Avatar m tn I AM 18 YEARS OLD. MY PROBLEM IS THAT THROUGHOUT THE DAY MY HEART BEATS IN A FUNNY MANNER. LIKE THERE ARE 5 TO 6 REGULAR BEATS AND THEN THE NEXT BEAT COMES AFTER A SLIGHTLY LONGER PAUSE. I HAVE HAD ELECTRO AMD ECHOCARDIOGRAMS AND THEY BOTH WERE NORMAL. I GET VERY SCARED WHEN THIS HAPPENS. I GET PALPITATIONS. I AM THE KIND OF PERSON WHO PAYS A LOT OF ATTENTION TOWARDS THESE THINGS.IS THIS CONDITION DANGEROUS????
Avatar m tn I have been suffering from chronic ulcerative colitis (UC) over the last twenty years. I’m in control of it and lead almost a normal life. I’m currently on 3 grams of Rafassal (Mesalazine) and 200 mg of Imuran (Azathioprine). My last colonoscopy revealed multiple areas suspicious of low grade dysplasia (LGD) in sigmoid colon and recotoanal junction. There is also doubt they might be high grade dysplasia (HGD). My doctor advised that these LGDs be removed.

Avatar n tn hello, If you still have any of the symptoms of any blood at all in your stool you should definitely see a doctor as there is a possiblity of colon cancer. I think I have blood and maybe mucous in my stool and went today though don't have any other symptoms.
Avatar m tn 1 - You think what my STD doctor told me is reasonable? 2 - Would you suggest any HIV testing to me? I think I am ready to move on if you will not tell me that tested is warranted to me. 3 - You think GE was professional by giving me mesalazine after sigmoidoscopy (when I have been told proctitis I knew nothing about causes)? You think proctitis cannot be related to HIV? 4 - Nodes - Can 2 nodes be related to autoimmune proctitis? Should I get further in analysing my nodes?
Avatar n tn Hunter Hendsfield says that immunosuppressants do not delay seroconversion byt doctor on The.Body forum says that it is possible and immunosuppressants may delay seroconversion. I'm confused... 1.Do you know the opinion other doctors? 2.Maybe only high doses of immunosuppressants delay seroconversion?? 3. What's the window period for immunosuppressed persons? 3 months? 6 months? more ??
Avatar n tn Dear doctor, Since last 10 months I have a slight sense of pain in area just below the right ribs ,feeling of acidity , gases all the times, always i have sticky and semi loose stools. when i beat with hand on the lower right back i get pain in liver area. i always have cracking sounds in stomach 2 hrs after the meal. i have shown to the doctor 10 months back & he said it is just a acidity problem.
Avatar m tn The doctor has also tested cultures for bacteria and viruses and tested a stool sample, and all the tests were negative. I'm going to see the doctor again soon, but since he hasn't yet been able to determine the cause of my problems, I was wondering if anyone here might have any suggestions for what could be causing them or how they might be treated.
Avatar n tn The symptoms seem to go away and come back randomly. He was fine for about a year and then the symptoms came back. He has had a colonoscopy and taken hydrocotosone. The hydrocotosone suppisotories did not help his symptoms they only caused bloating. Here is a brief family history... His mother has diabetes, high blood pressure, and diviterlitis. If anyone could give me some idea of what he might have I would love to suggest it to his doctor who seems to be stumped.
20922415 tn?1661860103 If pregnancy occurs, progesterone is produced in the placenta, and levels remain elevated throughout the pregnancy. The combination of high estrogen and progesterone levels suppresses further ovulation during pregnancy. Progesterone also encourages the growth of milk-producing glands in the breast during pregnancy. High progesterone levels are believed to be partly responsible for symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS), such as breast tenderness, feeling bloated, and mood swings.
Avatar m tn Just for the information I AM SUFFERING FROM ULCERATIVE COLITIS SINCE 10 YEARS AND NOW I AM ON MESALAZINE 800 MG TWICE DAILY. I MAY BE SUFFERING FROM BOTH UC AND CROHN'S DISEASE. MY WEIGHT IS ONLY 35 KG AND I AM HAVING MESALAZINE SINCE 10 YEARS.MY HB LEVEL IS 11.
Avatar m tn father with ulcerative colitis hence immune system already week, and due to stress no proper hygiene and water so saliva minimal and not that healthy, + hi viral load, +small mouth ulcer since 10 days + son is only 1.9year with growing teeth: in this case, would there be any slight chance of transmission??
Avatar f tn did you tell your doctor you're late?
Avatar n tn Of these, Free T3 is the most important because Free T3 largely regulates metabolism and many other body functions. (note that Free T3 and T4 are not the same as Total T3 and T4). From just looking at your lab results in light of my experience, I see nothing there to be alarmed about. Your Free T3 is above the midpoint of its range and Free T4 is also within range, though it is in the lower quarter of the range.
2176548 tn?1340677817 However this does not happen in early pregnancy. Also pregnancy cannot be diagnosed based on symptoms only. If periods are missed then a pregnancy test can be taken. Serum HCG levels and an ultrasound scan will help confirmation of pregnancy. Hope this helps.
2006473 tn?1422033301 I learned I had PCOS at a early age, I was 16 (currently 31 yrs old) I had started my periods when I was 11 and then by the age of 16 I had nothing! was put on the pill to regulate but since I wasn't sexually active at the time I forgot to take them all the time. Got back on the pill at 18, went off the pill at 26 (2006). Continued to have a period that first yr off the pill. Then 3 times a year, and then nothing from 2008 - 2009.
Avatar f tn I'm 7 weeks pregnant and contracted a uterus infection and my doctor prescribed me two cycles of 1000mg of azithromycin and I'd love a second opinion!
Avatar f tn I read online that your cervix is very sensitive during pregnancy and its possible my bf irritated, or (to be blunt) went too deep and made me bleed. Like I said, there was no pain or cramps or anything of that nature. I didnt even know I was bleeding. It wasnt alot, but it wasnt a little. Has anybody else had this problem, should I be worried?
Avatar f tn If you do get pregnant you need to test immeidately and probably increase meds about 20%. Testing during pregnancy is montly, and meds may need to be increased quite a bit.
2050045 tn?1343153733 I forgot to say that my best friend was 3 weeks ahead of me in her pregnancy- she posted the moment she knew around 4 weeks. At 9 weeks she found out there was no heart beat, and had to have a D & C. She was devastated, and even now people post on fb 'how's the pregnancy going?' cuz they dot know she lost the baby... I don't want to have to explain 100x that I lost it if it happens...
1943295 tn?1388239324 My main concern I guess is handling the fish and bait (I love using worms and minnows) was safe or not? I always have sani wipes in the tackel box to keep the bacteria at a minimum!
Avatar f tn Congrats on your pregnancy and tapering down on the pills. When you see your OB make sure you tell them everything you have done. They will be able to set your mind at ease. You quit early in your pregnancy and that is a good thing. As long as you stay off the drugs your baby wont be born with wd's. Have you thought about talking to someone about this? There is always a reason why we use.
