No, duh. Margot. I've had dogs for 60 years and know a little something about them. I recently got ripped off by a vet and didn't feel to be had again. Of course, if I had the money, I would have called the vet, who would have told me to bring my dog in and then run expensive tests and then told me what I already knew and then prescribed a vet formulation of flexeril that is identical to human.

Is it safe to take ibuprofen in the same day as Meloxicam? I take 15 mg of the Meloxicam in the morning for pain but need additional pain relief later in the day and I know that both drugs are NSAID so I don't want to accidentally overdose.

Since lupus can affect the internal organs, I would take her to see another rheumie until you find one that will try something other than or in addition to an NSAID like meloxicam. (I also take meloxicam, but in conjunction with three other meds for RA that go after the disease process itself, not just treating the symptoms like meloxicam alone). Blood work is only one of many diagnostic tools, not the yes-or-no definitive answer.

ve been taking Meloxicam for my costochondritis for about a month and felt much better. I quit taking it and had a flare up and am now back on it. I hope it works. I just don't want to be on it too long term.

As you know Meloxicam (Common Brand Name, Mobic) and Ibuprofen are NSAIDs. Each can be effective in reducing pain and inflammation. As with all medications, their effectiveness often depends on an individual's reaction (metabolism).

I got on suboxone in February with the expectation that it would help me stay clean by reducing cravings and that general opiate malaise, I'm sure we're all so fond of. I'll put it like this a literally hate taking my subs i always wait until I'm good and sick to dose, just because sub makes me feel so cappy now. Well that waiting opens up other windows, and I've fallen off the wagon a few times in the last 2 months.

Can you take meloxicam and later a couple of Advil? I was prescribed meloxicam for my arthritis and it does not always help me..

ve been taking Meloxicam 15 mg for about a month. Worked pretty good the first couple of weeks has helped with muscle pain but not so much with joint pain.. Also I am taking Tramadol 50 mg for pain daily, for about 4 months now and it is not working as good as when I first started using it.. My eyes feel dry and slightly burning and my ears feel like they are underwater with a buzzing noise when I lay down sometimes. Anyone else get this feeling with Tramadol?

Meloxicam is considered a strong Motrin, but this meloxicam knocked me out for 24 hours. My husband was soon prescribed it and he also hated it. You cannot drive or read, just sleep. Meloxicam is a pain killer, very strong, and doctors are acting like it is just motrin. It is not. It puts you in a coma.

The drug in both forms is FDA-approved for dogs – the oral form is more often used to treat the symptoms of canine osteoarthritis. The injectable was approved for one-time use only in cats to manage postoperative pain. The oral form was not approved for use in cats at all. I have been on Meloxicam for about 4 months and have gained 20 pounds and i feel swollen. I am also on highblood pressure meds. I just quit taking the Meloxicam. Does anyone know if the weight goes away? How long does it take for bloated feeling to go away?

I went to the doctor for some issues that I had been having and decided to reach out to my doctor for help getting off these bad boys. He perscribed Meloxicam to help with some the withdrawal symptons. I have to say this stuff, which is just an anit inflammatory will helps with the symptons. It eleminates the hot, flush feeling which is most annoying. It really does help. Just wondering if it's all in my head or has anyone actually heard of this? Thanks.

I've been on that medication for many years and have had no side effects. It's been very helpful for my condition (severe tibial tendonitis).

I've read many many many blogs about how dogs are reacting to Phenobarb treatment for seizures. It is so concerning and I am so confused what to do. For a few months after a lipoma removal surgery, our dog Ranger started to 'trip' while walking. Then a few days ago he had a seizure during the night and again about 9 hours later. We took him to the vet yesterday and were told they could try treating him for epilepsy, but it could also be a brain tumor causing the issue.
