Did your doctor prescribe it to you for this? If not, STOP right now...'experimenting' with prescription medications, which are extremely addictive can NEVER have good outcomes.

Have you tried off-label Namenda at 25% of the dose given to the typical patients that it is meant for? That drug has significantly helped my migraines. And what about Botox injections? That does not interact with your body systemically. Those have helped me tremendously. If you haven't tried these, I would consider them before taking Phenobarbital, but it's up to your judgment of course.
My neighbors doctor prescribed fluoxetine and namenda before MRI being done.test came back no signs of alzheimers disease. Should she continue to take ? She is 80 years old somewhat forgetful nothing to make you say you can't function she is 80.
my husband just started on Namenda, starter doses, however, while I was at work today, he took 3 of the pills(5mg), should I be concerned? do I just have him continue tomorrow with the correct one pill in the morning? doesn''t seem to have any side effects.
Seroquel (the brand name for the other medication you speak of) is an antipsychotic and from what the prescription label states it should not be used in people who are elderly who have dementia but you could discuss this with a neurologist, in the meantime look up the medication website. Namenda is one of several medications that helped some family members I know who have dementia. It would be best to consult with a neurologist and discuss all this with them.

There has been studies to see if it helped chronic pain and most of them showed it did not. I wanted to try it for myself and she allowed me too. My shrink also thought it was a good idea to try.

Are there any off label drugs which can be useful for herpes? I have read therapy with Tagamet and zinc may have some benefit but I cant find any good information on that to show my doctor. Also what about globulin or interfereon injections ? Are there other immune modulating drugs or treatments that can boost my t-cells against this virus to keep it down?

Grammy, I remember you saying your doc was prescribing off label for all his patients. Do you have any idea what reasons he is giving to insurance....as in key words or arguments he has to support the off label. Hope that makes sense. So tired and it's been a frustrating day.
