Hi Kel, How long have you been taking the ativan? I can tell you only of my experience. I was taking 1.5 mg for about 6 months. I stupidly started on it to get off opiates. It took me about 3 months of a slow taper to get off. Fortunatly for me I never liked benzo's , it was just a matter of weaning off to lesson w/d. You are down to a low dose. Expect to feel "out of sorts" for a week then slowly the unbalanced feeling will settle. When you feel stable go down .
My son stopped taking his 1.5 mg of Klonopin 6 days ago. He went to the ER and they said he should be okay now to not take anymore Klonopin. He is still feeling some side effects and could not work today. Does anyone have an idea how long the side effects of withdrawal can last? of Alprazolam as a sleeping pill. Now till last month i was 1.5 mg.. Tnis dose or even 1.75mg. did not help for sleep. i developed tolerance.A psychiatrist, my freiend, suggested to reduce Aprazolam to 1 mg. and add Ambien 5 mg. This combination has worked well. I am comgortable. Even my bathroom visits (urination) is reduced. I hope i donot develop tolerance to thie combination.Should i reduce Alprazoam by .25 mg? I want to completly eliminate Alprazolam. t read the prescribed dose, so I took 1000mg in the way that is recommended for travellers diarrhoea, two 250mg tablets Day 1, Day 2 + 3 one 250mg tablet. At this point I was feeling better, my sore throat is gone and the unusual discharge and itching has stopped. Day 3 I felt very nauseous and my diarrhoea came back, so then on Day 4 (today) I looked into the dosage more clearly, and realized its a one pop situation (1000mg one day) so I took my last two 250mg tablets.
I am taking Metformin XR, 1 gm twice a day, total of 2 grams (four 500 mg tablets). I take 1 gram in the morning and 1 at night. My blood sugars tend to run high in the morning and decrease during the day. I have no specific instructions whether to take at meals, with water, etc. Would it likely make any difference to take 1.5 grams at night and 0.5 in the morning, or take it with meals or with water. I asked this of my family doctor and she was uncertain if it would make a difference.
