loestrin and junel

I had my period September 21..and recently changed to Junel 3 months ago. I did not have a period in October and have taken several pregnancy tests. Then this past week when i was supposed to have my november period, i only had some brown discharge and its not consistent..just at some point everyday. I have not taken a pregnancy test since this has occurred. Not sure if im pregnant or not, because i know you can somewhat "psych" yourself out.

Actually, both of those are generics for the brand names Loestrin and Microgestin. Generics all have their own names but from a chemical standpoint, the active ingredients are identical to the name brand. Where Junel and Blisovi differ is just in the inactive ingredients.

So like I said, this is aparently normal when on Loestrin. Im going to go on the generic of Loestrin, Junel Fe, which worked for me in the past and I think its 21 days of the pill and than 7 days of the "period" part. As much as I dread my period, it's a reassuring thing.

I switched to Junel fe 1/20 about 2 months ago, I've taken the pill daily and haven't been sexually active since I switched, but before I was. I started Lo Loestrin Fe oral birth control pill on January 14, 2014 after being off of it since Thanksgiving of 2013. Previously I had constant break-though bleeding (more like a period- for even 2 and a half weeks) and cramps. i was put on the birthcontrol called loestrin. ive been on loestrin for a little over 6 months now and all of a sudden one day i couldnt have sex anymore because it hurt so much. as time passed this pain went away but now as of today just him inserting it for one second and then all of a sudden ever since it has hurt to pee.why is this?

I told my doctor & she said that the hormones were too low for me. I would let your doctor know and see if there might be a better one out there for you.

I switched from Loestrin to Ortho because I started not having periods AT ALL on the Loestrin and I had CRAZY PREGNANCY SYMPTOMS. I got a blood test but it was negative. After a pelvic ultrasound (and a lot of blood loss, because by this time it was already January!), the doc saw a tennis ball sized cyst on my ovary.

Hi! Loestrin is a very low dose pill, and sometimes after you have been on it for awhile, the lining of the uterus gets very thin and bleeding becomes irregular. OR this could be a one time only thing, especially if you missed a pill or took one late. I would tell my patient to wait and see and if it happens regularly, you may need to swtich pills for awhile. Each birth control pill has slightly different chemical make up that work for some women while can makes others feel side effects and sick. I’m also taking Junel Fe, and it’s worked alright for me, so I’d recommend asking to switch pills.

m now 6 days late my average cycles range from 28-30 days and my period only last 3 days .I have been on Junel Fe for a couple months now me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex on the 20th while I went to go visit him .I lost my birth control the day before and spotted two days later help ?

I've personally never heard of breakthrough bleeding meaning that you aren't protected... You are probably thinking that because sometimes breakthrough bleeding is caused by missing pills or not taking them on time. I used to have really bad breakthrough bleeding issues before my laparoscopy to remove endometriosis, and it would happen with every pill, but I remember I had a lot of it when I was on loestrin for some reason.
