maxalt

Avatar m tn However, I was diagnosed with silent migraine or migraine equivalent by my neuro. I was given Topiramate and Maxalt. The Maxalt did absolutely nothing and the Topiramate put me through two weeks of constant dizziness and vertigo not to mention a couple of panic attacks. I quit the Topiramate and had severe withdrawal symptoms that put me in the E.R. Blood work, urinalysis, chest xray, and head CT w/out contrast all checked out fine.
Avatar f tn There is a risk of serious interaction between lithium and lexapro. I will send you the information.
Avatar f tn I have migraines about every other day, and take 5mg maxalt for them. I was just given Remeron for depression, as the doc said i cannot take any SSRI's because of serotonin syndrome. I cannot find and interactions for Remeron, but just wondering if anyone else has tried these together. Any info appreciated.
Avatar m tn Hi, I was on Lexapro 10mg for about 3 weeks and my doctor up my dose to 20mg. The last 2 days, I've had a headache off and on. I had a headache off and on for the first week when I took the 10mg and then it went away. I know headache is a common side effect but was wondering what I could take for it? I read that ibuprofen and asprin can cause interactions. Are the interactions for people that take a lot or what? Thanks for the help.
1046692 tn?1255391835 PLEASE READ THE ADVICE FROM RCA7591 VERY CAREFULLY AND DO NOTHING UNTIL YOU'VE DISCUSSED THIS WITH YOUR DOCOTR(S) IF IT WAS THE SAME DOCTOR WHO PUT YOU ON LEXAPRO AND THEN PRESCRIBED IMETREX..........HE/SHE IS A MORON AND I'D FIND A NEW DOCTOR...........STAT! THIS KIND OF MISTAKE IS UNACCEPTABLE.
Avatar f tn Alcohol and antidepressants should not be mixed. I'm sure you already know this. Many of these meds go through the liver and so does alcohol. Are you feeling alright? Have you been feeling sick?
Avatar f tn Has anyone experienced breathing problems with Zoloft. Youknow, the "I can't quite catch my breath" feeling. And if you yawn you finally get enough air. My heart and lungs have checked out fine. Other than that , I feel much better for since being on it for 2weeks. Also, any thoughts on the sucess of other meds besides zoloft? Prozac? Lexapro?
Avatar n tn I can tell you one thing - my psychologist told me that depression and anxiety and lack of sleep can, themselves, SEVERELY affect memory. I also take Ambien to help with sleeping and one of its potential side effects is also memory issues.
Avatar f tn does either imitrex or maxalt contain caffeine? I was taking Maxalt for migraines and it worked great! Now my insurance has decided I need to try Imitrex before they will approve coverage for the Maxalt. The Imitrex took about 2 hours to have any effect, but eventually my headache subsided. Since then I have had recurring headaches for 4 days.
527657 tn?1214051850 Bedtime medications: Seroquel 25 mg, Lexapro 20 mg, Lithium 150 mg, Tylenol 500mg, Colace 100 mg, Senna 2 tabs, Flexeril 10mg. Family member is experiencing hallucinations. Is there a drug interaction here?
Avatar m tn Hi, For years I've been on 20 mg Lexapro. I never had ED, but it often took me a long time to climax during sex. My doctor and I decided to try switching to Wellbutrin (mostly because we thought it might help improve motivation). I'm still in the process of switching over -- cutdown from 20mg Lexapro to 10mg, and I'm now on 200mg Wellbutrin taken twice a day (400 mg total). The depression symptoms are handled fine and I think there is increased motivation.
Avatar f tn m going to assume the later). Maxalt is available in a regular tablet form and an oral dissentigrating (ODT) form. The regular tablet form is now available in generic and is fairly cheap. If you received the brand name only ODT version then I would make sure the MD writes for only generic drugs and ask the pharmacist (who should have mentioned it came in generic in a different formulation) if there is something similar that the MD can change it to before you pay a lot for a RX.
