but my gram stain result was smear shows many negative bacili in singles and in chains with moderate epithelial cells and few pus cells. she gave me this vaginal suppository.. metronidazole neo penotran.. once a day for 7 days.. but i have my period so i didnt insert the last suppository. instead i wait for my menstration to stop then i insert my last suppository.. is it ok? and now my vagina dries./. is it normal for my vagina to get dry if i use this vaginal suppository? thanx..

When I went in on Thursday he said he thinks I have Bacterial Vaginosis and prescribed me Metronidazole Vaginal Gel - one dose before bed for 5 nights and he also mentioned I have a mucus plug. Last night was my third night on the treatment and since leaving the doctor's office I have had some bleeding and since starting this treatment I have noticed that large amount of brown discharge. The discharge looks like little blood clots leaving my body and they have not stopped.
I visited the doctor Monday with a vaginal infection and was given Metronidazole to start taking. I went back for results Wednesday and I was confirmed to have BV. My doctor then gave me Erythromycin to take (2, twice a day)... as well as the Metronidazole (3, three times a day). This seems like an awful lot of antibiotics. Why was I given Erythromycin, when from as far as I can tell, Metronidazole alone is the recommended treatment for BV?

at first i didnt bother it but after my medication in soar throat and allergy(urcatitaria), my vagina started to became itchy and again, everyday i started having green discharged for `1 week. i went to a gynecologist and she prescribed me a metronidazole miconazole vaginal suppository and ive used that for `1 week.. now what my problem is, my white discharge had stop.. i am also currently taking up medice for my UTI and had experiexed sex but that was like long time ago...
Metronidazole can cause diarrhea as a side effect. But it may be also working on the infective cause of your dog's illness in the first place, so don't stop it without speaking to your vet.
Meanwhile keep your dog hydrated. If you can find an unflavoured electrolyte drink like Pedialyte that would be great. Plain water would do for a short time but Pedialyte would be better.
I was prescribed it last week for a bacterial infection. Took it 4 times and my face started to break out in a rash. Called the pharmacist and then the doctor. Both said i was having an allergic reaction to the medicine. Both said to stop taking it. I go to the doctor next week to ddiscuss other options. So just watch out for that.....
My heart beat is erratic most of the time anyway but when I tried taking flagyl for campylobacter, it didn't affect my heart at all. I just got extremely sick and intestinal issues worsened. They had to switch me.

My question is, would it be okay for me to consume alcohol on Saturday night?
I know my pharmacist told me to absolutely stay away from alcohol while I was taking the pills because I would vomit alot, and he said most people wait a couple of days after they've finished before they drink. Im just wondering if two days is enough time?
I went to the obgyn last week they ran urine samples and std tests and everything was okay, I told them I’m spotting still for two weeks now three and cramping the test came back for BV so they prescribed me Metronidazole I felt way too anxious about taking it , Friday I went in for a ultrasound and pelvic ultrasound I believe and got the results today that it was fine. Hi my name is jennifer I been taking antibiotics for the past 2 weeks, Omeprazole 20 mg, Metronidazole 500 mg and Clarithromycin 500 mg and also I been taking my birth control pills for the past 3 weeks (Jolivette).
I jus found out today I am pregnant. I'm concer with the health of the unborn baby. I am worry if the any possibility of births defects and any other problem related to the medications.
It talks about Reflux Menstruation. I have ovarian cysts that rupture every month, and endo. The endo was either caused from my cysts rupturing or when i had my c-section. If u can find the book, i highly recommend getting it and reading it. It has helped me understand the Endo alot.
i was given doxycycline and more metronidazole and finished these about three weeks ago. the tests results for stds and candida all came back negative, but the sympoms are still present.
i am going back to the gum the next time i can get away from work, but no one has been able to tell me what kind of infection this is or what kind of treatment will work. i would think it was only bv but the doctor said that it was an infection of some kind.

The doctor prescribed me a mega dose of the metronidazole and said I should feel better in 24 hours. I did NOT feel better in 24 hrs I waited a week because everything online kept telling me the symptoms could take a week to subside but when they didn’t I called my doctor and she prescribed me another mega dose. The vet has now said to keep her on all of the meds except Galliprant and to come in for an anti-nausea as her belly might be upset from the antibiotic causing her to not want to eat. Has anyone had any experience with Galliprant and/or Metronidazole? Taking them at the same time?

Hi and sorry you got the run around. You can carry C. difficile and if you don't have symptoms and since you don't have the toxin B then you don't need treatment. So, if you don't have symptoms you don't need the antibiotic. If you want to finish the course of metronidazole for the parasite you can even though they didn't find one. Sometimes it takes several specimens to find one. Do you have diarrhea? If so, how often do you have diarrhea per day? Or are you over it?
