 'as needed' basis? Have you talked with your prescribing doctor about potential side effects? The good thing is you got checked out and you are ok medically. When I came off of certain benzos I had to come off of them very slowly to reduce side effects. Also, could you be under some more stress these past couple of months?
Avatar m tn I woke up this morning worried about side effects and felt like my heart was racing and going to beat out of my chest. I took 2 xanax (which I've been taking for years) and feel like I'm calming down, but I'm worried this racing heart is a side effect or if it's just my anxiety of taking the new medication. I want to get my life back but I think I'm afraid even this won't work. Would appreciate any advice or feedback.
Avatar f tn Of late Iam having many side effects because of the prolonged usage of themedicine like restlessness,,slight giddiness anxiety and gabbraut. The medicine is only to supplement the shortage externally.Do you agree Homeopathy treatment will be advisable.Ihighly value your input.
Avatar m tn Hi there! Well, I've been on Effexor for over ten years. Started at a very low dose and I am at 150 mg for a long time now. So, I can't say if I remember all the side effects I had. But I will say that I definitely got sick to my stomach if I didn't eat immediately before taking it. This went away after a week or so as my body adjusted to the medication. I believe that the jitters and anxious feeling is all part of your anxiety.
Avatar f tn But it is more stimulating, so if the increased anxiety continues it might not be the drug for you. Sometimes side effects that occur when you start a drug stop after awhile, sometimes they never do. Since it takes about a month or 6 weeks for most people to have beneficial effects kick in, the side effects start well before the desired ones.
Avatar f tn I think you should stop taking it if you are having all of those side effects, maybe something else would be better. I don't think that having all of those side effects is a good thing at all, it's supposed to help with anxiety not increase it so it's doing the opposite of what it is supposed to do.
Avatar n tn I used both, and found that side effects are similar; tiredness, weight gain, and a slow pulse. Side effects are more pronounced as the dosage is increased. I had dosages from 25mg to 200mg. daily. Other reported effects are loss of libido, tightness in the chest, itching, irregular breathing, and irregular heartbeat. If you have any further questions, I'd be happy to respond based on my experience with the drug.
Avatar f tn m also quitting smoking.) He said that one of the side effects could be suicidal thoughts. I have never had these before in my life. I am scared to death that this medication is going to make me think about things like that. Does this happen to a lot of people? And, does it happen with people who don't usually have these types of thoughts?
Avatar n tn Because If not I might as well just quit now and remain putting up with major anxiety and depression. That side effect will make me depressed if it doesn't go away.
Avatar m tn I was diagnosed with Acute Sinusitis when I was 4 months old. I have tried pretty much everything and Nasonex was the best result I've had. No side affects, no taste, no drowsiness. And yet it's jumped to over $300/bottle. I lost my job due to lung conditions (never smoked) and lost everything I had. Went through bankruptcy and am on Medicaid. They refuse to cover it because it's so expensive.
Avatar f tn do all of these crappy (literally) side effects EVER fade??? ive only been on the combined treatment for a month now....it just seems to b getting worse...the vomitting, crapping, fatigue, body aches, head aches, raw throat and mouth....i just hate to ask my docs for all kinds of meds....just wondering if it gets better closer to the one year marker????
20632981 tn?1503687567 It all depends on the person, unfortunately. My experience won't be yours. Yours won't be mine. There are some generalizations that mean most people, but remember, you're not most people, only you. Prozac is a good one to try because it's one of the easiest to stop taking. No way to say, though, if it will work or not. Side effects differ greatly among different people.
Avatar f tn I know how low these are but I have never been able to tolerate any meds at higher doses without massive side effects. I did do pretty well on Wellbutrin xl and could do 300mg but I can't afford it anymore and the generic doesn't work.
