Has anyone ever successfully used antibiotics (minocycline, etc.) for Psoriatic Arthritis? Please share.

Minocycline, Metrogel, Prosacea, Eurax, Loprox, Tea Tree Ointment, Econazole, Clotrimazole, Ketoconazole 1%, Selsun Blue, Lotrimin Ultra, Finacea, oral Diflucan, an assortment of vitamins and supplements, natural and alternative medicine. I have this theory that my body is attacking my chin area's skin cells, therefore breaking down my skin barrier or turning cell turnover too rapidly, which may make the cells clump up in my pores. How do I get to the gist of it and stop it?

I have psoriasis too. now it's almost gone, I changed diet and I gave up booze and cigs. also the Neurologist I saw the first thing he asked me was if I my psoriasis was looked after by someone and at first he thought of vasculitis which happens in people with psoriasis , they say. another doctor also had told me it could have been psoriatic arthritis. the doctor is wrong he just sees psoriasis and says "psoriasis!".

she put me on a steriod and it didnt work, put me on another and it didnt work, told me to go to a dermotologist. The dermotologist looked at it and immediate told me it was guttate psoriasis put me on minocycline and cream, the rash went away in a matter of day though I still have some scaring on my legs.

I was prescribed minocycline for my acne on the 21st of December and started taking it that day, found out on the 27th of January that I am pregnant with my first baby and I am driving myself crazy with worry! Everything I've read is telling me that minocycline is extremely bad to take while pregnant or becoming pregnant.

i have been taking minocycline 100 mg to 200 mg a day sometimes and using retin a micro 0.1% gel every night for 2 years.I have been getting alot of acne for the last 2 or 3 months so i went to my see my dermatologist.he said since i been taking minocycline 100 mg daily for 2 years and using the retin a micro 0.1% for 2 years and im still breaking out i should try something new like it may be wearing off....he put me on oracea 40mg once a day and differin gel 0.3%....

ve read on here that a person taking PEP should test after 3 months of being off PEP to obtain a conclusive result. I took minocycline for 4 months after possible exposure. Then got tested 3 and a half weeks later (around 5 months). Negative result. The test was a rapid antibody test. ve looked for info over the internet, the only things that possibly fit are pustular psoriasis or one of those weird autoimmune blistering diseases like pemphigoid or something. I do have some autoimmune problems (rheumatoid arthritis) that I control with a low daily dose of prednisone. Can anyone shed ANY light on this?
