I just found out I'm pregnant and I don't have an appointmet with my doctor for two weeks. I had been taking singulair and zyrtec but I stopped until I can clear it with my doctor. Are these medicines safe and if not is there a safe one out there?
As long as the allergic trigger is there you are likely to have symptoms. Therapy with Montelukast is long term, you will have to discuss with your treating doctor for duration of therapy. Regards.
I took Montelukast (Singulair) for about one month and began having extreme nightmares and panic attacks. I stopped the montelukast immediately, and the nightmares stopped. But the panic attacks continue. I know others have had similar reactions, but I wonder if anyone has found out how to make the effects go away? I have been off the medication for over 3 months now.

I had done USG whole abdomen which was completely normal. I take Montelukast LC regularly because i have problem of sneezing too much. and one more thing sometime i felt my butt from anal area i vibrating and tingling quite often.
Please tell me about it, i'm literally confused what to do with it..
could it be cancer ??
Different doctors are giving different theories about his condition. There are some schools for autistic children run by parents who have such children themselves. The medical evaluation can go as far as labeling the child as autistic. A child doesn't even start getting help before he or she turns 3. We are not that affluent that we can take our child abroad for evaluation. Sometimes he bangs his head on the ground so hard that it really makes us feel helpless.
This has been going on for 4 months. She is taking antihistamines. They are called montelukast 10mg. She is taking 1 tablet per day for 2 months. Does anyone know what this is and have they experienced anything similar ? How did you fix it etc ? Your input is appreciated. She is late 40s.
I suddenly had developed wheezing and coughing after exposure to some toxic paint plus for a couple of years when I climb stairs I am short of breath. He said to take meds for a month at one dose and for another month at a half dose and to thereafter see another pulmonologist.

Hello, I am a 35 years old, for over 5yrs now, suffering from a tiny and itchy skin rashes on my face. I tried different creams like Funbac A, Bethametasone N, Skipyem cream and several , , it only go and come back immediately I stop using the cream. I was prescribed drugs like Montelukast, Loratidine, Ketoconazole, Dexamethasone, it comes back after treatment. Please I need your help.
Ive been prescribed with montelukast sadium and chlorphenamine maleate when i was not yet pregnant.. now that im 5wks pregnant im not sure if i could still tkae those meds..

Ive even been on XOLAIR for 6 months, but stopped because i wasnt getting much relief from it. so im going back to antihistamines, but no matter which one i use, it knocks me out! l cant function. my doctor told me to take montelukast sodium with zyrtec. if i take these at night, will they still be as effective the next day? will i still be drowsy all day? Do you have any other ideas for me to use to combat my solar urticaria?
I have been to several ENT specialsits but all of them prescribe me nasal sprays and a montelukast tablet at night which really doesnt help.
Symptoms:
1. Constant thick white jelly mucus feeling like its coming from the back of my nose.
2. Balance issues : kind of like swaying motion.

s what i usually do when i catch a flu and my asthma flares up. and usually my asthma and cough would go away for about a few days. but i noticed after a week of taking cough syrup w/ salbutamol that my coughing is not getting better. so i went to visit my doctor after a few days and by then i was on my second week with cough. she told me that i should focus on treating my asthma so i nebulized on that visit and prescribed me a inhaler. i felt the relief but my cough and breathing is still bad.
1 week after this incident, I experienced very annoying and persistent itchiness, all in the frontal main torso and pelvic region (but without any signs of reddishness, no rashes and no acute OR chronic urticarea) but again due to me needing to concentrate on studying for my finals, I took Allegra120mg for a couple days and decided to take a blood test + stool test.
ve been taking amplodipine / norvasc 10 mg (antihypertensive) for about a year and a half now and montelukast / singulair 10 mg (leukotriene modifier) for shorter periods (2 months, march - may 2008 and 2 months this year, started in early may and still on it). At January 2011, my IgE was 1923 IU/ml. I took medicines named Fexofenadine Hydrochloride 180 mg (0+0+1), Montelukast 10 mg (1+0+0) and Flixonase Nasal Spray according to doctors' advice. But I stopped continuing medicine after 2 month when I felt well. After that, I used to catch cold all the year round. At december 2011, I became ill seriouly and went to the same doctor. According to test of December 2011, my IgE is 1590 IU/ml.
My doctor says, I have been suffering from Rhino-Sinusitis.
Almost 2 full days ago I started having an asthma attack and had no methods of transportation, communication, or medication so it went untreated for 8 or 9 hours. I drove myself to the urgent care and told them about the attack and how I was having some pain at the end of my breath. They put me on a nebulizer for 10 minutes and it did not fully improve, and I told them I could not take a full, deep breath and I still had pain.
