I have to take it every time after intercourse cause I'm so prone to getting uti's.

Most medications are contraindicated during pregnancy especially during the first three months when the unborn child’s organs start to develop. Macrobid is safe in pregnancy after the first 2 months or 8 weeks . Continuing its use will help prevent resistance to the medications later on. A close follow up with your physician is important and just take it as indicated by the doctor. Do not take it more than the intended number of days.
Has anyone been perscribed, or taken macrobid at the ens of there pregnancy? I was proscribed it. I habe two different drs and im.being induced monday. And it DIRECTLY states dont use it 37 weeks or later or close to delivery. .. im scared and this pregnancy is so freaking hard on me. Im getting to the point of giving up. And i dont want to cause my boy and family need me to fight.
Talk to your doctor about this immediately. My understanding is Macrobid has been known to cause problems when taken during late pregnancy:
"If you get recurrent urinary tract infections or if the infection gets into your kidneys, your caregiver may recommend taking nitrofurantoin (trade name Macrodantin or Macrobid) for the rest of your pregnancy to prevent another infection.
Definitely see your doctor.. It sounds like a uti. The last time I had a uti and didn't get it treated on time it ended up being really painful and causes kidney stones!

Are you pregnant? Macrobid is pregnancy category B--- used in pregnancy. Cipro, the gold standard is pregnancy category C--- not the best choice for someone who is pregnant. Amoxicillin isn't the best choice at all for a UTI based on the common bacteria that causes UTI's. Every infection is caused by a specific strain of bacteria. Some antibiotics are going to work better on different strains of bacteria.
I think the best thing to do is try not to worry, easier said then done i know, iv had an ear infection the last week and was given ear drops, it says not to take during pregnancy so i started to read stuff online, so i thought i would get a second opinion from my midwife, she said everything they give you will say "dont take durintg pregnancy" but most of the stuff is harmless, she said aslong as your doctor/nurse know your pregnant and they have given you it, you have nothing to worr

I’ve took 3 pregnancy test, 1 at home and 2 at the hospital and they all were negative. I’m currently taking Antibiotic Macrobid for my UTI and I was given 1 dose of naproxen At the hospital for my severe uti pain. Could any of this be the stopping my conception and implantation? My period is due in 6 days, what are the chances I can still be pregnant?
Oh my. You are clearly very anxious. You used condoms, are a 'perfect birth control user' and took plan B. Plan B is a major whopping dose of hormones. It's going to throw your system off. Holy hormone overload! I think you are protected from pregnancy but in situations like this, you should get guidance from your doctor. You don't want to do more harm to your system by overdoing the anxious pregnancy prevention!
