In general, lisinopril should not be taken with potassium supplements or diuretics that conserve potassium [for example, hydrochlorothiazide/triamterene (Dyazide)], since blood potassium levels may rise to dangerous levels.
PREGNANCY: Lisinopril should not be taken during pregnancy because fetuses and neonates have died when lisinopril was administered during pregnancy.
NURSING MOTHERS: It is not known whether lisinopril is excreted in breast milk.
Personally I don't think the interactions are really a problem but Lisinopril + Lyrica can be reevaluated with your doctor and I would recommend he don't hesitate to call the pharmacist to find the appropriate medication to replace lisinopril that would not interact with Lyrica.
Other medications are metformin 500mg twice daily, Lisinopril 40mg(morning), Trazodone 50. Recently I take tadalafil 10mg and my blood sugar goes very low. My list is Lisinopril 40 mg, Amlodipine 10 mg, Clonidine .1 mg, labetalol 300 mg. All once a day except for my Clonidine which is twice a day. It certainly sounds like drug interactions. You should discuss this with your doctor, making sure he/she has a complete list of you medications.
d like to avoid possible interactions when we choose a multivitamin. She has also had triple bypass surgery and has some high blood pressure but is otherwise in very good shape and very active. I already know that high amounts of certain supplements like vitamin K and iron should be avoided when taking blood thinners but what other vitamins or minerals should be avoided?
She switched me to 100mg ER Metoprolol to take in the morning and 20mg lisinopril for the night. I had to take my bp every day and went back every week.
Every week it would be high at the dr Office and she would increase the lisinopril. Mind you, I didn't take prescription anything prior to this except maybe an antibiotic when needed. Now I'm on these high doses of bp meds. Initially I thought well I'll get used to them, there's always an adjustment time.

I am very wary of taking a tricyclic because of what I have read about, their side-effects profile and so on. I am pre-hypertensive, and take 40mg of lisinopril daily, as well as 50mg of tenormin for anxiety. I have been on the imipramine for 2 days now and have experienced no discernible side effects. Other than the side effects, is there anything else that makes tricyclics less desirable than SSRIs?

20 mg in 7 am , and 20 mg Lisinopril in 7 pm (so total = 40 mg Lisinopril per day). During the day (systolic) hypertension goes 150-160 mmHg and only in 2-4pm it is 130 mmHg (and at 10-12 pm). What should be done for this patient. Maybe trying a diuretic (hydrochlorthiazid) and lowering the dose of Lisinopril? Lisinopril and Metoprolol when I left the hospital, now Lisinopril and carvedilol (coreg). seems like a relatively common combination.
On the 30 day follow up from hospitalization and another echocardiobram I was told my heart function was up to 30%. My lisinopril went from 10 to 20 mg. On my 30 day follow-up office visit from the following cardiocatherization I was told my heart was functioning at 25% even though I was feeling better than before I had the cardiac event in December. Even though I was feeling better the doctor increased my lisinopril to 40mg. I don't get it.
s picked about 7 hours after taking Lisinopril and was really bad at about 12 hours after taking Lisinopril. I experienced about 3100 PVC's during this 24 hr holter report of which approximately 1600 of them came in this 5 hour period between the 7 hour and 12 hour mark post Lisinopril. I do have about 20-80 PVC's per hour during the rest of the day. any thoughts???
I take Coreg(Carvedilol) and Lisinopril. I still want children very badly and was told that basically, there were meds that I can take instead of Lisinopril, but I would have to stop taking Coreg. Of course, I would just have to see how I would do without Coreg... Are there any alternatives to Coreg?
I have been taking Lisinopril for 2 years and since then my resting heart rate is between 90-100. Here recently though after I take Lisinopril it has jumped to 130 when walking 100 when resting. I take Lisinopril in the morning and my pulse jumps but at night it gos back to being okay (Lisinopril's half life is 12 hours). I haven't taken today because I was out but my resting pulse is 90 and when I went to WalMart it went no higher than 110 unlike 140 yesterday.
i also take hormones and xanax...i read where alot of my meds have interactions...but pharmisits say its ok.............
