Okay so my aunt gave me The brand name Fleet Saline Enema Laxative and I'm 9 weeks pregnant. I wanted to know what this okay to take or no.
Do you think laxative use about once a month is too much and will cause lazy colon or is that not so bad? I do have bowel movements but sometimes i just need to get "the rest" out after a month or so.

how much is a laxative overdose? i have had 2 bottles of magnesium citrate, one at 6 pm yesterday and one at 4 PM, 2 dulcolax tablets 4pm, MoviPrep 32 ounces of MoviPrep and will be taking another 32 ounces of MoviPrep at 4 AM in the morning.
I drank an entire bottle of mineral oil laxative in about 3 days. You're only supposed to take 3 tbs every 24 hours, I've taken much more than that. Is there anything I should be concerned about? Or is this no big deal?
Eat more fiber. Long term laxative use will weaken your intestinal muscle. The only way to get yourself off of it it to strengthen it. You may have to deal with that "disgusting bloated" feeling for a while. It took you a while to get to this stage, it'll take a while to get out of it. Digestive enzymes and probiotics will also help.

I try to take enough vegetables and water but no help! Can I use any laxative for softening my stool or suppositor ?
yes definately.... but severe constipation which is also know as piles... use a laxative and consult a doctor it's nothing very serious don't worry but get it treated... good luck..

The other day my friend had a major asthma attack that almost sent him to the ER-- he thankfully had an epipen nearby. He thinks what triggered it was a laxative (sennosides in pill form) he took a couple of hours before. Is this even possible? And if so, should he be avoiding all things laxative? I wouldn't be asking these questions here, but he is too stubborn to go to a doctor like he should.

ve been reading about all the symptoms of severe laxative abuse and is this severe bloating related to this being the end of the line for me with laxatives? I've had episodes where I had to eat a lot of tomato sauce because of the potassium to get my heart to calm down. Now, for the first time, after regular use of sennosides (Swiss Kriss), I can't hardly go no matter how many I take.
Welcome to the gastroenterology community! What laxatives were you taking? You are probably bloating because you are constipated.
