1102290 tn?1278499953 We all have it... but lately I feel like I am overwhelmed with stress - not physical but emotional. My job is very stressful and throughout the day - I have a hard time breathing, contract a bit and work myself up so much that I feel like my blood is boiling. I am okay in the morning - calm and can eat - but by the time noon comes around I am usually so worked up - eating is not an option as my heartburn/reflux is on fire. When I do eat - I throw up an hour or so later..
Avatar f tn I understand that you are fighting for your life on both the mental and physical sides. While we can help, to an extent, with the physical side of it, I know that physical issues, sometimes, may not be resolved until the mental ones are; therefore, I strongly urge you to find a doctor experienced in dealing with P.T.S.D., because even if you haven't been formally dx'd with it, that seems to be the prevalent issue.
Avatar n tn My question has been to some extent answered by an earlier stream on your site, but as often happens, some thoughts which I'd like to share with you have arisen in its wake. After many years of experiencing sporadic and various manifestations of very itchy rashes on my body (most recently tiny clear yellowish blisters between fingers) and related visits to doctors, I have become convinced that these eruptions are stress-related.
Avatar f tn Is anyone else pregnant and and suffering from a mental illness. I'm having such a hard time dealing with this, on top of the hormones. I haven't been on meds, and refuse to take any for obvious reasons. How can I take the stress off of the baby?
Avatar f tn Do something that makes you happy. My mental health counselor has told me to find a hobby that doesn't allow me to train myself in my head so I don't over think the situation.

Avatar n tn How do I keep my stress in check? We recently started trying and I am having major breakdowns about once a month. I have been hospitalized with a pulmonary embolism and I have very irregular periods so I feel like I have too much going against me. And breath! I have an appointment with a RE in a little over month but need to at least make it to that point without another breakdown.
Avatar f tn I know it's easy to say, but you really need to calm down. You're going to be fine. So, let's say your stress echo is positive; at your age and physical fitness, the problem can easily be fixed. You know what's bad for your heart? Mental stress. Let the doctor's do their tests and you can look at it like a mini adventure. If you said you had stage 4 lung cancer, then that should keep you up at night. I recently had an angiogram and stent placed.
Avatar m tn The physical evaluation needs to be done to rule out any physical problems, and consulting a mental health professional will help you with your negative emotions and thoughts. Some anxiety and depressive disorders can cause physical symptoms as can extreme stress. Please get checked out and let us know how you're doing. You don't have to live like this, I know cause I've been where you are now. Give yourself a break, there is hope.
Avatar f tn Can stress cause strokes or heart attacks even if all factors are good (i.e low normal bp, np bad chol, triglycerides, etcc...) ?? Is it possible?? Also is it possible you cant be stressed and not experience physical symptoms?? I don't want to take antidepressants if I can avoid it. I took Zoloft 16 yrs ago and they caused me a lot of issues.

Avatar m tn of people world wide that experience occupational related stress, financial related stress, mental health related stress, survival related stress etc etc in their day to day lives but there isn't the billions of MSers to corroborate stress as the trigger for MS.....
Avatar f tn Don't stress yourself out even more with the movement worries. Somedays you wont feel your baby move at all. With my first pregnancy our daughter would go a whole day sometimes without me feeling her move. But my midwife told me that sometimes the way they are positioned stops us from feeling them move. What you could try doing is laying on your back & place both hands on your stomach & most likely you'll feel a little kick or something.
Avatar f tn Apparently, there is some occlusion of a vessel that feeds blood/oxygen to a small area of heart muscle that is deficit of normal blood supply during exertion (physical, mental stress). The condition can be treated with medication that dilates the vessels If medication doesn't relieve angina (chest pain due to deficit blood flow), there can be a stent implant. I have a totally blocked vessel and 72% blocked vessel, etc.
Avatar f tn Hi, Good point.I am currently 26 weeks pregnant and stressed like hell. With me is physical stress.
