Hello I started Loestrin 24Fe on March 9, 2008 the Sunday after my period started, but since I have not had a menstrual cycle and I am freaking out! I hear all of this stories regarding blood clogs in your brain because of no menstrual cycles with the pills, is this true?? I've also noticed that my sexual drive has decreased a bit and I've been a bit moody but not as bad as other's I guess!! I am also getting a lot of headaches....
thought it was my loestrin 24 fe but the doc took me off and i still feel funny. have visual tracers most the day and more when i drink alcohol..pressure in temples..jaws..forehead. almost like if i clenched my jaws all day what the muscles would feel like.... problems with looking at patterns.. esp. stripes. and certain colors together. like blue and red. white against any color cause bad tracers. was told i have anxiety? but looking out here to try n see if anyone has had the same problem??
II am trying to pin-point which of my female hormones is out of whack and causing, or at least contributing, to such terrible weekly Migraine headaches. Anyone know a good BC pill for individuals with severe, chronic Migraine headaches during ovulation AND menstruation?
I am 29 yrs old, average weight, in fair health, have never been pregnant, and started my period at age 11.
Both surgeons told me they do not understand why I have such inflammation per mri and just inject me with steroids. 3 months ago I started on loestrin for perimenopausal sympts that are so severe , including continual sweating , that it was necessary. Since the start of the loestrin , all of my symptoms have been so severe I am missing work . Today my Md. just increased my levothyroxine to 100mcg but did give me the option of the cytomel route. .

I just started a new birth control pill called lo loestrin fe. I was on a higher dose birth control but having some side effects so i switched to this one. This was my first month of taking this pill and have gone through the entire pack and did not get my period (i am 2 days into the new pack). I am not sexually active so I am not pregnant but is there a reason for not getting it? Is this bad or is it because its a new pill?

The various causes of headaches could be migraines or tension headaches, sinus headaches radiating to the ear, headache usually front of head, on one or both the sides of temples along with nausea, vomiting, irritability, low blood pressure, sensitivity to lights, sound, etc. aura associated with migraines could include blind spots, blindness in half of your visual field, paresthesia, weakness or visual hallucinations. Your vision needs detailed testing by an ophthalmologist.
I recently started taking Loestrin 24. I started experiencing light bleeding during sex which lasts for a day or 2 then stops, but then occurs again the next time. It only happens during/after sex. I've never had this happen before. There was nothing abnormal when I had my check up and was given the prescription. Has anyone ever heard of this happening with this brand?
Has anyone ever switched from Loestrin 24 to Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo? Anybody ever gotten pregnant while on the "lo estrogen" pills? I switched from Loestrin to Ortho because I started not having periods AT ALL on the Loestrin and I had CRAZY PREGNANCY SYMPTOMS. I got a blood test but it was negative. Now I am on Ortho and am a little nervous because I've heard and read that some people have gotten pregnant on this pill. Any advice????
I have been on Loestrin 24 FE birth control for about 8 months. Since I have been on the pill, I have had monthly 3 day periods that are relatively light. I try and take the pills at the same time every night, but there are some times when I forget and either take the pill a couple of hours later or the next day. This past month my period was only about a day and a half long, if that.
Hi, i have been on lo loestrin fe for 1 month. Today i am taking second brown pill, which is also the last one...i feel menstrual pain for a few days, but no menstruation. I am worried! Is pregnancy possible if i had intercourse with my bf (while i was on the pill) but he had never ejaculated inside? It is written that lo loestrin fe is protecting you from the first day if u are starting on the first day of your period. Thats how i did. But why is my period not coming?
I have been taking Loestrin (generic) for about a year. My doctor gave me the brand as a sample to save some money. I am in week three of the first pack. My period started yesterday. What can cause this early bleeding?
I've not had any problems with Yaz or Loestrin 24. I'm on Loestrin right now because Yaz made me pretty low emotionally. However, I think because they are so low dose pills, they shouldn't cause such a problem.
I've heard bad thinkgs about Seasonal/ique, though. I dunno. I take Loestrin continiously and haven't had an issue, I don't see why you would bother with a pill specifically marketed as "less periods" when you can have them with any.
Hi there. I have recently started taking Lo loestrin Fe for my birth control for almost 2 months now and have been having almost continuous bleeding. That was the only problem until about two weeks ago. Now I'm having serious bloating, headaches, fatigue, cramping, mood swings, and crazy heartburn even when I don't eat anything. This was the exact string of symptoms when I found out I was pregnant with my son. I took a test but it came out negative.
I have been on lo loestrin fe for the past 4 months. This past month I had breakthrough bleeding. I've been told that breakthrough bleeding means that I am not protected anymore, but does that mean that my pills were not working for the entire month prior to breakthrough or just the time after that? Could I have gotten pregnant before breakthrough even if I had taken pills regularly?

I have also been a little crampy and nauseous. Today, especially, I woke up and was dry heaving. I have not noticed any unusual fatigue or headaches.
Could I possibly be pregnant or is it too soon to tell? I have been pregnant before...but I don't remember the fatigue or nausea setting in until I was about 8 weeks pregnant. I am currently on birth control (loestrin 24) but I have been taking this pill for months and have not had these kind of symptoms with it before.
Help - has anyone had a rash with Loestrin - I have been itching and have rash on stomache chest and back. I also experienced terrible depression that put me in a zombie state. I only used this drug for one week and my doctor took me off. Did anyone experience these symptoms???
I have been on Loestrin for nearly a year now. I take it continuously so I do not get a period. This has stopped the endo pain. I'm hoping that it is also preserving my fertility until we are ready to try again.
I do like Loestrin. I have had major depression and I feel fine on L. Sorry though no experience with Yaz. I think L is worth a try. It's different for everyone so you will only know by trying.
per bloodwork, I am only in perimenopause and am on day 5 of Lo Loestrin. Has anyone had success feeling better on this bcp and did it take a couple of cycles to really notice. I get these periodic heart palps and adrenaline rushes throughout the day. I'm still taking flaxseed oil and evening primrose to help control, but am really hoping the Lo Loestrin makes a difference. Has anyone done well taking bcp for their peri symptoms?
I've been on my bc (loestrin fe) for about 7 months now. I've never missed a pill but occasionally take it at a different time. Between 7:10 and 7:30. I know that that's alright but I go on and off with periods. Sometimes it starts with the white pills and sometimes the red and sometimes not at all. I also have bleeding during my second week for about 3 days. Is this normal? Could I be pregnant? Should I be worried?

I've been on birth control since I was 15 (now 23) for ovarian cysts. About a year ago I switched pills from Loestrin 24 fe to Lo Loestrin 24 fe. Within the year I think I've had 2 periods (only lasting a day or so) and a few days of very light spotting. I do know this pill is the lowest dose of hormones you can have with a birth control pill. Is this normal?
