maxalt

1817265 tn?1317302747 Took a hpt yesterday and saw the VERY faint line and family MD did a yes/no blood test, and while it was faint as well, it was a yes. AF wasn't supposed to even show till tomorrow so I'm not even 4wks. We are praying all goes well and can't wait to hold our blessing in our arms! My question-i suffer from migraines related to hormones and have taken Lortab about once a month after I can't handle the pain any longer. Today the full blown migraine is so close.
Avatar f tn does either imitrex or maxalt contain caffeine? I was taking Maxalt for migraines and it worked great! Now my insurance has decided I need to try Imitrex before they will approve coverage for the Maxalt. The Imitrex took about 2 hours to have any effect, but eventually my headache subsided. Since then I have had recurring headaches for 4 days.
Avatar n tn m 10 weeks and at 7 weeks I got a tooth pulled the dentist prescribed me lortab so I called my ob and they said that lortab was fine as they prescribed it to many pregnant women in there office
Avatar f tn m going to assume the later). Maxalt is available in a regular tablet form and an oral dissentigrating (ODT) form. The regular tablet form is now available in generic and is fairly cheap. If you received the brand name only ODT version then I would make sure the MD writes for only generic drugs and ask the pharmacist (who should have mentioned it came in generic in a different formulation) if there is something similar that the MD can change it to before you pay a lot for a RX.
Avatar f tn I have migraines about every other day, and take 5mg maxalt for them. I was just given Remeron for depression, as the doc said i cannot take any SSRI's because of serotonin syndrome. I cannot find and interactions for Remeron, but just wondering if anyone else has tried these together. Any info appreciated.
Avatar f tn Also, my symtoms don't exactly match the standard either, but after going to a Headache clinic I was confirmed as having migraines-the pain is on either the left or right front of my forehead never goes beyond the ears and can be a real pain unless I catch them at the beginning, if wake up with "full blown" it becomes a race btw the Maxalt and the migraine, I have had anywhere from 15-18 per month, also have to use strong coffee and ice pack or it's just a waste of the Maxalt a
Avatar f tn I went to the neurologist yesterdayand they have now ordered and MRI brain scan set for 3:30 this afternoon. They also gave me nortryptaline and maxalt to take instead of the fioricet that I've been taking. The maxalt worked right away, but I did wake up later on last night with a headache again. I go back to the neurologist next month for a follow-up.
Avatar m tn ve been in recovery for ten years, andas long as iIhad someone to hold my hand, support me and my habit and agree when the world was against me, why clean up. Again, great advice and good luck. I know you love them but this is best. At the rate your currently going, you'll love her into the ground, where my brother is. (I know that is harsh but it's the awful truth of addiction. Jails, institutions, and death.
Avatar n tn If your Doctor is aware of the potential side effects of Tramadol and Maxalt and you are being closely monitored, then I apologize for alarming you. If not, you definitely need to talk to him/her about it. Should you decide to discontinue one of these drugs before speaking with your Doctor, the Maxalt would be the one. Don't stop taking the Tramadol. It has to be tapered down.
655875 tn?1295695107 My friend had called me and I told her that I was too sick to talk and that I had run out of my Maxalt. My friend is a life saver! When she got off of work, she picked up my Maxalt and brought it to me. She also brought me some hot dogs, chips and pop because I had nothing to eat in the house. Hubby left on Wednsday and took the kids up to the cabin, so I've been here alone. I thought that was extremely nice of my friend to go and do that for me.
Avatar f tn When I was having frequent migraines and my insurance would only pay for one refill of Maxalt each month, I obtained prescriptions for both Maxalt and Relpax and filled both each month. They worked equally well for me.
Avatar n tn The first time I took Maxalt-Mlt it made me a bit dizzy. Also my nose and fingers got very cold. However I didn't experience vomiting so I would call your doctor asap about that. Another thing, you can only take two of those within a 24 hour period. If the first one didn't work, wait two hours then take another. Pls call your doctor regarding this. Keep us updated pls.
Avatar f tn 07, but lost my insurance and could not afford to go... Here we are, exactly a year later and I have not seen a physician again since then. My insurance at my new job kicks in Nov.1, but I would to know all I can about this "spot" prior to following up with anyone. In the past, I have claimed there is "something not right" in my brain...
Avatar f tn I'm now 20 weeks pregnant and suffer from migraines and daily tension headaches. I get them daily. I was prescribed Fioricet, but everything I've read scares me. I had a friend who took them almost daily due to hormonal headaches which increased with pregnancy and her baby is healthy.
Avatar f tn For example, Vicodin can be 5mg of hydro and 500mg of tylenol as can Lortab. Or Vicodin can be 10mg of hydro and 325 mg of tylenol and so can Lortab. So they only way one will be stronger than the other as if the Vicodin was 5/500 and the Lortab is 10/325. I hope I have been clear in anwsering your question. If I haven't been please let me know.
Avatar f tn Maxalt rocks. I love it and carry it everywhere with me. www.maxalt.com Another new med www.relpax.com (I have some, just not had a headache lately to use them) because I take my magnesium :0-). Avatar f tn can you take lortab with clomid?my foot doc put me on lortab and my obgyn put me on clomid will lortab mess with clomid are will clomid still work?
Avatar n tn I am 20 weeks pregnant with a healthy little girl (had CVS and level II ultrasound.) Everything looks great. My OB has prescribed lortab for migraines and a neck dystonia (which was previously treated with Botox - but not now due to the pregnancy.) My question is at low levels of lortab -- less than 10Mg a day (and some days with nothing) would it be safe to assume that the chances of withdrawl or low? Should I stop taking completely a month before due date?
Avatar m tn Have you looked into Maxalt. I just got out of recovery and Maxalt was given to a lot of the guys who were having migraines due to w/ds. It was also prescribed as long term treatment for those whos migraines didn't go away. I don't know much about it as I have never taken it but I am still in contact with some of the guys from recovery and they seem to get a lot of relief from it. I do know it is expensive without insurance.
Avatar f tn I miss work all the time, cannot get out of bed! The pain and fatigue is getting unbearable. I feel like my primary doctor really can't help me - every time I go, I feel like they pull a new medicine out of the bag of tricks for me (the guniea pig) to try. Was wondering what 'other' people out there are taking for their FMS.
1577473 tn?1296177286 I saw the doctor for the first appt and she put me on Zonisamide as a migraine preventative and Maxalt-MLT 10 mg as a rescue medication as well as ordering some labs, an MRI and an MRA. All tests came back normal. The Maxalt worked well when I got the migraines but insurance wasn't too happy with it so we had to switch. She then put me on Relpax which didn't work at all. The Zonisamide gave me some pretty intense heart palpitations so I was switched to Topomax.
Avatar f tn d have trigeminal neuralgia, tinnitis, one eye would blur, and he often lost the hearing in one ear. And then the global head pain would come on. All abortive medications except Maxalt would fail to work, and even Maxalt didn't work all of the time. His attacks would last hours to days, sometimes bad enough that he was vomiting and suicidal from the pain level.

Avatar f tn Migraine usually presents with other symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light and sound. Rest, pain medication and ice pack may help. Take care and do keep us posted.
1030950 tn?1261010513 Hey there, Maxalt shouldn't cause rebound headaches, BUT it is true that you can only take 2 doses every 24 hours. So, never take more than two doses in 24 hours and never take more then 2 doses for the SAME migraine. OTC medications such as Ibuprofen (advil) or acetaminophen (Tylenol) are much more likely to cause rebound headaches than triptans such as Maxalt.
