I AM 18 YEARS OLD. MY PROBLEM IS THAT THROUGHOUT THE DAY MY HEART BEATS IN A FUNNY MANNER. LIKE THERE ARE 5 TO 6 REGULAR BEATS AND THEN THE NEXT BEAT COMES AFTER A SLIGHTLY LONGER PAUSE. I HAVE HAD ELECTRO AMD ECHOCARDIOGRAMS AND THEY BOTH WERE NORMAL. I GET VERY SCARED WHEN THIS HAPPENS. I GET PALPITATIONS. I AM THE KIND OF PERSON WHO PAYS A LOT OF ATTENTION TOWARDS THESE THINGS.IS THIS CONDITION DANGEROUS????

I have been suffering from chronic ulcerative colitis (UC) over the last twenty years. I’m in control of it and lead almost a normal life. I’m currently on 3 grams of Rafassal (Mesalazine) and 200 mg of Imuran (Azathioprine).
My last colonoscopy revealed multiple areas suspicious of low grade dysplasia (LGD) in sigmoid colon and recotoanal junction. There is also doubt they might be high grade dysplasia (HGD).
My doctor advised that these LGDs be removed.
I had only 1 unvoluntary risk in my life. I was in a regulated brothel in Switzerland (Lugano) with a 23 Romanian csw, 8 months ago. During vaginal intercourse, condom brake. I did not realize it and finished inside her. Total exposure could have been 5/7 minutes. I had no symptoms and went to STD doctor in Milan who told me to move on and did not suggest me to get tested. I forgot about what happened and never had 1 symptom. At end Nov 2012 I found blood in feces.
It is rather general question. I was taking mesalazine , it is an anti-inflammatory drug but has also some immunosuppressive functions. I stopped it 4 months before testing.
i love my girlfriend very much more than anything in the world, she has crohns and im very worried. I am told that she cannot take any kind of contraception because of the tablets she is taking. which means we can only use condoms, my problom is what if one snaps what can we do fi she cannot take the pill or the morning after pill, or anything. im calling to people out there who can help us if they know if there is anything else we can use to be safe ..........please help me.
I also previously would normally have a bowel movement in the morning, but generally not in the afternoon, while now I often feel like I need to go again right after lunch. Sometimes I feel like I have gas or bloating in the afternoon, but not consistantly, and the other problems occur whether or not I have gas.
Hi . I am a 20 years old male and was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis 8 month ago. It is proctitis and i'm currently taking 6 tabs and 2 supps of mesalazine daily.. i want to use whey protein or amino acids tab for muscle buliding .. i have asked about it from 6 different doctors and all of them advised me not to use them.. but i realy dont understand why i cant take them.. is it safe to take homemade whey protein ? Why shouldnt i take whey supplement and how can it affect my disease?
I have just experienced severe stress in my life (my dog died) but could this actually effect my body so severely? the blood is bright red. The urgency for diarrhea often results in just gas and almost clear mucus with a bit of red blood. In general I don't feel so great and I thought it was because I am so sad about the dog...
I don't have a family doctor so should I just do a walk in?

I had problems absorbing the drugs they gave me when my symptoms worsened and ended up in a medi-go-round in and out of hospital because I didn't have classic fever, diarrhoea, or actually any pain! What affected 18 cm of my bowel is now affecting my Left colon. I found the right Dr who got me off steroids and immunosupressants and on to generic Sulfasalazine to turn down the 'heat'.
I have been hospitalized four times in last two years. Finally I met a doctor in UK who prescribed Asacol Foam Enema. I was unable to get into remission for last so many years with all drugs, however, with this foam enema, I got in full remission in just few weeks. I was surprised to find that drug industry that makes Enemas for UC has been dominated by company that makes Rowasa Enema (Israeli Company). I am shocked to find that Rowasa has complete monopoly over this industry.
com and even on Medhelp (Maria2008) that tested at 6months+ negative and positive later due to Mesalazine/Mezalamine - WBC in urine - my son's potential case: putting all these together, I reached a point where I feel I am one of the unluckiest very small percentage that contracted it from BJ (maybe due to French Kiss, or low immunity of UC and being sick at the same time resulting in higher risk). I also read that there are a few documented cases of people in US contracting HIV from BJs.
Is anyone else on here suffering with depression or anxiety in their pregnancy?
I was diagnosed with PND after having my LG and got rid of it fine but have been living with anxiety ever since, I was coping with it fine but since falling pregnant this time my anxiety had definitely worsened and finding the right treatment is tricky.
I know it's a common problem before and after pregnancy. Hang in there! Avoid fatty foods... like anything!!! with cholesterol.
