Does anyone know the laws in Pennsylvania regarding drug tests and pregnancy?? Not looking for judgement here, have already quit I just want to know if anyone knows the laws?

So we went our seporate ways and life went on, he got married and I got married (both ended in divorce) and in the meantime.. HIS father married MY aunt. I work in a retail job where I am often on my feet. When my lower back pain gets too bad or my feet and legs begin to swell I am allowed to sit on a stool at the register. Today, my back and feet have been really bad from the previous day of work and we had a couple cashiers in training who aren't allowed to be left alone.

I don't know our company policy on pregnancy but I am getting another handbook. I got told when I started there by other employees that if you get pregnant you get fired. I always thought they really can't do that. People have said that you become a liability. Since I do work at a horse farm. I can't really afford to get fired and try and find another job. The problem is about EXPECTATIONS!! We expect too much from our in laws at the time of pregnancy. We want them to care us like our mother n father but we have to remember they are our in laws not our real parents. Our parents gave so much love to us so we expect same from others. s illegal for adultery in the state of Idaho and your pregnancy is proof of adultery but in idaho your gonna have to look at the laws for where you live and you could possibly have your assets taken away.

In the divorce paperwork they will set visitation. Idk what the laws are where you are but here in KY you can not file for divorce until the child is born. You can file for legal separation but that is it. I would go ahead and call a lawyers and see what the rules are in your area. You may be able to file but not go to court until after baby is here. In divorce papers they will set up child support, visitation, medical support for baby etc.

I was hoping my divorce would be over soon so i could just wait but i also heard that a divorce cant be finalized untill the baby is born

My father is a state rep and also practice family law for many years, and thats how i found all this out. Missouri AND Arkansas have nearly identical laws on this matter, so I would reeeally do some research. I also filed all my paperwork myself and you can say that the child is not his and not of the marriage. He can contest that if he wants, but all that would do would make him look like a drama king and could actually do harm to any thing he tried to contest later.

If your company is large enough to have to abide by FMLA laws and you have been there at least a year, I don't think they can do that unless they drum up some "other" reason just to be able to get rid of you.

ladies, when did you tell everyone at work that you were pregnant??? I'm excited, but in this economy I'm afraid to loose my job. I know I have rights as a pregnant woman, but I live in missouri. Missouri is a no cause state. That means the employer doesn't have to give a reason to let you go. Winter is comming and I am in a sales position. I also do quite a bit of physical work at my job.

I did both mine for 10 months and I worked, too. I just pump at work. In Missouri there are laws that require employers to provide time and a place for mom's to pump. I never had any issues. Just do it as long as you can! :-) good luck!
