I have been on Loestrin for about 4 months now, true it is low in hormones but I am taking it continuously for Endometriosis so I haven't had any spotting at all. Loestrin itself means low in estrogen.
I have been on lo loestrin fe for the past 4 months. This past month I had breakthrough bleeding. I've been told that breakthrough bleeding means that I am not protected anymore, but does that mean that my pills were not working for the entire month prior to breakthrough or just the time after that? Could I have gotten pregnant before breakthrough even if I had taken pills regularly?

I have been on Loestrin for nearly a year now. I take it continuously so I do not get a period. This has stopped the endo pain. I'm hoping that it is also preserving my fertility until we are ready to try again.
I do like Loestrin. I have had major depression and I feel fine on L. Sorry though no experience with Yaz. I think L is worth a try. It's different for everyone so you will only know by trying.
I discussed with my doctor and she advised me to tke Loestrin 24 Fe but I am not sure of taking this medication as I already have so many complication with my reproductive system. I am 29 and have Hypothyroidism.
I have recently been put on LoEstrin for Endometriosis, and as I was advised have been doing the self breast exams. I have noticed that my left breast has become so tender that I can barely complete the self exam. There is one area in particular that feels more sensitive than the rest of the breast, but I can't really press on it, and can't really feel around to tell if there is a lump because it hurts too much.
I was recently diagnosed with endometriosis and I want kids, just not right now. I'm hoping in the next year to start trying and the doctor is hopeful but I still worry about preserving my fertility. I am currently on lo loestrin fe continuously but the pills make me nauseous. My doctor wants me to start the Lupron Depot shot. Will this help preserve fertility better than the BCP?

For years I had symptoms somewhat similar to yours. I would spot for 3-4 days, have a regular period for a week or so, then dribble for 3-4 days afterward. So essentially, I was having a period for at least half (or more) of the month. Since I couldn't use birth control pills due to breast fibroids, the doctors couldn't control it that way. Then, when I was nearly into menopause, I saw a list of symptoms in the doctor's office that matched mine.
I have never been diagnosed with PCOS, STD, or endometriosis, but I have had A LOT of miscellaneous reproductive organ related issues and lots of migraines.
Three months ago I was switched by my OBGYN to the oral contraceptive pill Loestrin ( a combination of norethindrone acetate and ethinyl estradiol).
My doctor said it is unlikely to be cancer as the CA-125 would be higher if it was. Is that correct? If it is endometriosis would I have had symptoms? What else could cause an elevated CA-125? (I have a history of autoimmune disease - lupus is quiescent, graves disease is active but controlled, autoimmune hepatitis is cured).
I am 21 years old and have always had painful periods. I've been taking Loestrin FE for several months and my periods became much shorter (about a day) and less painful. However, I've had severe, sharp abdominal pains in my stomach for weeks and had a pelvic exam. I was told I most likely have a ruptured cyst, but the doctor made it sound very common and nothing to worry about.
Has anyone ever switched from Loestrin 24 to Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo? Anybody ever gotten pregnant while on the "lo estrogen" pills? I switched from Loestrin to Ortho because I started not having periods AT ALL on the Loestrin and I had CRAZY PREGNANCY SYMPTOMS. I got a blood test but it was negative. Now I am on Ortho and am a little nervous because I've heard and read that some people have gotten pregnant on this pill. Any advice????

I feel pain once in a while and I went for a full pelvis scan and i was diagnosed with a cyst on the right ovary and fluid in POD. The doctor suggested to be on loestrin ( contraceptive ) for 3 months and then scan again. The doctor also mentioned its a common thing among many women. I have a son who is 1.5 years old and I have been having this pain since he was born for last 1 year or so.
Hi, i have been on lo loestrin fe for 1 month. Today i am taking second brown pill, which is also the last one...i feel menstrual pain for a few days, but no menstruation. I am worried! Is pregnancy possible if i had intercourse with my bf (while i was on the pill) but he had never ejaculated inside? It is written that lo loestrin fe is protecting you from the first day if u are starting on the first day of your period. Thats how i did. But why is my period not coming?
I have been taking Loestrin (generic) for about a year. My doctor gave me the brand as a sample to save some money. I am in week three of the first pack. My period started yesterday. What can cause this early bleeding?
I've not had any problems with Yaz or Loestrin 24. I'm on Loestrin right now because Yaz made me pretty low emotionally. However, I think because they are so low dose pills, they shouldn't cause such a problem.
I've heard bad thinkgs about Seasonal/ique, though. I dunno. I take Loestrin continiously and haven't had an issue, I don't see why you would bother with a pill specifically marketed as "less periods" when you can have them with any.
Help - has anyone had a rash with Loestrin - I have been itching and have rash on stomache chest and back. I also experienced terrible depression that put me in a zombie state. I only used this drug for one week and my doctor took me off. Did anyone experience these symptoms???
