Can you post your blood levels and anything else like medications you are on. Swelling joint pain and weight gain is related to your Dx. Please post meds and labs if you have them.

Hi, I have everything you have so I know how you are suffering. Relafen didn't do anything for my pain, plus it's bad to take any NSAID drug if you have high blood pressure. My cardiologist doesn't want me to take it. Sometimes I do use Advil, but not every day. Tylenol sometimes, but it doesn't do much either. I refuse to take Lyrica because of the weight gain thing. I am already overweight, which is bad for my bp. With my fibro, I get hand pain.

i actually had to be on mobic for a while. its generic name is meloxicam..its a nonsteriodal anti inflammitory. i am no longer taking it, but its good and works well.

Yes, it does help with her pain, but we are waiting to see what other side effects (like dizziness, weight gain, and abdominal issues) are going to present. And, sometimes it makes her feel *too* good. Like in allowing her to do more than she should, and then leaving her to suffer the consequences later. :( We'll see how it goes.... As for medications, I'm on Welbutrin for depression but it is an appetite suppressor and most people lose weight while on it. I don't think Mobic causes weight gain or anything like that. I'm going to start taking my b12 complex again. Hopefully that will help a little bit. The only machine I have readily available is a treadmill. Which is currently facing a blank wall. :| It won't fit anywhere else.

Symptoms include, fatigue, trouble sleeping (wake up, have a hard time falling back to sleep), weight gain despite no change in diet or activity level, dry skin, dry lips, cracked heels, constipation, memory issues, can't focus well, hair loss, aches and pains. There are others, but these are the most unpleasant. My thyroid panels are all in range.

My doctor wrote me a script for Mobic to help with some nerve pain. Im wondering if anyone knows if its similar to tramadol at all, Im hoping not, but anyone who has any helpful info please let me know. I cant start back on opiates again for the pain and Ive heard too many bad stories about tramadol to even consider it as an alternative. Does anyone know if mobic is addictive? My doctor switched me to them today from loratab. I am glad because the loratab really is addictive and I would rather not have my body relying on anything. I have been on the loratab for a little over a year now and I feel like crap if I miss a day and go without it. Not only am I in pain (because of female problems and my back) but I feel like I have the flu. How long will I feel that way without it? since I switch my meds today.

My provider told me I have a little of Osteo arthritis and has prescribed me Mobic for the pain. Now, since like a month ago, I have been feeling like big pulses on my legs, buttock, arms, neck, face, back and stomack at times. It does not last too long but, i do have then through out the whole day. It is somewhat worrying me. Does anyone know why this is happening or what lab test can I get done?

Today a Doctor gave me a script for Mobic,for wrist pain that I have had for the past month from repative work,my Urate levels are at 52 just over limit.Im on Asprin and fluid tablets which can raise these levels. A specialist doctor I saw says it is gout I don't believe it is...I'm unsure about taking the Mobic though for my wrist ??

Yes you can take Mobic with a narcotic pain med. Mobic is a NSAID, and has the same risks as other NSAIDS. In high doses it can cause some kidney issues, the vicodin has tylenol in it and can cause some liver issues in high doses. But they are safe to take together. Typically what you want to watch for is multiple NSAIDS, or Multiple meds with tylenol.

You gain the most weight in the last 8 weeks. So you might barely gain now, and then pack it on fast toward the end which is normal.

I know this is probably a stupid question, but I'm 36weeks pregnant and since my last doctors appointment I haven't gained any weight. I didn't gain weight in the 1st trimester due 2 sickness, but in the 3rd I've been pretty steady with my weight gain...at the very least a poun a week. I haven't gain that much weight but I'm pretty sure I was at least 7 to 10 pounds over weight before I got pregnant.... I'm 5'3 so i think i should weight a little less..... maybe 125lb Before I had my beautiful baby girl (now 25 months) I was working out a lot and I was feeling good ...lol I went down to 128lbs and that when my hubby decided that it was time for another baby ..... I don't even know how or when did It happen.... :(.

I believe that prevacid can cause weight gain ..seems so many babies are now diagnosed with reflux we used to call it cholic and wait for it to pass now seems they put them on meds.Still your doctor would know the answer, I think its the meds and whilst you child ius on them he may gain weight.good luck once he is off the meds he may go down to a normal weight.

So do you think I won't gain any more weight for a while then since your 16weeks and have also gained 10lbs?

I was around 137 pre pregnancy and am now 151. Is this a normal amount of weight gain and how much more weight is normal??? I feel like I've gained so much since some women don't gain any.
