lunesta

Avatar n tn But after a bed svt episode in december, i have been needing something stronger for my sleep anxiety. My doc also recommended me Lunesta but im too scared to try it, its 3mg. I think that might be a too high of a dose. Does anyone know what can help me sleep without anxiety? Has anyone else tried Lunesta for sleep anxiety. I have tried not sleeping with any med but end up staying up all night panicing even though i am super tired. Please help me get back to sleep so i can focus more on my life.
Avatar f tn It's 3 weeks since I've been having a pretty serious depression, including anxiety & sleeplessness. I was put on a new antidepressant LexiPro (15 days now), xanax as needed, which I only need to "take the edge off" when Im shaky, and Lunesta to sleep. This is the 2nd time I've used Lunesta.

266660 tn?1189755834 ) I was prescribed Klonopin for anxiety and sleep and she said to not take it with Lunesta (this is after I asked *her*, she didn't mention it until then.) The Klonopin seems to work as well as the Lunesta, BTW. Kevin, I've read that Lunesta and Ambien are the same "types" of sleep aids but that is all I know. I hope Ryan can clear this up for us.
Avatar n tn I was perscribed ambien 4 days ago for insomnia. It really helps with the anxiety when i fall asleep, but only lets me sleep for a few hours then im up...but still tired. I feel groggy all day and very frustrated and i cannot think straight at all. I have noticed though when i take it i feel veyr very nauseas. Its hard eat because of the nausea. Has anyone else experience nausea with Ambien? I dont know why it is making me nausea. My doc then perscribed lunesta 3mg.
Avatar f tn To use very short term, possibly even skipping nights is ok. How many did he give you and for how long? Lunesta has some nasty side effects, driving and eating while sleeping, confusion. Did you try OTC sleep aids? Melatonin, valerian root, altering, sleep by nature made?
2021910 tn?1339896686 I'm sure the benefit outweighed the risk. I know expectant moms who took that during their pregnancies or they'd never sleep. I believe it's a class c not positive.
Avatar f tn Several factors are responsible for a disturbed sleep such as medical problems, stress, depression, anxiety, medications, poor sleep hygiene and declining hormone levels (in menopausal women). Since you are informing that several medications have failed in providing a good sleep to you, it would be a good idea that you try out some cognitive, behavioral or natural therapies first.
Avatar n tn Which sleep aid is less addicting and less toxic, ambien or lunesta. I have heard ambien is hard on your liver.
Avatar m tn Hi weaver! I just got prescribed Lunesta! I have taken it for a few days now. For me, it's not really powerful! I am getting about 6 straight hours of sleep before waking up! That is much better than I was getting! My doctor offered me Ambien, but I've heard horror stories of people doing crazy things like driving while on it! Also, I don't seem to have any dreams, at least not that I can remember!
Avatar n tn The Lunesta usually allows for 6-7 hours of continuous sleep. The initial sedating effects of the Remeron lasted anly about 2 weeks but in combination with either one of the hypnotics, it seems to be helping, now 9 months later So, the questions I have are: Do any others take Remeron with one of the above mentioned hypnotics? Can this medication combo be continued on a long term basis? Is the 2 week at a time duration sufficient to keep from becoming tolerant to zolpiedem and Lunesta?
Avatar n tn I have Hashimoto's and my Endo prescribed Lunesta 2 for me, I sleep better than I did without them, I still do not sleep a full 8 hrs like I used to, but sometimes I get 7, most case 6, I was not aware of any interactions with Hashi' sufferers, But if bunny235 can paste a link to where the article is, I would be interested in checking that out, I checked drugs ******* and could find no warnings for Hashi's/Lunesta.
Avatar m tn I too took for years and stopped abruptly . I had poor sleep for 3 nights. headaches for 2.5 days and that was it. Nothing like benzo w/d.. You'll be fine. If your nervous you could taper to halfs with your DC blessing for a week first. Good luck.
Avatar f tn The best thing I know of for anxiety and RLS. Is a brisk walk for a half hour. I found it to be a miracle cure for anxiety. Hang on it will ease up soon.
335728 tn?1331414412 ll add a new category of treatments called anti-depressants to the sleep tracker in the near future. Zopiclone is actually the generic name for Lunesta, so go ahead and use Lunesta (already in the tracker) to track usage of Zopiclone. We'll let you know when anti-depressants are available to track.
1580703 tn?1651904887 I started clonezepam for my sleep apnea, I twitch all the time in my leg/arm before I fall asleep and I seem to have slept well even without bipap once I felt this urge to write something and I started twitching like I had a seizure for a few minutes
Avatar m tn I'm a male, 31. I've been on 175mg trazadone and lunesta (anywhere from 1.5mg (half pill), 3mg (full pill), or 4.5mg - one and half pills). I usually do 175mg trazadone plus half pill lunesta for sleep almost every night. i've been on the sleep meds for about 2-3 months. Sometimes, i take just lunesta since I have retrograde ejaculation due to trazadone. I take these medications for sleep insommnia. They work. I also take propecia for hair loss (not sure that it's related).
Avatar f tn I have a sleep disorder that was caused by taking medication for anxiety, but the anxiety itself never gave me chronic sleep problems -- it only affected me when something really hard for me to do was coming up. So it differs by the person, and the correct diagnosis is important. Something that helped me a lot until the medication problem was exercising regularly and meditating daily. As for the Zoloft, Mom has already explained that for you.
Avatar m tn only take the lunesta for insomnia - not nightly for sleep..... How often daily does he need the diazepam and the fentanyl now? The opana does the same thing as the fentanyl - - keep those as far apart as you can. Dont mix the lunesta and the diazepam in too close a dose. They will also mirror each others affects. Sounds like Doc Jeff could help a little more if he knew how many of what and at what times he takes them.
Avatar f tn And believed that I would die from lack of sleep. Finally doc.presribed me a lunesta and some xanax. Knocked me out for 12 hours. Then I was fine. Nine months later the anxiety slowly creeped back and I started to lose sleep little by little, till I wad so panicky at bedime that I couldnt sleep at all.
Avatar f tn Lyrica isnot a sleep aid. Its for people with nerve pain/fibromyalgia and the such. I take it only for 4 days now, lowering the dose each night for fear of addiction. They say its non addictive but LIARs Liars, pants on fires. I have heard of horrific withdrawal stories from it. Lunesta gave me the metalic taste as does Ambien. Also makes my gums inside my cheeks sore and jaw pain. Had to get off of both. Lyrica makes me sleep all night and half the morning so, Im not taking it anymore.
Avatar n tn However, I still hae terrible sleep problems. I am on Lunesta 2 mg. I have been taking Lunesta for 2 years now every night. Sometimes I sleep , sometimes I don't. When I do sleep, I only sleep for about 5 hours. If any thing is bothering me whether it bothers me a little or alot I don;t sleep, or I sleep a little at a time and wake up. No matter how tired i am I start feeling awake around 11:00 at night. Sometimes this awake feeling subsides around 1:30 in the morning.
Avatar f tn Try Benadryl, it usually knocks you out pretty well, and is the active ingredient in most nighttime sleep aids. Just be sure to take it a few hours before hand initially, or your next day could be a bit 'foggy" .