Avatar n tn I am on 20mg of Lexapro and 30mg of Remeron. Was on 10mg Lexapro and 45mg Remeron, but the weight gain is very real so I am attempting to get off the Remeron. When I asked what I could add to the Lexapro (since I have treatment resistant depression) I was told Seroquil might be a good addition. Sometimes I'm not sure if my doctor really knows what he's talking about. I don't want to gain weight on Seroquil after finally getting off Remeron.
Avatar f tn I take Toprol for high blood pressure and I checked some drug interaction websites and they advise that Paxil and Toprol can have some kind of interaction with your heart so I'm thinking I have to use a different anxiety/anti-depressant medication or else switch my high blood pressure medication. I have a call into my doctor about the BP meds but I was wondering if anyone has any good experiences or recommendations as to a good anxiety medication.
1082885 tn?1256244474 I was not told of a specific connective tissue disease. However, the doctor stated that it would reduce my chance of having lupus in the future (or something to that affect). So, actually, I'd like to get off plaquenil for a while. I'm tired of taking meds. I take asthma / allergy drugs and lexapro as well. I'm to the point where I'd rather see an alternative doc but am concerned about the costs with health insurance. Plus I want to make sure it works. Thanks.
1185895 tn?1266608090 I was just recently switched from my old medication, Lexapro, to Clonazepam. I had been on Lexapro for 9 years and felt it was no longer helping me. I have been having panic attacks for the first time in my life. I have had to call 911 a few times this past year. I now know that it is panic attacks. I have a history of severe hypertension. So, the stress and anxiety just adds to that. My doctor put me on Clonazepam 0.5 mg. 3X daily. I started taking it on January 15. It has helped tremendously.
1063764 tn?1272821064 It's hard to see exactly where they would interact, since they work on completely different physiological processes. Then again, everyone has their own peculiarities when it comes to this stuff. Melatonin is a hormone made naturally by the body to set the body clock and as an antioxidant. It doesn't affect serotonin in any direct way, but obviously if you're not sleeping well it won't help serotonin do its thing.
717272 tn?1277590780 Oh, something you might want to hear about: Nurse finally figured out today that my Lexapro interacts with my interferon and crashes platelets even worse. I took Celexa for a little while, platelets dropped. Started taking it again and they really dropped. Stopped it, went up. Started Lexapro and they dropped. Went to half dose and they went up. I mentioned interaction to the nurse long ago. Celexa & Lexapro are almost the same drug.
1578386 tn?1296256257 I went to pick up my Tramadol for the pharmacy and they said they would not fill because of drug ineractions with the lexapro and said the Dr. would have to sign off on the refill, which she did. The fact that the pharmacy said there were drug ineractions I thought I would quit taking and the fatique has taken over so bad I was unable to work. I decided to take 2 this a.m. and wonder what to do now. I must take my lexapro ~ what should I do now. Any answers would be wonderful!!!!
Avatar n tn I was prescribed Lexapro for mood and maxalt for headache by PCP ( have been on numerous triptans for the last ten years for good control) When my perimenopausal symptoms began to increase hot flashes, sleep difficulties and mood, I was placed on Yaz. It has overall been great. Controlled by anxiety except for right before menses.
Avatar f tn Also, my symtoms don't exactly match the standard either, but after going to a Headache clinic I was confirmed as having migraines-the pain is on either the left or right front of my forehead never goes beyond the ears and can be a real pain unless I catch them at the beginning, if wake up with "full blown" it becomes a race btw the Maxalt and the migraine, I have had anywhere from 15-18 per month, also have to use strong coffee and ice pack or it's just a waste of the Maxalt a
Avatar n tn t im saying it is different for each individual and there individual drain chemistry and the drugs interaction with this...

Avatar m tn I've noticed a lot of exacerbated ADHD symptoms by taking SSRI medications. SSRI medicines are hard to manage when I have severe hyperactivity and inattentiveness with ADHD, yet the SSRI seems to help in other areas that I mentioned. I have spoken to my psychiatrist about this a couple times, and he told me to try and time the doses between Dexedrine and Lexapro so I don't have too much Lexapro before trying to study, and try not to have too much Dexedrine close to bed.
