518798 tn?1295212279 i actually had to be on mobic for a while. its generic name is meloxicam..its a nonsteriodal anti inflammitory. i am no longer taking it, but its good and works well.
Avatar f tn Hi... I was diagnosed with ostearthritis & fibromyalgia a few years ago...and have been taking mobic since then, which has worked. About a month ago, the mobic didn't seem to be working as well.. my hands were hurting a lot at work... so I went back to my dr & he changed my medicine to relafen for the osteoarthritis & lyrica for the fibromyalgia. Although the lyrica seems to work, I'm not liking the side effects, puffy hands & feet & eye twitching...
Avatar n tn Instead of treating my allergy symptoms, my doctor prescribed an anti-inflammatory medicine called Mobic. My doctor said that the pressure made my facial bones super sensitive to the touch. Mobic has worked pretty well - might be worth a shot!
Avatar m tn My doctor wrote me a script for Mobic to help with some nerve pain. Im wondering if anyone knows if its similar to tramadol at all, Im hoping not, but anyone who has any helpful info please let me know. I cant start back on opiates again for the pain and Ive heard too many bad stories about tramadol to even consider it as an alternative. Also if anyone knows of anything that helps nerve pain, Im open for any suggestions. Hope everyone is well, thanks.
Avatar f tn I have swollen knuckles, I have tried oral mobic, it's not helping so much, I've tried aspercreme, nothing there either. Is there a good rub on cream for joint inflammation? What is it?
Avatar n tn I have many health issues including chronic pain and RSD. I have post polio syndrome as well. There are some good days and some really, really bad days. Over the past 10 years I have been on many pain meds to help with these symptoms. I have been on Oxycontin about 4 times and have stopped using it because the drug demands you to increase the dose and I am not willing to become a slave to these drugs. I have been on just Percocet 5-10mg about 3 times a day for about 3 years.
Avatar m tn I’m in my mid-forties, and have a lot of medical problems that keep me in constant pain. Some of the things I’ve been diagnosed with include osteoarthritis, bone spurs, fibromyalgia, sciatica, lots of torn cartilage in my knees, lower back pain, COPD, anxiety attacks, depression, PTSD, and, well, you get the picture. My primary doctor and my neurologist have me on a lot of medications.
1516809 tn?1345082764 I never experience any pain in my lower back. I usually feel discomfort in my legs, and usually a jolt of pain when I first sit in a chair which then subsides. The Dicoflenac also provided no relief so the covering doctor prescribed Nambutone 500MG twice a day. I just started this three days ago, along with the Tramadol. Despite all these anti-inflammatory medications, I still wake up in the morning with some painful stiffness which eventually subsides after sitting and standing.
Avatar f tn The doctor said nothing to worry about, RA was negative but the ANA was positive. I take Exforge for HBP. I take Vicodin for the pain but does not work and Mobic does not seem to work either. Any ideas?
Avatar n tn The doctor prescribed nexium, which I have been taking ever since, and it seems to help with the chest pain. Since my blood pressure was high the doctor prescribed another arthritis medicine, can't remember what it was but it didnt seem to help, so he prescribed diclofenac and it caused me to retain water so he prescribed Celebrex, which I felt was working, but when I went for my regular check up he had blood work done and low iron were the results.
Avatar n tn My provider told me I have a little of Osteo arthritis and has prescribed me Mobic for the pain. Now, since like a month ago, I have been feeling like big pulses on my legs, buttock, arms, neck, face, back and stomack at times. It does not last too long but, i do have then through out the whole day. It is somewhat worrying me. Does anyone know why this is happening or what lab test can I get done?
1044813 tn?1370494406 Mobic is now listed as a treatment on the Pain Tracker.
Avatar n tn Are these meds taken all at the same time? It would depend a lot on that... It looks like you went through someone's medicine cabinet and wrote everything down!
Avatar m tn Yes you can take Mobic with a narcotic pain med. Mobic is a NSAID, and has the same risks as other NSAIDS. In high doses it can cause some kidney issues, the vicodin has tylenol in it and can cause some liver issues in high doses. But they are safe to take together. Typically what you want to watch for is multiple NSAIDS, or Multiple meds with tylenol.
Avatar f tn Today a Doctor gave me a script for Mobic, for wrist pain that I have had for the past month from repative work,my Urate levels are at 52 just over limit.Im on Asprin and fluid tablets which can raise these levels. A specialist doctor I saw says it is gout I don't believe it is...I'm unsure about taking the Mobic though for my wrist ??
Avatar m tn I've called several Orthopedic Clinics in my area and they have all told me that ribs are not part of their specialty. I can accept that, but I don't know where else to go. I noticed the ribs were assymetrical about 7 or 8 years ago, while I was in college. It didn't hurt too much, but I went to the free clinic on the campus to ask about it any way. The doctor told me to take ibuprofen if it bothered me and, in so many words, to stop wasting her time.
3122657 tn?1357432602 Mobic is the brand name...Meloxicam is the generic...I take it for my joint pain brought on by TX. Its a prescription only NSAID that is easier on the stomach than Ibu and Naproxen. It helps some. I also use Arnicare (arnica gel)...its homeopathic stuff that I rub on my knee, wrists, etc. I'm not sure about rubbing alcohol thing.
Avatar f tn I am not sure what I have the doctors are not sure what I have, I have had one tell me I have pure sensory neuropathy one tell me no I dont, but all I know is the pain in my feet and my toes is somtimes unbareable and it is not really pain it is buzzing like you toes are asleep or numb constantly all I know is when I take the medication mobic they dont hurt as bad. Does anyone experience this type of problem? I am having trouble with my gastro as well. Does that have anything to do with it?

176838 tn?1211460374 I am a 31 year old female and I recently saw a fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue specialist for a myriad of complaints including fatigue, headaches, joint & muscle pain. He thinks I might have sleep apnea which would account for some of my symptoms but not all. I have some of the pressure points for fibromyalgia but not a full 11.
Avatar n tn My doctor put me on Mobic, and Flexeril for pain from a bad fall a few months ago-no xrays, etc. He had me stop Mobic for a week, saying to resume after chest pains stop. I think that helped but I resumed it about 1wk ago, and the chest pains seem worse and more frequent. I just stopped the Mobic again today, to see if that helps. I am concerned it could be a prelude to a heart attack. The Doctor did mention it could be Pluerisy, but didn't dwell on it.

Avatar n tn December 22, 2009, I was rearended.. Initial dx cervical whiplash, prescribed med..pain still persist.. hd mri mild cervical spine spondlosis with left paracentral disc protrusion at c-5-6.. Main symptoms to date radiating pain in shoulder into elbow. Had an EMG done 30 June 2010.. Findings: Consistent with mild axonopathy of the left lower c4-c-5 cervical nerve roots. THe electrical findings in any left upper extremity muscles makes it impossible to isolate radiculopathy to one specific level.
