loestrin and estrogen

Has anyone ever switched from Loestrin 24 to Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo? Anybody ever gotten pregnant while on the "lo estrogen" pills? I switched from Loestrin to Ortho because I started not having periods AT ALL on the Loestrin and I had CRAZY PREGNANCY SYMPTOMS. I got a blood test but it was negative. Now I am on Ortho and am a little nervous because I've heard and read that some people have gotten pregnant on this pill. Any advice????

I was taking Loestrin Fe and had alot of spotting the first month (not necessarily while having sex). I also had more spotting in the third month. I told my doctor & she said that the hormones were too low for me. I would let your doctor know and see if there might be a better one out there for you.

I think they're confused. If you read the full prescribing information, it's the PILL that screws with the lamotrigine, not the other way around. It's not like a lot of other anticonvulsants. My daughter has been prescribed Loestrin 20 for Estrogen and Progesterone as hormone therapy, due to her having ovarian cancer and having both ovaries removed. She is only 21. She is on her third month of taking and hardly bleed during the fourth week period when she had stopped taking the tablets but has had spotting most of the time.

Din mean to post yet but low dose of estrogen nd progesterin sry for spelling. i have my alarm set on ny phone to remind me daily so i dnt miss it. So far it has good effects just waiting for a period which doc said will b very light. I. did read bad reviews but what don't have bad reviews now a days everyone is different. But my doc said make sure i tare it daily since it does have the lowest dose its very easy to get pregnant if i skip days.

So I had a breast ultrasound and showed a mass that is benign..I changed BCP to one that has less estrogen in it. I also cut out caffeine, soda and meat to experiment with the pain. I haven't been eating much meat only if it is free of hormones and pesticides especailly beef..which I rarely eat. I found that switching over too the lower dose estrogen pill really helped. I don't drink soda anymore and seldom eat meat. I need my caffeine though.

I liked it better then Loestrin, since while on Loestrin I had breakthrough bleeding every single day. (So annoying.) But even with Femcon, I had breakthrough during the third week, but I was reading that a lot of women get breakthrough bleeding during the first couple of months.

Hi, I have been searching the internet and there is absolutely no information on switching from higher doses of estrogen to a lower dose. My doctor is didn't mention anything about how to switch, and is now out of town. Background: I have been taking a combination birth control pill for about 5 years now. I am absolutely religious about taking it at the exact time each day down to the minute.

I started Lo Loestrin Fe oral birth control pill on January 14, 2014 after being off of it since Thanksgiving of 2013. Previously I had constant break-though bleeding (more like a period- for even 2 and a half weeks) and cramps. I switched to Microgestin and that made me so sick I stopped, and then restarted Lo Loestrin Fe. I have taken it everyday and have never missed a pill.

I currently taken 1500 mg of Metformin and was on birth control. I started on Loestrin FE and I found I would get double periods sort of. I would getting spotting for 3 days in week two but then my regualr period the last week. My doctor told me if it continued into month three call him. Well, it continued so he put me on Zovia 35 I think was the name.

Help - has anyone had a rash with Loestrin - I have been itching and have rash on stomache chest and back. I also experienced terrible depression that put me in a zombie state. I only used this drug for one week and my doctor took me off. Did anyone experience these symptoms???

I was on Loestrin 1/20 Fe for 2 years and it initially seemed to help the acne, but eventually it got worse. I switched to Estrostep 1/20 for 6 months and it got even worse. Then I switched to Ortho Cyclen in hope that the higher estrogen dosage would help. It has and my face is almost clear after 3 months. However, it has made me gain weight and be bloated all the time. This is not okay, so I definitely need to switch again because I cannot afford to buy all new clothes in the next size up.

I take Loestrin continuously and have no periods at all. It's made all the difference. I don't have any side effects. Everyone is different though.

I am on Loestrin 24 and had the same issue. I also have cramps the week before, during, and after my period. I have cramps for like three weeks out of the month. They seem to be getting worse too. And I am crazy emotional. Do you have any other side effects?

I was diagnosed with premature ovarian failure in 1998 at 29 with an FSH of 165 and estrogen less than 10. I used loestrin as HRT for about 8 years and then started having much trouble tolerating it, I couldn't get through 1/2 a pack without extreme bloating, fatigue and breast pain.

Laser will not get to the root of the disease/lesions and because of that lesions continue to spread because each lesion has estrogen in it and it takes estrogen to feed it. I hope you find the right medication to help you as that is very important. I got lucky and the BCP Marvelon has worked wonders for me none of those other drugs have.

i was put on the birthcontrol called loestrin. ive been on loestrin for a little over 6 months now and all of a sudden one day i couldnt have sex anymore because it hurt so much. as time passed this pain went away but now as of today just him inserting it for one second and then all of a sudden ever since it has hurt to pee.why is this?

t like depo cuz like 7yrs ago i gained like 50lbs. I am currently on the pill loestrin. I am not well with time but i got my phone alarm set to remind me daily. I like it so far. I wanted something that was going to regulate my periods and give me a sex drive. previous bc killed it. So far it has made my tata's alot more fuller has cleared my face up n i have lost 3lbs. It hasn't made me moody or anything.

Hi! Loestrin is a very low dose pill, and sometimes after you have been on it for awhile, the lining of the uterus gets very thin and bleeding becomes irregular. OR this could be a one time only thing, especially if you missed a pill or took one late. I would tell my patient to wait and see and if it happens regularly, you may need to swtich pills for awhile. did the antibiotics three weeks ago not take care of my sinus infection, and its flaring back up, or could it be because of my period coming on about the same time as my flare? did explain to us that they can only get what they can see. Dr. started her on Loestrin 24 and said hopefully in a few months the pain will get better. If not, we are looking at Lupron shots.
