I have been on Zoloft for about 7 months now, after dealing with crippling anxiety and depression. this medicine really worked wonders! recently I was put on Minocycline for my chronic forehead and shoulder acne, and I was all for the idea of clear skin, whether I had to take pills or not. ever since, slowly but surely, my anxiety is making a reappearance, along with my depression, both of which I thought were long gone.
is there a way to reduce or remove the large scale blackening of my skin, and is this a common side effect of long term antibiotics, such as minocycline or levaquin? Is there a better oral antibiotic (than minocycline) for trteating staphaureas? Should I accept this discoloration?
Has anyone ever successfully used antibiotics (minocycline, etc.) for Psoriatic Arthritis? Please share.
The name of this medication i am on is Minodene (50mg) and it contains a substance called Minocycline. It says it is used for sexually transmitted infections, prostate infections etc and in the instructions it says it may affect medical results. Is the test at 8 weeks reliable?? so in other words im on these tablets and do the tablets affect my result i got from a INSTI test? Thanks!

We decided to use a topical cream, for the more oily areas on my face, and for me to take a 100mg dosage of Apo-Minocycline two times a day (morning and night). Hi iv been struggling with recurrent infections around my nose, beard and scalp for the last two years. The problem started after a course of accutane for my acne. The dermatologist said it was foliculitis and put me on minocycline (50mg twice a day for three months), however, a month into the course the problem flared up again. I notice that you have suggested oral antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs to combat perioral dermatitis. I've been suffering from this condition for about 2 years. I was pregnant when I was diagnosed with it and my doctor was only comfortable prescribing a topical antibiotic. This did very little to help the condition.
Since my episode, I have taken 45 doses of 100 mg Minocycline in connection with my treatment for acne. I have read that taking antibiotics can affect syphilis test results. If I test for syphilis, will my minocycline medication lead to an inaccurate result? Furthermore, would the minocycline eradicate the syphilis from my body?
Hi Can anyone, please give me any advice, Ive been taking minocycline tablets for 5 months and have just found out I am 4 weeks pregnant the last few days I increased the dose to 200mg as my skin was terrible. I am now worried sick that I have caused fetal damage to my nuborn baby.

He seemed to think it was a type of acne and has given me minocycline. If I do have KP or chicken skin is this an effective medication? The bumps are very hard to squeeze and if they are squeezable a very small amount of white stuff comes out. which resembles a fine string.
Any ideas? Diagnosis?
