Metaxalone lethal dosage

Common Questions and Answers about Metaxalone lethal dosage

skelaxin

Avatar m tn I've taken a total of 6mg of xanax today, Is alcohol an issue with that dosage?
Avatar n tn This means as little as 25mg of methadone has been known to kill adults with no tolerance to opiates. This is a surprisingly low lethal dosage for many people, but I assure you it is true. Methadone has a very long half-life, unlike heroin, which is a short-acting opiate. So 36 hours after taking methadone, the user will still have half as much of their initial dose in their system.
Avatar m tn You need to take your medication exactly as your doctor prescribed, that means you take it WHEN he prescribed you to take it and in the DOSAGE he prescribed. If you are having problems sleeping, discuss that with your doctor. Self-medicating can not only be dangerous, it can be lethal.
Avatar m tn The max dose of acetaminophen is 4 Gm/day (4000 mg). The lethal dost is considered to be 6-10 Gm. Even the 4 Gm per day dose can cause liver damage over an extended period of time.
Avatar m tn Yes, it certainly can be lethal. At the dosage your wife was taking, she could have died of a seizure--Ultram is notorious for that. She must NEVER take that much again. I tapered off it myself, from 18/day to 8, and then down to four over the past two months. I'm now at four and will probably stay on it at that dosage. She will probably be sad, out of sorts, and anxious while she is coming off, as tramadol has an antidepressant effect, and her body will miss that effect. Hang in there!
Avatar n tn While the majority of the collies in Europe and overseas do not have this gene, the majority of the collies in the USA DO have it, and therefore using ivermectin on them can prove lethal. This gene encodes a large transmembrane protein, p-glycoprotein, which is an integral part of something called the blood-brain barrier. P-glycoprotein is responsible for transporting medications FROM the brain back into the capillaries.
951587 tn?1249227148 that is an extremely high dose...you should know that barbiturate tolerance is very different than tolerance to other things. you need more and more but the lethal dose remains the same...so if 1gm is the lethal dosage, it won't change just because you've built a tolerance to the effects of it. i would find a taper plan immediately. you are very close to that lethal dose mark. barbiturates are so rare that most people don't understand the addiction.
Avatar f tn As this occurs, the margin between an intoxication dosage and fatal dosage becomes smaller. The lethal dose of a barbiturate is far less if alcohol is also ingested. Major withdrawal symptoms (convulsions and delirium) may occur within 16 hours and last up to 5 days after abrupt cessation of these drugs. Intensity of withdrawal symptoms gradually declines over a period of approximately 15 days. Treatment of barbiturate dependence consists of cautious and gradual withdrawal of the drug.
Avatar f tn It doesn't produce "immediate lethal effects". It will be slow and you will fall asleep. There's another word for what you did. It's called an overdose. If you really took that much Ibuprofen and Benadryl, and I assume you did, you need to call an ambulance.
Avatar n tn Hi jjackson, you can give some people meds like tums to cats but antibiotics need to be prescribed from the vet only because the dosage and type of infections cats get are different from the types we get and it can be lethal to give people meds to cats especially a pregnant one. The antibiotic you mention is in the tetracycline family and can cause birth defects in humans so do not give it to your cat, take her to the vet.
Avatar n tn Impression: 1. Anomalous origin or the right coronary artery, coursing between the ascending aorta and the pulmonary outflow tract, the "lethal Variant" with between 50 and 75% narrowing of its proximal segment.... Doesn't that mean possibly only 25% is coursing through....?
Avatar m tn X-ray revealed nothing, and I have been through chiropractic and physical therapy with marginal relief at best ( ~ 24 hours.) medications used include metaxalone, valium and ibuprofen. stiffness has remained constant, w/ a reduced ROM when flexing my neck laterally. I also occasionally experience shooting pain up the left side of my neck when i rotate my head in that direction. Neck remains inflamed and "cracks" often.
