If you want to substitute Cipro for one of these other drugs Cipro is in the same drug class as Levofloxacin. Levofloxacin will have the similar side effect though. Strep group B is the problem allthough it depends on if the prostate sample was collected sterilily such as a biopsy. If so then the virudans strep could also be the problem and viridans strep are more resistant to antibiotics.
2 weeks after the last injection the microbioligal sample was negative, but DNA showed gardnerella vaginalis and I took 7 days Levofloxacin. Symptoms persist. I was tested for:
* Urine DNA Chlamydia test negative
* Urethral swab DNA for Trichomonas, ureaplasma and micoplasa - negative

I was a healthy 26 year old when I took the medicine. Actually I was exercising w/ a personal trainer the day I started the medicine. Life has never been the same. Please google Levaquin and you will see there are thousands of others just like you. Most doctors will refuse to even acknowledge the issue.
Careful with Levofloxacin. Sometimes the side effects aren't worth the benefits. I took Levofloxacin to cure a bout of pneumonia. Sure enough, the infection cleared up, but my joints ached so bad I could not raise my arms to take a shower, put my clothes on, bend to tie my shoes, get in and out of a car quickly. Strength training and jogging was out of the question for a month.
I now understand that levofloxacin can cure E. I thought it had to cure C or G, which would in turn cure my E. But it seems, though I'd like someone to confirm it if you have any knowledge, that levofloxacin directly cures E.

Epididymitis was cured by levofloxacin in 2 days but why and what caused my E in the first place?

Maybe my scrotum skin was weak during sex and it got infected during the sex process, but not by any STD.
Still waiting for the results in the meantime I got 2 shots from my butt a very strong 1000 mg antibiotics (something starting with ro?) and using since 3 days ciprobay (ciprofloxacin) 500mg and flagyl (metradinazole). do you think this treatment clears everything? actually it feels better but still i can see some discharge (lessened) and burning while peeing. There's also some pain in kidney since 4 days. i feel dizzy and have joint aches and maybe a very mild fever. Can this be ARS?

Last night as soon as I laid down to bed I got the bad headache in the same place along with eye pain in my left eye. I took two aspirins to ease the pain. They eased the headache, but not the eye pain. I have been up for four hours and still have eye discomfort. I have not noticed any change in vision. Should I be concerned.
