Avatar n tn Hello, It can be due to an allergic reaction to the bee sting which can result in cellulitis skin. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar f tn Hi everyone! I've had cellulitis for a many months now. My doctor first put me on Bactrim, and I had a rash all over my body and developed a fungal infenction as well. This was on day 8 of 10 on Bactrim. The doctor switched me to Keflex, and this time, that same day I got another rash all over my body. Then, she gave me a cream call Muciprocin, but i've been using it for over a week and see no improvement, although no rashes. Has this happened to anyone?
Avatar f tn What are the chances that what I have is cellulitis, and are there classic symptoms that constitute cellulitis that I have or do not have? I am open to giving any more details! Thank you for your help; I am new to this community and forum!
Avatar m tn I recent went to the doctor for 3, what looked like infected hairs on my penis. they look like 3 pimples with white heads each had a hair growing out of them. After the glands in my groin began to swell i went to the doctor he decided that i had cellulitis and these were infected hairs and perscribed antibiotcs. After taking the antibiots and 2 shots i had gotten better after about a week or so.
4251679 tn?1370305531 My poor niece just had surgery on a hernia(spelling?) on the inside of her leg 8 days ago. Yesterday my sister noticed a big bruise on her lady parts and major swelling had started to form right by the incision. The doctors aren't sure what it is or what caused it, they're thinking its cellulitis but for it to be cellulitis there has to be an abscess which hasn't formed. Prayers that these damn drs can figure out what the issue is and fix it!
Avatar n tn I'm so sorry to hear about your husband's Cellulitis. So you know, this is the adult Diabetes II forum. Your post really belongs in the Dermatology forum since Cellulitis is a skin related disease more so than Diabetes glucose/insulin related. Is your husband hospitalized? To my understanding Cellulitis treatment may require hospitalization if it is severe enough to warrant intravenous antibiotics and close observation by doctors. Body and/or muscle aches are part of the symptoms.
Avatar m tn I have had fibromyalgia for over 10 years now, and I have had cellulitis for about 6 yrs. I must be on antibiotics as well as steroid creams, and it comes & goes. However the last bout I had lasted 9 months. My doctor did not say if this was caused by the fibromyalgia, but he did say it was caused by an infection.
Avatar n tn If you have cellulitis in your foot how long should you stay off your feet for?

Avatar f tn What is it?
Avatar n tn As far as I have heard, "puppy strangles" or Juvenile Cellulitis, only occurs in puppies, and is rare in adult dogs. It is curable and a puppy can recover well with no long term ill effects. You could "google" this and there is lots of information out there about it. There's some good info on this page: http://www.bestinshowdaily.com/juvenile-cellulitis-aka-puppy-strangles-is-not-as-bad-as-it-sounds/ You could also maybe discuss this with a vet.
Avatar f tn Thanks for your reply. She's going back to the Dr. today, for an MRI.
Avatar m tn How long does it take for an infection to turn I to cellulitis? And at which point will you be hospitalized for it?
Avatar f tn Is the antibiotic you are on not working for the cellulitis MRSA? Cellulitis takes a while to clear up as it can be deep in the tissues. If the treatment they giving your for your cellulitis is working then if you did have it in the knee it would be working on that too. What antibiotic are they giving you? If it is a topical for the cellulitis you may need oral or even IV. Call the doctor that is taking the other ortho's place and ask to be seen.
Avatar m tn How long would it take for a swollen lymph node to return to normal after a cellulitis infection in the neck? I still feel the area to be a bit swollen and it's been about 6 months since the infection.
Avatar n tn It has been over 3 years since I had cellulitis from injections in my neck and base of skull. I also have experienced chronic fatigue and a general decline in my overall health. At first my whole body swelled up. I was on IV antibiotics then switched to oral for a few months. Any insight would be appreciated.