Avatar m tn Whenever you have a question like this, Google the drug and there will be several websites that list contraindications. This particular drug acts like a benzo, as it targets GABA. While CBD oil doesn't target the same neurotransmitter -- CBD oil because it has been illegal for so long doesn't have great research on it yet but seems to act on serotonin but not in the same way or same part of the brain as other substances that affect serotonin.
5664638 tn?1371956989 Are you sure she received the proper dosage? Bloody stool is never good. You definitely need to get her to the vet.
Avatar m tn Now I think I should be worried more about lethal Hep B/C and less lethal Herpes..Can I put closure to my HIV worriers? Can I consider this conclusive.
Avatar m tn Hello All- I need advice/help/reassurance on tapering off Lorazepam. I was prescribed it about a year ago for migraines/general anxiety and insomnia. I would take it "as needed", but as of about 6 months ago have been taking it just about every night. Usually 1mg. Well, I decided to stop. Last Saturday night. I had some drinks at a party and didnt take it. Bad insomnia and felt awful the next day. Tried it again this past Saturday. Same thing. Really felt bad. So I took 1 last night.
Avatar n tn Life Vest would likely be more effective for treatment of these lethal rhythms but you mentioned that there is no history of defibrillator shocks (i.e no history of lethal rhythms or no history of lethal rhythms long enough to warrant therapy). Amiodarone have frequent side effects, most (but not all) are associated with long term use. Obviously it is not a case with using LifeVest. On the other hand you mentioned that biventricular pacemaker helps for ‘irregular beats’.
Avatar f tn Hi guys, I know this is a pretty common topic for some time already...I have been reading alot on others, this time I would like to share about myself: I would say I'm a codeine abuser, I'm not a kid, I'm 34 with 3 kids. I have been stuck with cold meds initially, but eventually codeine as the effects are much faster and stronger...it has been 4 years since. Im taking it as it makes me more relaxed, and easier to fall asleep.
1310633 tn?1430224091 The state, which executes more people than any other in the United States, plans to execute Ray Jasper, 33, at 6 p.m. CDT by lethal injection at its death chamber in Huntsville. Jasper was convicted of the 1998 killing of David Alejandro, 33, who owned and operated a studio where musicians could be professionally recorded for a fee. Jasper and two friends recorded at the studio for about two hours and then took out knives to attack Alejandro.
Avatar n tn If she has ketones we give her extra no carb fluids and contact per endocrinologist on how to adjust her insulin dosage. We do this because sometimes she has ketones due to being ill other times it is a missed bolus from the pump or not enough insulin. I would suggest you talk to your Childs endocrinologist or CDE on better ways for you as a team to get this situation under control. If they will not help you I would suggest you get a second opinion. For another pediatric endocrinologist.
Avatar f tn Allergies are a biochemical response to chemicals that cause measurable physiologic changes and can be lethal. What many people call allergies are actually just adverse effects of the drugs (e.g., upset stomach from aspirin). Adverse reactions can be tolerated, allergies are more complex. Have you talked with your doctor? For example, Atenolol can definitely make people feel tired and foggy. That's not an allergy, just an adverse reaction.
Avatar m tn A fever of 103 is lethal. To be exact..
Avatar n tn i couldnt exactly tell if it was methadone youare on for pain or other painkillers, but assuming its methadone you are on for pain its definitely going to be hard to get off of, it is a very effective pain killer and long alsting, and prduces less of a rush or euphoria than heroin and toehr strong opiates, but it is very addicting and can be lethal.- i am on it for a bad addiction to heroin and oxycontin(snorted) and its a great treatment option for me, but its def. addicting too.
Avatar m tn A-fib is not by itself lethal but it does cause other problems. As Rita said asparin doesn't begin to control the clotting problem. When your atria are fibrillating that generates turbulence that can cause clots. If the clot is generated in the right side of your heart then the only place it can go is to your lungs. Google "pulmonary embolism". Not a nice way to go. If the clot is generated on the left side of your heart then the fun really begins.
