1312383 tn?1296757611 Hello, If you are having irritated hair follicles with shaving, you can try waxing also. When you are waxing, apply wax in the direction of hair growth and wax should be tolerably hot. Then try to wax the hair out in a single strip as multiple strips may injure the skin more. After waxing apply ice(wrapped in a towel) and some calamine lotion on the skin which helps in soothing. You can also take some over the counter anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen after waxing.
Avatar f tn Do any other women get Brazilian waxing while pregnant? Waxing was the BEST thing I ever decided to do when it came to hair removal. The pain wasn't as bad as people make it out to be. However I go every 4 weeks and tonight is the 3rd time I'll be waxed since I've been pregnant. (I'm 14 weeks) I have noticed the first time it hurt a bit more than usual, then a little more the next time I went. Does waxing become more painful when pregnant or am I just crazy?

1571533 tn?1322943509 Hey. I went to my PCP yesterday and he gave me a LIDODERM, a lidocaine patch, to try and help with the pain in my neck -he thinks if that calms down so will the migraines.. theyve been everyday constantly for well over a month and a half, and no meds help.. nor do therapeutic methods i have here at home.. Has anyone here used it before? And did it help? I tried to use it last night but it wouldnt stick to my neck.
Avatar n tn You can go in for waxing for these hair. If you go in for waxing ,then apply cold compresses(ice cubes wrapped in a towel) on the area after waxing and take some antihistaminic like benadryl or claritin. You can also apply calamine lotion on the area . It will help in soothing the skin. The next day exfoliate with a mild scrub. Also you can go in for laser hair removal which causes permanent reduction of hair and does not cause folliculitis also.
Avatar n tn I don't know if there is a way to reduce the pain during waxing...unless there's some kind of numbing agent out there you can use.
Avatar f tn Is waxing okay? I use shaving foam and razors for my legs and it just irritates them so bad is waxing safe, I.e veet?
Avatar f tn lol i have no idea what the actually risks are, ive never looked into this but if your familiar with waxing and handle it well then im sure you would be fine...i know lots of mommas that keep up their waxing in other more sensitive areas and have no problem... personally i would do it too... but i agree always see what you Dr has to say in regards :) congrats! and good luck!
Avatar f tn I'm an esthetician and we don't reccommend waxing that far along. It can be risky for infections like the other girl said. There may be chance of already losing your plug and what not plus its very sensitive down there.
Avatar f tn s okay for my legs and underarms but that other certain place you know where, does not like it. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and if waxing is okay and how painful it is. Also, if you have any advice on keeping clear skin with any kind of home remedies or anything cheap I would be so grateful. It's not so bad now that I'm 19 but it's a very irritating battle.
Avatar f tn t think waxing is that bad at all. Its something you get use to if you continue to go and its so worth it!!
Avatar f tn Idk about you ladies but its becoming harder and harder to reach and get every spot by shaving as the belly grows. So i was wondering What are the best waxing kits out there that are simple to use. Or what have you ladies done to get any unwanted hair removed down there and on the legs?
