Avatar f tn I just don't know if I can hang in here. I started a second job and I can't keep focus at work when I only sleep 4hrs a night. I know I should be focused on my health but I'm a single mom and I also have my desable mother I need to care for. I'm just so tired all the time and feel like I might cave in any minute now if I don't get some good rest...
Avatar n tn Isnt there only 1 strength of ambien? I have been taking 10mg and I usually split it in half. I have went off of it for a few months but do not sleep. They are investigating pituitary, adrenal, thyroid problems for the reason I cant sleep. I dont even get tired ever have you ever heard of this?
Avatar f tn It's 3 weeks since I've been having a pretty serious depression, including anxiety & sleeplessness. I was put on a new antidepressant LexiPro (15 days now), xanax as needed, which I only need to "take the edge off" when Im shaky, and Lunesta to sleep. This is the 2nd time I've used Lunesta.

335728 tn?1331414412 I want to keep track of how often I require these aids to help me sleep so that I can report it to my physician. Thank you!
2021910 tn?1339896686 I'm sure the benefit outweighed the risk. I know expectant moms who took that during their pregnancies or they'd never sleep. I believe it's a class c not positive.
Avatar n tn I have tried every antideppressant possible all of them being to sensitive for me. I realize when i get a good sleep my anxiety is gone, but i havent been sleeping in months. Whenever i fall asleep i feel so anxius and wake right back up panicing. My doctor put me on Ambien and it really helps with the anxiety at bed time so i can at least sleep peacefully for 4 hours.
Avatar f tn I started taking Ambien & Prozac in Oct 2009. I started building a resistance so my doctor prescribed for me Restoril, that didn't work so she started me on Lunesta. After I started building a resistance to the Lunesta my doctor prescribed for me Ambien CR 12.5mg. It's now March 2010 and I need 4 or more Ambien CR to sleep. I can't sleep without it!!! I haven't taken the CR 12.5mg in 24hr and I have the common addiction symptoms.
Avatar m tn only take the lunesta for insomnia - not nightly for sleep..... How often daily does he need the diazepam and the fentanyl now? The opana does the same thing as the fentanyl - - keep those as far apart as you can. Dont mix the lunesta and the diazepam in too close a dose. They will also mirror each others affects. Sounds like Doc Jeff could help a little more if he knew how many of what and at what times he takes them.
710513 tn?1247522479 talk to ur doctor and see what he can do for u...lunesta never worked for me and i take ambien when i need something/both r drugs of abuse tho for some people so it depends onwhat u can handle without abusing...something that makes me sleepy has never been sumpin i would abuse as i like the "kick start" or energy part of pills...never took a fancy to benzos either....talk to ur doctor and good luck..
Avatar f tn One of the main reasons I want to quit is I heard a doctor on a raido talk show talk about how sleep aids like Lunesta or Ambien are good for very very short term, but its not real sleep and your not getting the proper cycle and the proper rest period on them. May be the reason Im so tired all the time. Doc doesnt seem overly concerned with my using it or stopping it.

I didn't take any sleep med last night...didnt have a very good sleep but still i feel nausea. I need something to help me sleep without causing nausea and to help me sleep like a baby throughout the night pleaseee.
486038 tn?1300063367 Can you sleep? I used to sleep like a log, and now I move so much it's getting scary. (the past 3/4 year) Last night I hit my head on the windowsill beside my bed while i was sleeping, which promptly woke me up.... i hit it very hard. :) I have a bump, and a one-sided horrid head-ached with pain from that area (bump) above my left temple that radiates into my left eye and nausea and well, just am not happy.
Avatar f tn I've been suffering from insomnia for a few years now. Been prescribed almost every sleep aid available; the OTC's are of no benefit, and the sleep aids I have been prescribed have not been beneficial either because my tolerance to controlled substances is so high due to medicinal treatment for other chronic illnesses. Can anyone suggestion a sleep aid that has helped them achieve more than 1-1/2-2 hours of continuous sleep?
Avatar f tn Lunesta is a sleeping pill, and again, if used every day, it will eventually stop working and will make the insomnia worse. I have no great answers for a sleep problem specifically, but I would try everything out there -- meditation, yoga, increased exercise, more sex, gentle herbs, melatonin, homeopathy, before I'd turn to pharmaceuticals, but sometimes that is the only thing that works.
1076494 tn?1255761761 I never thought I would sleep again...I really feel for you...Good Luck!
Avatar f tn I will let you guys know what she says next week. I am being scheduled for a sleep study. Hoping insurance pays for it, but if not, no big deal. Like I keep saying, I am used to it. It does not bother me to get little sleep. I do go on stretches of going on 36hrs with no sleep, than I sleep for about 3hrs, but that is it. I either watch TV or listen to music, or if I am bymyself, clean house or do laundry.
266660 tn?1189755834 ) I was prescribed Klonopin for anxiety and sleep and she said to not take it with Lunesta (this is after I asked *her*, she didn't mention it until then.) The Klonopin seems to work as well as the Lunesta, BTW. Kevin, I've read that Lunesta and Ambien are the same "types" of sleep aids but that is all I know. I hope Ryan can clear this up for us.
Avatar f tn I take lunesta for sleep, cymbalta for those down times it also helps with pain. I have had 8 surgeries so I do take other pain meds.
Avatar m tn Thank you for your help, I will only take it when I can't sleep any other way.
Avatar m tn I don't know about the medications for depression, fatigue and anxiety - I never took them. Milk thistle is good except when on tx. SamE is great but expensive. I took Ativan for sleep. 5-HTP, Nightrest by Source Naturals and Herb som by Dr. Zhang. You can also drink sleepytime tea (works great) and take 2 magnesium pills before bed.
Avatar f tn Hopefully this will be the toughest time you face, the first week is often a write-off but you will have such a sense of achievement as soon as you start to feel better. Read Emily Post's journal for a long termer's tram detox experience. I found it so reassuring to not be alone with the crazy wdwal side effects & her recovery timetable has been similar to mine. The Thomas recipe is definitely worth it. I found DLPA particularly good for pain & nerves.
Avatar m tn Hi weaver! I just got prescribed Lunesta! I have taken it for a few days now. For me, it's not really powerful! I am getting about 6 straight hours of sleep before waking up! That is much better than I was getting! My doctor offered me Ambien, but I've heard horror stories of people doing crazy things like driving while on it! Also, I don't seem to have any dreams, at least not that I can remember!
327369 tn?1326119908 I sleep so great some nights and others it is a struggle.....I am either wired, heart is palpitating, etc. and then I get anxious because I cannot sleep and know that I will be tired at work the next day. I have some xanex that helps sometimes and I have tried melatonin but nothing is great at helping me. I do not like lunesta or ambien because of side effects. Oh well....just wondering about others out there and how you handle it.
