difference between loestrin and junel

I had my period September 21..and recently changed to Junel 3 months ago. I did not have a period in October and have taken several pregnancy tests. Then this past week when i was supposed to have my november period, i only had some brown discharge and its not consistent..just at some point everyday. I have not taken a pregnancy test since this has occurred. Not sure if im pregnant or not, because i know you can somewhat "psych" yourself out.

Actually, both of those are generics for the brand names Loestrin and Microgestin. Generics all have their own names but from a chemical standpoint, the active ingredients are identical to the name brand. Where Junel and Blisovi differ is just in the inactive ingredients.

So like I said, this is aparently normal when on Loestrin. Im going to go on the generic of Loestrin, Junel Fe, which worked for me in the past and I think its 21 days of the pill and than 7 days of the "period" part. As much as I dread my period, it's a reassuring thing.

I've been on my bc (loestrin fe) for about 7 months now. I've never missed a pill but occasionally take it at a different time. Between 7:10 and 7:30. I started Lo Loestrin Fe oral birth control pill on January 14, 2014 after being off of it since Thanksgiving of 2013. Previously I had constant break-though bleeding (more like a period- for even 2 and a half weeks) and cramps. I switched to Microgestin and that made me so sick I stopped, and then restarted Lo Loestrin Fe. I have taken it everyday and have never missed a pill.

per bloodwork, I am only in perimenopause and am on day 5 of Lo Loestrin. Has anyone had success feeling better on this bcp and did it take a couple of cycles to really notice. I get these periodic heart palps and adrenaline rushes throughout the day. I'm still taking flaxseed oil and evening primrose to help control, but am really hoping the Lo Loestrin makes a difference. I liked it better then Loestrin, since while on Loestrin I had breakthrough bleeding every single day. (So annoying.) But even with Femcon, I had breakthrough during the third week, but I was reading that a lot of women get breakthrough bleeding during the first couple of months.

Hi. That's for your well articulated question! Here are my thoughts. You are wise and take your pill correctly. It should be working to protect you. Periods during the sugar pill aren't actually true periods because you never ovulated most likely. They are a reaction to no pill in your system, so a difference in balance and on comes the bleeding. It's probably lighter than pre birth control, right? *often it is. Anyway, our body also makes hormones on its own.

Help - has anyone had a rash with Loestrin - I have been itching and have rash on stomache chest and back. I also experienced terrible depression that put me in a zombie state. I only used this drug for one week and my doctor took me off. Did anyone experience these symptoms???

ve been on the ortho series until I was 32 and the Loestrin (24 and 28) up until my pregnancy and continued it after pregnancy. Both made a big difference. Only now am I feeling more 'inflammatory' like pain. But they said I definately have adhesions (ovary wrapped behind my uterus). I possibly might begin menopause (hot flashes). But all I can say is that birth control pills definately gave me a life. I would try them. Never been on Yaz. You can always get off of them.

Hi I am 37 year old female. I take junel 1.5/30 and when i get to the last week of my pills, I jump right onto my next set of pills. So I dont have a period. Last weekend my bf and I had sex about 4 times with in a 4 hour period. the next day I started to itch, no rash no bumps, no unusual oder.
