The sooner you take it the better. It is not 100% and a pregnancy can still occur. Does your wife know when she ovulates? Not all women ovulate in the middle of their cycles.

Plan B is a high dose of levonorgestrel, which is one of the synthetic progestins available in birth control pills. The "period" you get on the pill is actually bleeding caused by the withdrawal of the hormones during the inactive pill week, and not a true period you would get if you were ovulating normally. Plan B is known to cause menstrual irregularities after taking it, and my guess is that you're having withdrawal bleeding after that dose of hormones.

Hi i got period last month on 22nd and got unprotected intercourse with my husband on 25th night and taken levonorgestrel 2 tablets between 48 to 72 hours but after one week i goot some bleeding again for 3 days but that was not heavy bleeding, my question is am i pragnent or not

You can do home urine for pregnancy test after 1 week of your due periods date. Confirmation of pregnancy is done by ultrasonography or serum beta HCG. So wait for your periods ( which seem to be due to one day) and if you miss them then get repeat serum HCG test done.
