I have never missed a pill, but I guess I could just be being paranoid. Loestrin gives me VERY VERY light periods anyway, and I've heard that even skipping a period on Loestrin is normal. I have taken my first inactive pill today so I guess I just need to wait it out instead of jumping the gun with paranoia. Thanks so much for your reply!
I've been on my bc (loestrin fe) for about 7 months now. I've never missed a pill but occasionally take it at a different time. Between 7:10 and 7:30. I know that that's alright but I go on and off with periods. Sometimes it starts with the white pills and sometimes the red and sometimes not at all. I also have bleeding during my second week for about 3 days. Is this normal? Could I be pregnant? Should I be worried?
Is there a possibility of pregnancy? I know with Microgestin, it says if you miss two periods, you should test.
I would talk to your doctor if this is not a possibility.
The Loestrin helps me but if I miss a pill or am late I get a light period. Today I noticed more pelvic pain while I exercised. Made me think of how acupuncture has helped in the past. Can not afford visits. But if I am better about the Loestrin is helps. I buy nearly 4.5 months worth from a Canadian website for $75.
I started it last October but switched due to getting my period twice a month. The pill I switched to, made me non stop bleed and was so much worse so I switched back. Now it’s been 6 months taking it and I started out bleeding twice a month (spotting) & was very irregular. Now in the 6th month I am 10 days late for my “period”. Since I got it twice a month I’m not sure when my period actually is supposed to be but I didn’t get my period during the non-active pills at the end of the pack.
Hi, i have been on lo loestrin fe for 1 month. Today i am taking second brown pill, which is also the last one...i feel menstrual pain for a few days, but no menstruation. I am worried! Is pregnancy possible if i had intercourse with my bf (while i was on the pill) but he had never ejaculated inside? It is written that lo loestrin fe is protecting you from the first day if u are starting on the first day of your period. Thats how i did. But why is my period not coming?
Hi! Loestrin is a very low dose pill, and sometimes after you have been on it for awhile, the lining of the uterus gets very thin and bleeding becomes irregular.
OR this could be a one time only thing, especially if you missed a pill or took one late.
I would tell my patient to wait and see and if it happens regularly, you may need to swtich pills for awhile.

I am on Loestrin also. Assuming it is the same one, which is the 24 day pill (so only 4 days of the "period" part of the pill). I missed my period also. According to the doctor that is normal with this type of pill. I don't like it, it worries me too much. I was cramping a lot so he had me stop the pill 2 days early. I ended up finally getting my period and it only lasted for 2 days. So like I said, this is aparently normal when on Loestrin.
I have been taking Lo Loestrin Fe since January 2013. While on the pill I was having a period every two weeks. Was this normal? I recently stopped taking the pill at the end of a pack on October 1st. I still have not had a period. Is this normal? My husband and I want to try getting pregnant but I want to be sure my cycle is back to normal. What is going on? HELP!
I switched from Loestrin to Ortho because I started not having periods AT ALL on the Loestrin and I had CRAZY PREGNANCY SYMPTOMS. I got a blood test but it was negative. Now I am on Ortho and am a little nervous because I've heard and read that some people have gotten pregnant on this pill. Any advice????
I am supposed to take it for 3 weeks, two times a day. I am also on Loestrin Fe 24. Sunday, I took a white pill on the birth control. Monday/Yesterday was my first Iron pill this month to trigger my cycle.

Three months ago I was switched by my OBGYN to the oral contraceptive pill Loestrin ( a combination of norethindrone acetate and ethinyl estradiol). I asked my doctor to switch me from my old 'tried & true" BC pill Azurette (Ethinyl estradiol and desogestrel) because of my suspicion that it, Azurette might be making my Chronic Migraine Headache condition worse.
Hello. I am a 16 year old girl, and I just recently started taking the lo loestrin fe birth control pill, but not for sex. I started taking it because I have had athletic induced secondary ammenhorea (loss of my period) due to when I started running and eating healthy. I currently run cross country and track, working out hard almost every day of the week. I am taking this birth control in hope of regulating my period back again.
I've been on Loestrin 24Fe, for about a year now. This month, after my period last month (which was normal) my boyfriend and I stopped using condoms. So it's the first week of my cycle. On Sunday, I took the pill at 1 AM Sunday morning. On Monday, I did the same thing. (I had sex twice on Sunday and Monday during the daytime). Then, on Tuesday, I forgot to take it at 1 AM Tuesday morning, and instead I took it at 10:30 AM Tuesday morning. I didn't miss 24 hours, just 9 hours.
Hi there, I've been having problems for the past 2 months on my pill. I took the morning after pill back in Nov (see other post) and have been having problems ever since. I'm not pregnant and I do not have any STI's. What I've noticed is that when I am on my pill (Loestrin 20) my stomach swells to the point where I can't suck it in, I have a constant dull ache in my ovaries, I have bodily aches and pains and generally feel unwell and tired.
Hi, I have been taking ortho-tricyclen lo for 4+ years and originally loved the pill because I had previously been on loestrin ( a lower dose pill that caused spotting). However, over the past few years I believe that ortho-tricylen has caused me to gain weight and feel extra anxious. My pill pack is ending this sunday and I was toying with the idea of stopping my birth control all together to see if the symptoms were indeed from ortho-tricylen.
I had my LO about 7wks ago i am on the pill loestrin. I told my doc i needed to b on a pill that wasn't going to kill my sex drive like it did b4. The shot was out the question because like 7yr ago i tried n gained 50lbs. iud i heard to many complaints. i been on it for a lil over a week n love it!! Hi, I am on Loestrin 20 pill and 5 days ago I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend. ( and it got me thinking cos you know how they say sperm can live in the vagina for up to 7 days after sex or even longer.)
So 4 days later I forgot one pill and then the next night I was 5 hours late taking the next one, so then I took them both together when I remembered.
But ive been hearing if you forget 2 pills your supposed to take them when you remember and the take another 2 the next day...
I was taking the pill and didn't miss one,had spotting a couple of days, now IM 3 months pregnant! Better take a test! Sounds like what I just went through. Dr says your body can fight against BC sometimes.
So here's my situation: I've been using birth control pills for five years; never been pregnant. I was away and stupidly forgot to refill my birth control prescription before leaving. I'm a Sunday starter, and got back from my trip on Monday night, so it wasn't until Tuesday that I took the pills (I took all of the missed pills). I had sex with my boyfriend Monday night. We did not use a condom, but he pulled out (for what it's worth).
