i stop taking inderal and i take maxalt wafer so when i have a migraine i take 2 co-codamol 30-500 and take a maxalt wafer that melts on my tongue , and it does help it cuts the pain rite down pretty quick x

have you tried maxalt wafer it melts on your tongue then take 2 kapake that she is ease it or take it \way that day .

I really wanted to know if its suitable to take both.1 mirtazapine per night and 1 maxalt wafer per evening each night. Is this not adviseable?. PLEASE HELP, REALLY WORRIED. thanks.

t mean to interrupt but I am actually a pharmacist and thought I could clarify the maxalt questions.... Maxalt is not a beta blocker. It is a 5HT1B receptor agonist. Basically it's a triptan drug that is used for vascular migraines. Vascular migraines cause vasodilation of blood vessels and that dilation causes pain. Triptan drugs cause vasoconstriction of those blood vessels and thus reduced the pain caused by pressure.

My father has had a colostomy for over 40 years and has had surgery changing him to an ileostomy. Over the past 40 years, he has used bags that do not use any sticky adhesive on the wafer, just a belt and a plastic ring and they've been fine, never leaked. Now switching to the ileostomy, he has changed to using the wafer and bag system with the adhesion. No matter what we try, they are not sticking for longer than a couple hours. We are changing the bags up to 4 times a day.

My stomach is level with my skin. When I use the two piece wafer and bag, the wafer is too rigid and pulls away from my skin, even with a barrier ring and extra build up. I need to be able to access my stomach after the wafer is attached. Thank you.

I suggest the 2 piece system that comes with a adhesive wafer that attaches to the skin, and a bag that is applied somewhat like the lid of a container, it has a rim and snaps in place. Clean and dry the area around the ileostomy, then I suggest using a sticky skin barrier/prep, apply the wafer then secure all around the edges with a good adhering silk or cloth tape, or if you really want to seal it, you can use a thin duoderm dressing around the edges of the wafer/base.

I have been recently told that the maker of Kolonopin no londer makes the .25 wafer so have been given the generic form. Just wondering if anyone has had the experience with changing and might have any feedback. I started the change last night. My doctor mentioned that most patients take the generic form. She proclaims that she diluted and injected her migraine medicine (Maxalt) because she keeps throwing it up. Her symptoms, however, where those of an opiate overdose....blue hands and face, low respiration, eyes rolling backwards, staggering, tremoring arms upon waking up, disorientation, etc. Does anyone know what the side effects would be of injecting maxalt? I find this impossible to believe that it would knock her out and turn her blue.

does either imitrex or maxalt contain caffeine? I was taking Maxalt for migraines and it worked great! Now my insurance has decided I need to try Imitrex before they will approve coverage for the Maxalt. The Imitrex took about 2 hours to have any effect, but eventually my headache subsided. Since then I have had recurring headaches for 4 days.

My question is, are these rebound headaches from the Maxalt? I use the Maxalt no more then once to twice a week. Therefore additional anxiety that she believes that Lexapro 40 mg should take care of anxiety and stop the need for Klonopin is present and brings us additional unneeded worry.

They have been increasing in quantity and severity until about a year and a half ago I had to stop working completely. I am on a combination of darvacet, tramadol, topomax and maxalt. I also get migraines. have you paid attention to any of the known migraine "triggers" like red wiine & chocolate, hard cheeses etc. You probably have but I thought I'd mention it. Like the others, I take Maxalt for mine & it always works. Maxalt is from the migraine interrupter family & also includes imetrix & Zomig. Good luck - it sounds very difficult.

i took 2 maxalt on saturday for a migraine, it didnt help at all, actually made it worse making me vomit for 3 days and today is friday, 6 days later and i still feel like, tired, weak, foggy, not hungry, cant really go to the bathroom even though i feel like i have to. is this gonna go away?

My first 2pregnacys they also gave me vicoden for when migranes were unbearable. This pregnancy my Dr told me I could also take maxalt( I was told w my first 2 that maxalt was not safe AT ALL) after doing some research I decided against maxalt but am continuing firocet.

Maxalt! Maxalt is a great triptan! I think that the fast acting triptans like Maxalt-MLTs are some of the best. Fast acting triptans are any triptans that are orally disintegrating tablets (like the Maxalt-MLTs) or Nasal Sprays or Injections. I use Zomig Nasal Spray which is another type of fast acting triptan, but Maxalt-MLTs work amazingly too... out of all of the triptans I've tried I think that Maxalt-MLTs and Zomig Nasal Spray have worked much faster than any of the other triptans.
