keppra

Avatar f tn I see these color blobs that move in my vision that shouldn’t be there, they don’t show any connection to stimuli so I don’t have synesthesia. I’m on levetiracetam aka keppra and clobazam aka onfi. When I was on oxcarbazepine (trileptal) and levetiracetam (keppra) I started having these weird headaches where I would lose my vision, hearing, smell, and coordination, but I could still speak and feel. The doctors are pretty much stumped. Has anyone ever had a situation like this?
Avatar m tn I am an Indian Citizen living in the US. I have been taking LEVETIRACETAM (to control partial-onset seizures) since 2011. Currently, I am in perfect health conditions. As a precautionary medicine, I get the medicine from India either myself or through a friend/family member traveling between India and the US. Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, I am running short of medicine. I have my prescription and medical certificates to support my condition.

1930934 tn?1323212204 I just to ask about the human canine tooth. Since it is the longest tooth, how long it takes to extract this?My canine was abscessed for almost a month. 571167 tn?1223214465 I do not believe the medications the medical community has place him on are worth the side-effects. They placed him on Levetiracetam, Benztropine, and Abilify, and the side-effects are NOT worth the potential benefit of what--self-control? I have worked with youth in placement for 18 years, and these medications do not make any significant difference in their judgments because they do not change their value system.

Avatar m tn At this point of time he is not able to speak more than two words in a row. His Hb is 8.9. He is on valporate, topiramate and levetiracetam. His MRI scan revealed "Assymetric Right Temporal Horn prominence without any difinite evidence of mesial scerosis" His walking pattern is also erratic. Most often he adopts "Toe Walking". When he walks slowly, which is rare, he walks alright. Always he tries to rush up and runs in an imbalancing manner.
Avatar f tn Hi there, the various side effects with keppra or levetiracetam are dizziness, irritability, tiredness, fatigue, severe allergic reactions, extreme dizziness, drowsiness, weakness or tiredness, memory loss, behavior changes like aggression, panic attacks, restlessness, new or worsening seizures etc. in the period immediately after a seizure attack, it could be the post ictal phase or confusion. Consult your neurologist for your evaluation and change of anti epileptic medication. Hope this helps.
Avatar n tn There is quite a bit of gunk built up in between the permanent canine (fully erupted) and baby canine. Every bit of research I have done online suggests removal- but she told me that the vet she takes her dog to said that it was fine to leave them.

Avatar n tn Presently, I have an infected canine tooth. I went to a new dentist apx. 10 days ago and was told it needed to be extracted. The dentist first prescribed amoxicillin for the infection. It has been over ten days, and I have pain and swelling in my lower cheek. Upon calling my dentist, I asked for a stronger antibotic (hence I have a tolerence of amoxicillin due to years of usage) he denied and let me know I needed to have tooth immediately extracted or the infection would spread.
1510461 tn?1290076920 This may be Canine Acne or an allergy. Allergies would be to something her chin comes into contact with daily such as a rubber ball, favorite plastic toy, plastic food or water dish. Using either ceramic or glass food and water bowls and removing plastic and rubber toys would help to eliminate a contact chin allergy. For Canine Acne, we often recommend daily cleaning of the chin lesions gently with betadine, rinsing well with water, pat dry and swab 2-3 times a day with rubbing alcohol.
Avatar n tn There is a human Parvovirus known commonly as Fifth Disease, but it has no relationship to Canine Parvovirus. Canine Parvovirus does not seem to be contagious to humans and cleaning your house with dilute bleach should remove the infection from your home as Ireneo has described above, but it is imperative to check with your Pediatrician and Infectious Disease Doctor at the hospital where your child is currently being treated.
Avatar f tn There have been reports of effective seizure control from patients following up monthly. They are using Levetiracetam (Keppra) as an adjuvant to another first line anti-epileptic medication. Most of them are suffering from partial seizures. And the first line drug is mostly Tegretol. Only a few patients have complained about mood swings so far. All had predominantly depressed mood, but not to the extent of being called depressive disorder. This must be about 10% of the patients.
Avatar n tn My son is 11 and only just got his two first teeth which happen to be his fangs, every baby is different
7378022 tn?1390751481 I just had my 6 month old Chihuahua mix in for the removal of 2 incisors that erupted straight out vs. down, and a milk tooth canine which didn't fall out. X-rays were taken, and it showed her adult canine teeth under the gums. My vet thinks the incisors prevented their coming in, and feels they may descend now that there is room. My concern is what if they don't?
